1 In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.	1 Canto delle salite.Nella mia angoscia ho gridato al Signoreed egli mi ha risposto.
2 Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.	2 Signore, libera la mia vitadalle labbra bugiarde,dalla lingua ingannatrice.
3 What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?	3 Che cosa ti darà,come ti ripagherà,o lingua ingannatrice?
4 Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.	4 Frecce acute di un prodecon braci ardenti di ginestra!
5 Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!	5 Ahimè, io abito straniero in Mesec,dimoro fra le tende di Kedar!
6 My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.	6 Troppo tempo ho abitatocon chi detesta la pace.
7 I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.	7 Io sono per la pace,ma essi, appena parlo,sono per la guerra.
