1 sagte der Herr zu Mose und zu dem Priester Eleasar, dem Sohn Aarons:	1 And it came to pass after the plague, that the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, saying,
2 Ermittelt die Gesamtzahl der Gemeinde aller Israeliten, die zwanzig Jahre und älter sind, aller wehrfähigen Israeliten, nach Großfamilien geordnet.	2 Take the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, throughout their father's house, all that are able to go to war in Israel.
3 Da redeten Mose und der Priester Eleasar zu den Israeliten in den Steppen von Moab, am Jordan bei Jericho,	3 And Moses and Eleazar the priest spake with them in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho, saying,
4 zu allen Männern von zwanzig Jahren und darüber, wie der Herr es Mose befohlen hatte. Das sind die Israeliten, die aus Ägypten ausgezogen waren:	4 Take the sum of the people, from twenty years old and upward; as the LORD commanded Moses and the children of Israel, which went forth out of the land of Egypt.
5 Ruben war der Erstgeborene Israels. Zu den Rubenitern gehörten von Henoch die Sippe der Henochiter, von Pallu die Sippe der Palluiter,	5 Reuben, the eldest son of Israel: the children of Reuben; Hanoch, of whom cometh the family of the Hanochites: of Pallu, the family of the Palluites:
6 von Hezron die Sippe der Hezroniter, von Karmi die Sippe der Karmiter.	6 Of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites: of Carmi, the family of the Carmites.
7 Das waren die Sippen der Rubeniter. Die Zahl der bei ihnen Gemusterten betrug 43730 Mann.	7 These are the families of the Reubenites: and they that were numbered of them were forty and three thousand and seven hundred and thirty.
8 Der Sohn Pallus war Eliab;	8 And the sons of Pallu; Eliab.
9 die Söhne Eliabs: Nemuël, Datan und Abiram. Datan und Abiram waren die Abgeordneten der Gemeinde, die mit Mose und Aaron in Streit geraten waren, zusammen mit den Anhängern Korachs, als diese mit dem Herrn in Streit geraten waren.	9 And the sons of Eliab; Nemuel, and Dathan, and Abiram. This is that Dathan and Abiram, which were famous in the congregation, who strove against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korah, when they strove against the LORD:
10 Die Erde tat ihren Rachen auf und verschlang sie und Korach, als seine Anhänger ums Leben kamen; das Feuer fraß die zweihundertfünfzig Mann und sie wurden zu einem warnenden Zeichen.	10 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died, what time the fire devoured two hundred and fifty men: and they became a sign.
11 Die Söhne Korachs waren aber dabei nicht ums Leben gekommen.	11 Notwithstanding the children of Korah died not.
12 Zu den Simeonitern gehörten folgende Sippen: von Jemuël die Sippe der Jemuëliter, von Jamin die Sippe der Jaminiter, von Jachin die Sippe der Jachiniter,	12 The sons of Simeon after their families: of Nemuel, the family of the Nemuelites: of Jamin, the family of the Jaminites: of Jachin, the family of the Jachinites:
13 von Serach die Sippe der Serachiter, von Schaul die Sippe der Schauliter.	13 Of Zerah, the family of the Zarhites: of Shaul, the family of the Shaulites.
14 Das waren die Sippen der Simeoniter, im Ganzen 22200 Mann.	14 These are the families of the Simeonites, twenty and two thousand and two hundred.
15 Zu den Gaditern gehörten folgende Sippen: von Zifjon die Sippe der Zifjoniter, von Haggi die Sippe der Haggiter, von Schuni die Sippe der Schuniter,	15 The children of Gad after their families: of Zephon, the family of the Zephonites: of Haggi, the family of the Haggites: of Shuni, the family of the Shunites:
16 von Osni die Sippe der Osniter, von Eri die Sippe der Eriter,	16 Of Ozni, the family of the Oznites: of Eri, the family of the Erites:

19 Die Söhne Judas waren: Er und Onan; Er und Onan aber waren in Kanaan gestorben.	19 The sons of Judah were Er and Onan: and Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan.

21 Zu den Perezitern gehörten von Hezron die Sippe der Hezroniter und von Hamul die Sippe der Hamuliter.	21 And the sons of Pharez were; of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites: of Hamul, the family of the Hamulites.
22 Das waren die Sippen Judas mit ihren Gemusterten, im Ganzen 76500 Mann.	22 These are the families of Judah according to those that were numbered of them, threescore and sixteen thousand and five hundred.
23 Zu den Issacharitern gehörten folgende Sippen: von Tola die Sippe der Tolaiter, von Puwa die Sippe der Puwaniter,	23 Of the sons of Issachar after their families: of Tola, the family of the Tolaites: of Pua, the family of the Punites:
24 von Jaschub die Sippe der Jaschubiter, von Schimron die Sippe der Schimroniter.	24 Of Jashub, the family of the Jashubites: of Shimron, the family of the Shimronites.
25 Das waren die Sippen Issachars mit ihren Gemusterten, im Ganzen 64300 Mann.	25 These are the families of Issachar according to those that were numbered of them, threescore and four thousand and three hundred.
26 Zu den Sebulonitern gehörten folgende Sippen: von Sered die Sippe der Serediter, von Elon die Sippe der Eloniter, von Jachleel die Sippe der Jachleeliter.	26 Of the sons of Zebulun after their families: of Sered, the family of the Sardites: of Elon, the family of the Elonites: of Jahleel, the family of the Jahleelites.
27 Das waren die Sippen der Sebuloniter mit ihren Gemusterten, im Ganzen 60500 Mann.	27 These are the families of the Zebulunites according to those that were numbered of them, threescore thousand and five hundred.
28 Bei den Josefstämmen Manasse und Efraim gehörten folgende Sippen	28 The sons of Joseph after their families were Manasseh and Ephraim.
29 zu den Manassitern: von Machir die Sippe der Machiriter; Machir zeugte Gilead und von Gilead stammt die Sippe der Gileaditer.	29 Of the sons of Manasseh: of Machir, the family of the Machirites: and Machir begat Gilead: of Gilead come the family of the Gileadites.
30 Das sind die Gileaditer: von Iëser die Sippe der Iëseriter, von Helek die Sippe der Helekiter,	30 These are the sons of Gilead: of Jeezer, the family of the Jeezerites: of Helek, the family of the Helekites:
31 von Asriël die Sippe der Asriëliter, von Schechem die Sippe der Schechemiter,	31 And of Asriel, the family of the Asrielites: and of Shechem, the family of the Shechemites:

33 Zelofhad, der Sohn Hefers, hatte keine Söhne, sondern nur Töchter; die Töchter Zelofhads hießen Machla, Noa, Hogla, Milka und Tirza.	33 And Zelophehad the son of Hepher had no sons, but daughters: and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad were Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.

35 Zu den Efraimitern gehörten folgende Sippen: von Schutelach die Sippe der Schutelachiter, von Becher die Sippe der Becheriter, von Tahan die Sippe der Tahaniter.	35 These are the sons of Ephraim after their families: of Shuthelah, the family of the Shuthalhites: of Becher, the family of the Bachrites: of Tahan, the family of the Tahanites.
36 Zu den Schutelachitern gehört von Eran die Sippe der Eraniter.	36 And these are the sons of Shuthelah: of Eran, the family of the Eranites.
37 Das waren die Sippen der Efraimiter mit ihren Gemusterten, im Ganzen 32500 Mann. Das waren die Josefstämme nach ihren Sippen.	37 These are the families of the sons of Ephraim according to those that were numbered of them, thirty and two thousand and five hundred. These are the sons of Joseph after their families.
38 Zu den Benjaminitern gehörten folgende Sippen: von Bela die Sippe der Belaiter, von Aschbel die Sippe der Aschbeliter, von Ahiram die Sippe der Ahiramiter,	38 The sons of Benjamin after their families: of Bela, the family of the Belaites: of Ashbel, the family of the Ashbelites: of Ahiram, the family of the Ahiramites:
39 von Schufam die Sippe der Schufamiter, von Hufam die Sippe der Hufamiter.	39 Of Shupham, the family of the Shuphamites: of Hupham, the family of the Huphamites.
40 Die Söhne Belas waren Ard und Naaman; von Ard stammt die Sippe der Arditer, von Naaman die Sippe der Naamaniter.	40 And the sons of Bela were Ard and Naaman: of Ard, the family of the Ardites: and of Naaman, the family of the Naamites.
41 Das waren die Benjaminiter nach ihren Sippen; die Zahl der bei ihnen Gemusterten betrug 45600 Mann.	41 These are the sons of Benjamin after their families: and they that were numbered of them were forty and five thousand and six hundred.
42 Zu den Danitern gehörten folgende Sippen: von Schuham die Sippe der Schuhamiter. Das waren die Sippen Dans.	42 These are the sons of Dan after their families: of Shuham, the family of the Shuhamites. These are the families of Dan after their families.
43 Die Zahl der Gemusterten bei den Sippen der Schuhamiter betrug im Ganzen 64400 Mann.	43 All the families of the Shuhamites, according to those that were numbered of them, were threescore and four thousand and four hundred.
44 Zu den Ascheritern gehörten folgende Sippen: von Jimna die Sippe der Jimnaiter, von Jischwi die Sippe der Jischwiter, von Beria die Sippe der Beriaiter.	44 Of the children of Asher after their families: of Jimna, the family of the Jimnites: of Jesui, the family of the Jesuites: of Beriah, the family of the Beriites.
45 Zu den Beriaitern gehörten folgende Sippen: von Heber die Sippe der Heberiter, von Malkiël die Sippe der Malkiëliter.	45 Of the sons of Beriah: of Heber, the family of the Heberites: of Malchiel, the family of the Malchielites.
46 Die Tochter Aschers hieß Serach.	46 And the name of the daughter of Asher was Sarah.
47 Das waren die Sippen der Ascheriter mit ihren Gemusterten, im Ganzen 53400 Mann.	47 These are the families of the sons of Asher according to those that were numbered of them; who were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.
48 Zu den Naftalitern gehörten folgende Sippen: von Jachzeel die Sippe der Jachzeeliter, von Guni die Sippe der Guniter,	48 Of the sons of Naphtali after their families: of Jahzeel, the family of the Jahzeelites: of Guni, the family of the Gunites:
49 von Jezer die Sippe der Jezeriter, von Schillem die Sippe der Schillemiter.	49 Of Jezer, the family of the Jezerites: of Shillem, the family of the Shillemites.
50 Das waren die Sippen Naftalis. Die Zahl der bei ihnen Gemusterten betrug 45400 Mann.	50 These are the families of Naphtali according to their families: and they that were numbered of them were forty and five thousand and four hundred.
51 Die Gesamtzahl der gemusterten Israeliten betrug 601730 Mann.	51 These were the numbered of the children of Israel, six hundred thousand and a thousand seven hundred and thirty.
52 Der Herr sprach zu Mose:	52 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
53 An diese Männer soll das Land als Erbbesitz verteilt werden, entsprechend der Zahl der verzeichneten Namen.	53 Unto these the land shall be divided for an inheritance according to the number of names.
54 Wer mehr Namen zählt, dem sollst du einen größeren Erbbesitz geben; wer weniger zählt, dem sollst du einen kleineren Erbbesitz geben. Jedem soll sein Erbbesitz entsprechend der Zahl der bei ihm Gemusterten gegeben werden.	54 To many thou shalt give the more inheritance, and to few thou shalt give the less inheritance: to every one shall his inheritance be given according to those that were numbered of him.
55 Doch soll das Land durch das Los verteilt werden und sie sollen ihren Erbbesitz nach den Namen der Stämme ihrer Väter erhalten.	55 Notwithstanding the land shall be divided by lot: according to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit.
56 Der Erbbesitz soll durch das Los zwischen den großen und den kleinen Stämmen aufgeteilt werden.	56 According to the lot shall the possession thereof be divided between many and few.
57 Zu den im Stamm Levi Gemusterten gehörten folgende Sippen: von Gerschon die Sippe der Gerschoniter, von Kehat die Sippe der Kehatiter, von Merari die Sippe der Merariter.	57 And these are they that were numbered of the Levites after their families: of Gershon, the family of the Gershonites: of Kohath, the family of the Kohathites: of Merari, the family of the Merarites.
58 Das sind die Sippen Levis: die Sippe der Libniter, die Sippe der Hebroniter, die Sippe der Machliter, die Sippe der Muschiter, die Sippe der Korachiter. Kehat zeugte Amram.	58 These are the families of the Levites: the family of the Libnites, the family of the Hebronites, the family of the Mahlites, the family of the Mushites, the family of the Korathites. And Kohath begat Amram.
59 Die Frau Amrams hieß Jochebed; sie war die Tochter Levis, die dem Levi noch in Ägypten geboren wurde. Sie gebar dem Amram Aaron und Mose sowie deren Schwester Mirjam.	59 And the name of Amram's wife was Jochebed, the daughter of Levi, whom her mother bare to Levi in Egypt: and she bare unto Amram Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister.
60 Dem Aaron wurden Nadab, Abihu, Eleasar und Itamar geboren.	60 And unto Aaron was born Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
61 Nadab und Abihu aber waren gestorben, als sie dem Herrn ein unerlaubtes Feueropfer darbrachten.	61 And Nadab and Abihu died, when they offered strange fire before the LORD.
62 Bei den Leviten wurden im Ganzen 23000 Mann gemustert, alle männlichen Personen im Alter von einem Monat und darüber. Sie wurden aber nicht zusammen mit den Israeliten gemustert; denn ihnen wurde kein Erbbesitz wie den anderen Israeliten gegeben.	62 And those that were numbered of them were twenty and three thousand, all males from a month old and upward: for they were not numbered among the children of Israel, because there was no inheritance given them among the children of Israel.
63 Das waren die von Mose und dem Priester Eleasar gemusterten Israeliten, die sie in den Steppen von Moab am Jordan bei Jericho gemustert hatten.	63 These are they that were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.
64 Unter ihnen war niemand mehr von denen, die Mose und der Priester Aaron in der Wüste Sinai gemustert hatten.	64 But among these there was not a man of them whom Moses and Aaron the priest numbered, when they numbered the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai.
65 Denn über sie hatte der Herr ja gesagt: Sie müssen in der Wüste sterben. Daher war keiner von ihnen am Leben geblieben außer Kaleb, der Sohn Jefunnes, und Josua, der Sohn Nuns.	65 For the LORD had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. And there was not left a man of them, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
