Psalms 122

1 A song of ascents. Of David. I rejoiced when they said to me, "Let us go to the house of the LORD."	1 Canticum ascensionum. David. Laetatus sum in eo, quod dixerunt mihi: “ In domum Domini ibimus ”.
2 And now our feet are standing within your gates, Jerusalem.	2 Stantes iam sunt pedes nostri in portis tuis, Ierusalem.
3 Jerusalem, built as a city, walled round about.	3 Ierusalem, quae aedificata est ut civitas, sibi compacta in idipsum.
4 Here the tribes have come, the tribes of the LORD, As it was decreed for Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD.	4 Illuc enim ascenderunt tribus, tribus Domini, testimonium Israel, ad confitendum nomini Domini.
5 Here are the thrones of justice, the thrones of the house of David.	5 Quia illic sederunt sedes ad iudicium, sedes domus David.
6 For the peace of Jerusalem pray: "May those who love you prosper!	6 Rogate, quae ad pacem sunt Ierusalem: “ Securi sint diligentes te!
7 May peace be within your ramparts, prosperity within your towers."	7 Fiat pax in muris tuis, et securitas in turribus tuis! ”.
8 For family and friends I say, "May peace be yours."	8 Propter fratres meos et proximos meos loquar: “ Pax in te! ”.
9 For the house of the LORD, our God, I pray, "May blessings be yours."	9 Propter domum Domini Dei nostri exquiram bona tibi.
