1 A psalm for David, for a remembrance of the sabbath.	1 Salmo de David. En conmemoración.
2 Rebuke me not, O Lord, in thy indignation; nor chastise me in thy wrath.	2 Señor, no me corrijas con ira, | no me castigues con cólera.
3 For thy arrows are fastened in me : and thy hand hath been strong upon me.	3 Tus flechas se me han clavado, | tu mano pesa sobre mí.
4 There is no health in my flesh, because of thy wrath : there is no peace for my bones, because of my sins.	4 No hay parte ilesa en mi carne | a causa de tu furor; | no tienen descanso mis huesos | a causa de mis pecados.
5 For my iniquities are gone over my head : and as a heavy burden are become heavy upon me.	5 Mis culpas sobrepasan mi cabeza, | son un peso superior a mis fuerzas.
6 My sores are putrified and corrupted, because of my foolishness.	6 Mis llagas están podridas y supuran | por causa de mi insensatez;
7 I am become miserable, and am bowed down even to the end : I walked sorrowful all the day long.	7 voy encorvado y encogido, | todo el día camino sombrío.
8 For my loins are filled with illusions; and there is no health in my flesh.	8 Tengo las espaldas ardiendo, | no hay parte ilesa en mi carne;
9 I am afflicted and humbled exceedingly : I roared with the groaning of my heart.	9 estoy agotado, deshecho del todo; | rujo con más fuerza que un león.
10 Lord, all my desire is before thee, and my groaning is not hidden from thee.	10 Señor mío, todas mis ansias están en tu presencia, | no se te ocultan mis gemidos;
11 My heart is troubled, my strength hath left me, and the light of my eyes itself is not with me.	11 siento palpitar mi corazón, me abandonan las fuerzas, | y me falta hasta la luz de los ojos.
12 My friends and my neighbours have drawn near, and stood against me. And they that were near me stood afar off :	12 Mis amigos y compañeros | se alejan de mí, | mis parientes se quedan a distancia;
13 And they that sought my soul used violence. And they that sought evils to me spoke vain things, and studied deceits all the day long.	13 me tienden lazos los que atentan contra mí, | los que desean mi daño me amenazan de muerte, | todo el día murmuran traiciones.
14 But I, as a deaf man, heard not : and as a dumb man not opening his mouth.	14 Pero yo, como un sordo, no oigo; | como un mudo, no abro la boca;
15 And I became as a man that heareth not : and that hath no reproofs in his mouth.	15 soy como uno que no oye | y no puede replicar.
16 For in thee, O Lord, have I hoped : thou wilt hear me, O Lord my God.	16 En ti, Señor, espero, | y tú me escucharás, Señor, Dios mío;
17 For I said: Lest at any time my enemies rejoice over me : and whilst my feet are moved, they speak great things against me.	17 esto pido: que no se alegren por mi causa; | que, cuando resbale mi pie, | no canten triunfo.
18 For I am ready for scourges : and my sorrow is continually before me.	18 Porque yo estoy a punto de caer, | y mi pena no se aparta de mí:
19 For I will declare my inequity : and I will think for my sin.	19 yo confieso mi culpa, | me aflige mi pecado.
20 But my enemies live, and are stronger that I : and they hate me wrongfully are multiplied.	20 Mis enemigos están vivos y son poderosos, | son muchos los que me aborrecen sin razón,
21 They that render evil for good, have detracted me, because I followed goodness.	21 los que me pagan males por bienes, | los que me atacan cuando procuro el bien.
22 Forsake me not, O Lord my God : do not thou depart from me.	22 No me abandones, Señor; | Dios mío, no te quedes lejos;
23 Attend unto my help, O Lord, the God of my salvation.	23 ven aprisa a socorrerme, | Señor mío, mi salvación.
