1 When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.	1 Canto delle ascensioni. Quando il Signore ricondusse i prigionieri di Sion, ci sembrava di sognare.
2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.	2 Allora la nostra bocca si riempì di sorriso, la nostra lingua di canti di gioia. Allora si diceva fra le genti: "Il Signore ha compiuto grandi cose per loro!".
3 The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.	3 Grandi cose ha compiuto il Signore per noi: eravamo felici!
4 Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.	4 Restaura, Signore, le nostre sorti, come i torrenti che scorrono nel Negheb.
5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.	5 Quelli che seminano nel pianto, mieteranno nella gioia.
6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.	6 Va piangendo colui che porta il seme da gettare; mentre viene con gioia colui che porta i suoi covoni.
