The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof.1 A Psalm of David himself. Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has performed wonders. His right hand has accomplished salvation for him, with his holy arm.
Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne.2 The Lord has made known his salvation. He has revealed his justice in the sight of the nations.
A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about.3 He has remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.4 Sing joyfully to God, all the earth. Sing and exult, and sing psalms.
The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.5 Sing psalms to the Lord with stringed instruments, with strings and the voice of a psalmist,
The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.6 with subtle wind instruments and the voice of woodwinds. Make a joyful noise before the Lord our king.
Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all ye gods.7 Let the sea be moved and all its fullness, the whole world and all who dwell in it.
Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O LORD.8 The rivers will clap their hands, the mountains will exult together,
For thou, LORD, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods.9 before the presence of the Lord. For he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the whole world with justice, and the peoples with fairness.
Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.
Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
