1 And it came to pass on the day that Moses had fully set up the tabernacle, and had anointed it, and sanctified it, and all the instruments thereof, both the altar and all the vessels thereof, and had anointed them, and sanctified them;1 Lorsque Moïse eut achevé le tabernacle, et qu'il l'eut dressé, qu'il l'eut oint et sanctifié avec tous ces ustensiles, ainsi que l'autel avec tous ses ustensiles,
2 That the princes of Israel, heads of the house of their fathers, who were the princes of the tribes, and were over them that were numbered, offered:2 les princes d'Israël, chefs des familles dans chaque tribu, qui commandaient à tous ceux dont on avait fait le dénombrement,
3 And they brought their offering before the LORD, six covered wagons, and twelve oxen; a wagon for two of the princes, and for each one an ox: and they brought them before the tabernacle.3 offrirent leurs présents devant le Seigneur, d'abord six chars couverts, avec douze boeufs. Deux chefs offrirent un char, et chacun d'eux un boeuf, et ils les présentèrent devant le tabernacle.
4 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,4 Alors le Seigneur dit à Moïse:
5 Take it of them, that they may be to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation; and thou shalt give them unto the Levites, to every man according to his service.5 Recevez d'eux ces choses pour les employer au service du tabernacle, et vous les donnerez aux Lévites, afin qu'ils s'en servent selon les fonctions de leur ministère.
6 And Moses took the wagons and the oxen, and gave them unto the Levites.6 Moïse, ayant donc reçu les chars et les boeufs, les donna aux Lévites.
7 Two wagons and four oxen he gave unto the sons of Gershon, according to their service:7 Il donna aux fils de Gerson deux chars et quatre boeufs, selon le besoin qu'ils en avaient.
8 And four wagons and eight oxen he gave unto the sons of Merari, according unto their service, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.8 Il donna aux fils de Mérari les quatre autres chars et les huit boeufs, pour s'en servir à toutes les fonctions de leur charge, sous les ordres d'Ithamar, fils du prêtre Aaron.
9 But unto the sons of Kohath he gave none: because the service of the sanctuary belonging unto them was that they should bear upon their shoulders.9 Mais aux fils de Caath il ne donna point de chars ni de boeufs, parce qu'ils s'occupent de ce qui regarde le sanctuaire, et qu'ils portent eux-mêmes leurs charges sur leurs épaules.
10 And the princes offered for dedicating of the altar in the day that it was anointed, even the princes offered their offering before the altar.10 Les chefs firent donc leurs oblations devant l'autel pour la dédicace de l'autel, au jour où il fut consacré par l'onction.
11 And the LORD said unto Moses, They shall offer their offering, each prince on his day, for the dedicating of the altar.11 Et le Seigneur dit à Moïse: Que chacun des chefs offre chaque jour ses présents pour la dédicace de l'autel.
12 And he that offered his offering the first day was Nahshon the son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah:12 Le premier jour, Nahasson, fils d'Aminadab, de la tribu de Juda, offrit son oblation:
13 And his offering was one silver charger, the weight thereof was an hundred and thirty shekels, one silver bowl of seventy shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary; both of them were full of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat offering:13 et son présent fut un plat d'argent du poids de cent trente sicles, et un vase d'argent de soixante-dix sicles au poids du sanctuaire, tous deux pleins de farine mêlée d'huile pour le sacrifice;
14 One spoon of ten shekels of gold, full of incense:14 un petit vase d'or du poids de dix sicles, plein d'encens;
15 One young bullock, one ram, one lamb of the first year, for a burnt offering:15 un boeuf pris du troupeau, un bélier, et un agneau d'un an pour l'holocauste,
16 One kid of the goats for a sin offering:16 un bouc pour le péché,
17 And for a sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five he goats, five lambs of the first year: this was the offering of Nahshon the son of Amminadab.17 et, pour le sacrifice des pacifiques, deux boeufs, cinq béliers, cinq boucs, et cinq agneaux d'un an. 84 This was the dedication of the altar, in the day when it was anointed, by the princes of Israel: twelve chargers of silver, twelve silver bowls, twelve spoons of gold:84 Voilà donc tout ce qui fut offert par les princes d'Israël à la dédicace de l'autel, au jour qu'il fut consacré: douze plats d'argent, douze vases d'argent et douze petits vases d'or;
85 Each charger of silver weighing an hundred and thirty shekels, each bowl seventy: all the silver vessels weighed two thousand and four hundred shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary:85 chaque plat d'argent pesant cent trente sicles, et chaque vase soixante-dix, en sorte que tous les vases d'argent pesaient ensemble deux mille quatre cents sicles au poids du sanctuaire;
86 The golden spoons were twelve, full of incense, weighing ten shekels apiece, after the shekel of the sanctuary: all the gold of the spoons was an hundred and twenty shekels.86 douze petits vases d'or pleins d'encens, dont chacun pesait dix sicles au poids du sanctuaire, et qui faisaient tous ensemble cent vingt sicles d'or;
87 All the oxen for the burnt offering were twelve bullocks, the rams twelve, the lambs of the first year twelve, with their meat offering: and the kids of the goats for sin offering twelve.87 douze boeufs du troupeau pour l'holocauste, douze béliers, douze agneaux d'un an, avec leurs oblations de liqueurs, et douze boucs pour le péché;
88 And all the oxen for the sacrifice of the peace offerings were twenty and four bullocks, the rams sixty, the he goats sixty, the lambs of the first year sixty. This was the dedication of the altar, after that it was anointed.88 et, pour les hosties des pacifiques, vingt-quatre boeufs, soixante béliers, soixante boucs, soixante agneaux d'un an. Ce sont là les offrandes qui furent faites à la dédicace de l'autel, lorsqu'il fut oint et sacré.
89 And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubims: and he spake unto him.89 Et quand Moïse entrait dans le tabernacle de l'alliance pour consulter l'oracle, il entendait la voix de Dieu, qui lui parlait du propitiatoire placé au-dessus de l'arche du témoignage, entre les deux chérubins, d'où Il parlait à Moïse.
