Psalms 114

1 When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;	1 Alleluia! Quand Israël sortit d'Egypte, la maison de Jacob, de chez un peuple barbare,
2 Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.	2 Juda lui devint un sanctuaire, et Israël, son domaine.
3 The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.	3 La mer voit et s'enfuit, le Jourdain retourne en arrière;
4 The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.	4 les montagnes sautent comme des béliers et les collines comme des agneaux.
5 What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?	5 Qu'as-tu, mer, à t'enfuir, Jourdain, à retourner en arrière,
6 Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?	6 et vous, montagnes, à sauter comme des béliers, collines, comme des agneaux?
7 Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;	7 Tremble, terre, devant la face du Maître, devant la face du Dieu de Jacob,
8 Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.	8 qui change le rocher en étang et le caillou en source.
