Psalms 148

1 Hallelujah! Praise the LORD from the heavens; give praise in the heights.	1 Al eluia! Praise Yahweh from the heavens, praise him in the heights.
2 Praise him, all you angels; give praise, all you hosts.	2 Praise him, all his angels, praise him, al his host!
3 Praise him, sun and moon; give praise, all shining stars.	3 Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, al shining stars,
4 Praise him, highest heavens, you waters above the heavens.	4 praise him, highest heavens, praise him, waters above the heavens.
5 Let them all praise the LORD'S name; for the LORD commanded and they were created,	5 Let them praise the name of Yahweh at whose command they were made;
6 Assigned them duties forever, gave them tasks that will never change.	6 he established them for ever and ever by an unchanging decree.
7 Praise the LORD from the earth, you sea monsters and all deep waters;	7 Praise Yahweh from the earth, sea-monsters and all the depths,
8 You lightning and hail, snow and clouds, storm winds that fulfill his command;	8 fire and hail, snow and mist, storm-winds that obey his word,
9 You mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars;	9 mountains and every hill, orchards and every cedar,
10 You animals wild and tame, you creatures that crawl and fly;	10 wild animals and al cattle, reptiles and winged birds,
11 You kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all who govern on earth;	11 kings of the earth and al nations, princes and all judges on earth,
12 Young men and women too, old and young alike.	12 young men and girls, old people and children together.
13 Let them all praise the LORD'S name, for his name alone is exalted, majestic above earth and heaven.	13 Let them praise the name of Yahweh, for his name alone is sublime, his splendour transcends earthand heaven.
14 The LORD has lifted high the horn of his people; to the glory of all the faithful, of Israel, the people near to their God. Hallelujah!	14 For he heightens the strength of his people, to the praise of al his faithful, the children of Israel, thepeople close to him.
