Deuteronomium 33

1 Und das ist der Segen, mit dem Mose, der Mann Gottes, die Israeliten segnete, bevor er starb.	1 And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.
2 Er sprach: Der Herr kam hervor aus dem Sinai, er leuchtete vor ihnen auf aus Seïr, er strahlte aus dem Gebirge Paran, er trat heraus aus Tausenden von Heiligen. Ihm zur Rechten flammte vor ihnen das Feuer des Gesetzes.	2 And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.
3 Der du die Völker liebst: In deiner Hand sind alle Heiligen eines jeden von ihnen. Sie haben sich dir zu Füßen geworfen, jeder wird sich erheben, wenn du es befiehlst.	3 Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words.
4 Mose hat uns eine Weisung übergeben, ein Besitztum für eine Gemeinde Jakobs,	4 Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob.
5 und ein König erstand in Jeschurun - als sich die Häupter des Volkes versammelten, die Vereinigung der Stämme Israels.	5 And he was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered together.
6 Ruben soll leben, er sterbe nicht aus - doch habe er wenig Männer.	6 Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few.
7 Und dies sagte er für Juda: Höre, Herr, die Stimme Judas, führ ihn heim zu seinem Volk. Mit eigenen Händen kämpfe er dafür - sei du ihm Hilfe gegen seine Feinde.	7 And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou an help to him from his enemies.
8 Für Levi sagte er: Levi hat deine Tummim erhalten, deine Urim dein treuer Gefolgsmann, den du in Massa auf die Probe stelltest, mit dem du strittest am Wasser von Meriba;	8 And of Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah;
9 der von seinem Vater und seiner Mutter sagte: Ich habe beide nie gesehen!, und der seine Brüder nicht erkannte und von seinen Kindern nichts wissen wollte. Denn die Leviten haben auf dein Wort geachtet - nun wachen sie über deinen Bund.	9 Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant.
10 Sie lehren Jakob deine Rechtsvorschriften, Israel deine Weisung. Sie legen Weihrauch auf, damit du ihn riechst, legen das Ganzopfer auf deinen Altar.	10 They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar.
11 Segne, Herr, Levis Besitz, freu dich am Werk seiner Hände! Zerschlag seinen Feinden die Hüften, seinen Hassern, sodass sie sich nicht mehr erheben.	11 Bless, LORD, his substance, and accept the work of his hands: smite through the loins of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not again.
12 Für Benjamin sagte er: In Sicherheit wohne der Liebling des Herrn. Täglich wacht über ihn der Höchste und zwischen seinen Schultern wohne er.	12 And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; and the LORD shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders.
13 Und für Josef sagte er: Sein Land sei vom Herrn gesegnet mit Köstlichem des Himmels, mit Tau, mit Grundwasser, das in der Tiefe lagert,	13 And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath,
14 mit Köstlichem aus den Erzeugnissen der Sonne, mit Köstlichem aus dem, was jeden Monat sprießt,	14 And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon,
15 mit dem Besten uralter Berge, mit Köstlichem ewiger Hügel,	15 And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills,
16 mit Köstlichem des Landes und seiner Bewohner und (über ihn komme) die Gnade dessen, der im Dornbusch wohnt. Das komme über Josefs Haupt, auf den Scheitel des Geweihten aus seiner Brüder Schar.	16 And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren.
17 Der Erstling seines Stiers - wie herrlich ist er! Seine Hörner sind Büffelhörner. Mit ihnen stoße er die Völker alle zusammen nieder, die Enden der Welt. Das sind die Zehntausende aus Efraim, das sind die Tausende aus Manasse.	17 His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.
18 Und für Sebulon sagte er: Lache, Sebulon, wenn du in See stichst, und du, Issachar, in deinen Zelten!	18 And of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in thy going out; and, Issachar, in thy tents.
19 Sie werden Völker zum Berge rufen, dort werden sie gültige Opfer schlachten. Denn sie nähren sich vom Überfluss der Meere, von Schätzen, die im Sand verborgen sind.	19 They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand.
20 Und für Gad sagte er: Gepriesen sei der, der Gad Raum schafft. Gad lauert wie ein Löwe, Arm und Kopf reißt er ab.	20 And of Gad he said, Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head.
21 Das erste Stück hat er sich ausgesucht, denn wo der Anteil des Anführers war, da versammelten sich die Häupter des Volkes. Er tat, was vor dem Herrn recht ist, (hielt sich) gemeinsam mit Israel (an) seine Rechtsvorschriften.	21 And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of the LORD, and his judgments with Israel.
22 Und für Dan sagte er: Dan ist ein junger Löwe, der aus dem Baschan hervorspringt.	22 And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion's whelp: he shall leap from Bashan.
23 Und für Naftali sagte er: Naftali, gesättigt mit Gnade, gefüllt mit dem Segen des Herrn - See und Süden nimm in Besitz!	23 And of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali, satisfied with favour, and full with the blessing of the LORD: possess thou the west and the south.
24 Und für Ascher sagte er: Mehr als die (anderen) Söhne sei Ascher gesegnet, bei seinen Brüdern sei er beliebt, er bade seinen Fuß in Öl.	24 And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil.
25 Deine Riegel seien von Eisen und Bronze. Hab Frieden, solange du lebst!	25 Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be.
26 Keiner ist wie der Gott Jeschuruns, der in den Himmel steigt, um dir zu helfen, auf die Wolken in seiner Hoheit.	26 There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.
27 Eine Wohnung ist der Gott der Urzeit, von unten (tragen sie) die Arme des Ewigen. Er trieb den Feind vor dir her, er sagte (zu dir): Vernichte!	27 The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.
28 So siedelte Israel sich sicher an, die Quelle Jakobs für sich allein, in einem Land voller Korn und Wein, dessen Himmel Tau träufeln lässt.	28 Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.
29 Wie glücklich bist du, Israel! Wer ist dir gleich, du Volk, gerettet durch den Herrn, den Schild, der dir hilft, deine Hoheit, wenn das Schwert kommt? Deine Feinde werden sich vor dir erniedrigen und du setzt deinen Fuß auf ihre Nacken.	29 Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.
