Psalms 97

1 The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof.	1 O Senhor reina! Que a terra exulte de alegria, que se rejubile a multidão das ilhas.
2 Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne.	2 Está envolvido em escura nuvem, seu trono tem por fundamento a justiça e o direito.
3 A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about.	3 Ele é precedido por um fogo que devora em redor os inimigos.
4 His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.	4 Seus relâmpagos iluminam o mundo, a terra estremece ao vê-los.
5 The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.	5 Na presença do Senhor, fundem-se as montanhas como a cera, em presença do Senhor de toda a terra.
6 The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.	6 Os céus anunciam a sua justiça e todos os povos contemplam a sua glória.
7 Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all ye gods.	7 São confundidos os que adoram estátuas e se gloriam em seus ídolos; pois os deuses se prostram diante do Senhor.
8 Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O LORD.	8 Ouve e se alegra Sião, exultam as cidades de Judá por causa de vossos juízos, Senhor.
9 For thou, LORD, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods.	9 Porque vós, Senhor, sois o soberano de toda a terra, vós sois o Altíssimo entre todos os deuses.
10 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.	10 O Senhor ama os que detestam o mal, ele vela pelas almas de seus servos e os livra das mãos dos ímpios.
11 Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.	11 A luz resplandece para o justo, e a alegria é concedida ao homem de coração reto.
12 Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.	12 Alegrai-vos, ó justo, no Senhor, e dai glória ao seu santo nome.
