1 When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.	1 Cantique des montées. Quand le Seigneur fit rentrer les captifs de Sion nous pensions rêver.
2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.	2 Nous en avions le rire aux lèvres et des chants plein la bouche. Les païens eux-mêmes disaient: “Le Seigneur s’est surpassé, que n’a-t-il fait pour eux!”
3 The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.	3 Oui, pour nous le Seigneur a fait de grandes choses et nous étions dans la joie.
4 Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.	4 Fais donc, Seigneur, que rentrent nos exilés irrigue à nouveau les terres arides.
5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.	5 Ceux qui sèment dans les larmes moissonneront dans la joie.
6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.	6 C’est en pleurant qu’on fait la route, emportant la semence des semailles, mais on revient dans la joie, portant les gerbes.
