1 Now these are the kings of the land, which the children of Israel smote, and possessed their land on the other side Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east:	1 Voici les rois du pays que les Israélites avaient battus au-delà du Jourdain à l’est, depuis le torrent de l’Arnon jusqu’à la montagne de l’Hermon, avec toute la Araba à l’est (Israël s’était emparé de leurs territoires):
2 Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon, and ruled from Aroer, which is upon the bank of the river Arnon, and from the middle of the river, and from half Gilead, even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon;	2 Sihon, roi des Amorites, qui habitait Heshbon. Son royaume commençait à Aroër, sur le bord de la vallée de l’Arnon; il comprenait le fond de la vallée, la moitié de Galaad jusqu’au Yabok, le torrent qui marque la frontière avec les Ammonites,
3 And from the plain to the sea of Chinneroth on the east, and unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea on the east, the way to Beth-jeshimoth; and from the south, under Ashdoth-pisgah:	3 la Araba jusqu’à la mer de Kinnérot à l’est et jusqu’à la mer de la Araba ou Mer Salée à l’est, en direction de Beth-Ha-Yéchimot, et au sud, le bas des coteaux du Pisga.
4 And the coast of Og king of Bashan, which was of the remnant of the giants, that dwelt at Ashtaroth and at Edrei,	4 Og, roi du Bashan, un des derniers Réphaïm. Il résidait à Achtarot et à Édréï.
5 And reigned in mount Hermon, and in Salcah, and in all Bashan, unto the border of the Geshurites and the Maachathites, and half Gilead, the border of Sihon king of Heshbon.	5 Son royaume commençait au mont Hermon avec Salka; il comprenait tout le Bashan jusqu’à la frontière des Guéchourites et des Maakatites, et la moitié de Galaad jusqu’à la frontière de Sihon, roi de Heshbon.
6 Them did Moses the servant of the LORD and the children of Israel smite: and Moses the servant of the LORD gave it for a possession unto the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh.	6 Moïse, le serviteur de Yahvé, et les Israélites les avaient vaincus, et Moïse avait donné leur territoire en possession à la tribu de Ruben, à celle de Gad et à la demi-tribu de Manassé.
7 And these are the kings of the country which Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side Jordan on the west, from Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon even unto the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir; which Joshua gave unto the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions;	7 Voici la liste des rois du pays que Josué et les Israélites battirent de ce côté-ci du Jourdain, à l’ouest, depuis Baal-Gad dans la vallée du Liban jusqu’au mont Pelé qui se dresse à côté de Séïr. Josué distribua leurs terres et en fit l’héritage des tribus d’Israël,
8 In the mountains, and in the valleys, and in the plains, and in the springs, and in the wilderness, and in the south country; the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites:	8 que ce soit dans la montagne ou dans le Bas-Pays, dans la Araba ou sur les coteaux arrosés, au désert et au Négueb, chez les Hittites, les Amorites, les Cananéens, les Périsites, les Hivvites et les Jébusites:
9 The king of Jericho, one; the king of Ai, which is beside Bethel, one;	9 Le roi de Jéricho, un; le roi d’Aï, à côté de Béthel, un;
10 The king of Jerusalem, one; the king of Hebron, one;	10 le roi de Jérusalem, un; le roi d’Hébron, un;
11 The king of Jarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one;	11 le roi de Yarmout, un; le roi de Lakish, un;
12 The king of Eglon, one; the king of Gezer, one;	12 le roi d’Églon, un; le roi de Guézer, un;
13 The king of Debir, one; the king of Geder, one;	13 le roi de Débir, un; le roi de Guéder, un;
14 The king of Hormah, one; the king of Arad, one;	14 le roi de Horma, un; le roi d’Arad, un;
15 The king of Libnah, one; the king of Adullam, one;	15 le roi de Libna, un; le roi d’Adoullam, un;
16 The king of Makkedah, one; the king of Bethel, one;	16 le roi de Makkéda, un; le roi de Béthel, un;
17 The king of Tappuah, one; the king of Hepher, one;	17 le roi de Tapoua, un; le roi de Héfer, un;
18 The king of Aphek, one; the king of Lasharon, one;	18 le roi d’Afek, un; le roi de Saron, un;
19 The king of Madon, one; the king of Hazor, one;	19 le roi de Mérom, un; le roi de Haçor, un;
20 The king of Shimron-meron, one; the king of Achshaph, one;	20 le roi de Chimron-Méron, un; le roi d’Akchaf, un;
21 The king of Taanach, one; the king of Megiddo, one;	21 le roi de Tanak, un; le roi de Méguiddo, un;
22 The king of Kedesh, one; the king of Jokneam of Carmel, one;	22 le roi de Qédesh, un; le roi de Yoknéam, au pied du Carmel, un;
23 The king of Dor in the coast of Dor, one; the king of the nations of Gilgal, one;	23 le roi de Dor, sur les coteaux de Dor, un; le roi des nations en Galilée, un;
