1 When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;	1 ALLELUJA! Amikor Izrael kivonult Egyiptomból, Jákob házanépe az idegen nép közül,
2 Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.	2 Júda lett az ő szentélye, Izrael a birodalma.
3 The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.	3 Látta a tenger és elfutott, a Jordán visszafelé tartott.
4 The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.	4 Ugrándoztak a hegyek, mint a kosok, és a halmok mint juhok bárányai.
5 What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?	5 Mi lelt téged, tenger, hogy elfutottál, és téged, Jordán, hogy visszafordultál?
