1 A song of ascents. Of David. I rejoiced when they said to me, "Let us go to the house of the LORD."	1 Canto delle ascensioni. Di Davide. Mi rallegrai quando mi dissero: "Andremo alla casa del Signore".
2 And now our feet are standing within your gates, Jerusalem.	2 E ora i nostri piedi sono nell'interno delle tue porte, Gerusalemme!
3 Jerusalem, built as a city, walled round about.	3 Gerusalemme costruita come città, in sé ben compatta!
4 Here the tribes have come, the tribes of the LORD, As it was decreed for Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD.	4 Là salivano le tribù, le tribù del Signore, secondo il precetto dato a Israele di lodarvi il nome del Signore.
5 Here are the thrones of justice, the thrones of the house of David.	5 Sì, là s'ergevano i seggi del giudizio, i seggi della casa di Davide.
6 For the peace of Jerusalem pray: "May those who love you prosper!	6 Augurate la pace a Gerusalemme: vivano in prosperità quanti ti amano!
7 May peace be within your ramparts, prosperity within your towers."	7 Sia pace fra le tue mura, prosperità fra i tuoi palazzi.
8 For family and friends I say, "May peace be yours."	8 Per amore dei miei fratelli e amici dirò: Sia pace in te! Per amore della casa del Signore, nostro Dio, chiederò: Sia bene per te!
9 For the house of the LORD, our God, I pray, "May blessings be yours."
