2 Ermittelt die Gesamtzahl der Gemeinde aller Israeliten, die zwanzig Jahre und älter sind, aller wehrfähigen Israeliten, nach Großfamilien geordnet.	2 Number the whole sum of the children of Israel from twenty years old and upward, by their houses and kindreds, all that are able to go forth to war.
3 Da redeten Mose und der Priester Eleasar zu den Israeliten in den Steppen von Moab, am Jordan bei Jericho,	3 Moses therefore and Eleazar the priest, being in the plains of Moab upon the Jordan over against Jericho, spoke to them that were
4 zu allen Männern von zwanzig Jahren und darüber, wie der Herr es Mose befohlen hatte. Das sind die Israeliten, die aus Ägypten ausgezogen waren:	4 From twenty years old and upward, as the Lord had commanded: and this is the number of them:
5 Ruben war der Erstgeborene Israels. Zu den Rubenitern gehörten von Henoch die Sippe der Henochiter, von Pallu die Sippe der Palluiter,	5 Ruben the firstborn of Israel. His sons were Henoch, of whom is the family of the Henochites: and Phallu, of whom is the family of the Phalluites:

7 Das waren die Sippen der Rubeniter. Die Zahl der bei ihnen Gemusterten betrug 43730 Mann.	7 These are the families of the stock of Ruben: whose number was found to be forty-three thousand seven hundred and thirty.

23 Zu den Issacharitern gehörten folgende Sippen: von Tola die Sippe der Tolaiter, von Puwa die Sippe der Puwaniter,	23 The sons of Issachar, by their kindreds: Thola, of whom is the family of the Tholaites: Phua, of whom is the family of the Phuaites:
24 von Jaschub die Sippe der Jaschubiter, von Schimron die Sippe der Schimroniter.	24 Jasub, of whom is the family of the Jasubites: Semran, of whom is the family of the Semranites.
25 Das waren die Sippen Issachars mit ihren Gemusterten, im Ganzen 64300 Mann.	25 These are the kindreds of Issachar, whose number was sixty-four thousand three hundred.
26 Zu den Sebulonitern gehörten folgende Sippen: von Sered die Sippe der Serediter, von Elon die Sippe der Eloniter, von Jachleel die Sippe der Jachleeliter.	26 The sons of Zabulon by their kindreds: Sared, of whom is the family of the Saredites: Elon, of whom is the family of the Elonites: Jalel, of whom is the family of the Jalelites.
27 Das waren die Sippen der Sebuloniter mit ihren Gemusterten, im Ganzen 60500 Mann.	27 These are the kindreds of Zabulon, whose number was sixty thousand five hundred.
28 Bei den Josefstämmen Manasse und Efraim gehörten folgende Sippen	28 The sons of Joseph by their kindred, Manasses and Ephraim.

36 Zu den Schutelachitern gehört von Eran die Sippe der Eraniter.	36 Now the son of Suthala was Heran, of whom is the family of the Heranites.
37 Das waren die Sippen der Efraimiter mit ihren Gemusterten, im Ganzen 32500 Mann. Das waren die Josefstämme nach ihren Sippen.	37 These are the kindreds of the sons of Ephraim: whose number was thirty-two thousand five hundred.
38 Zu den Benjaminitern gehörten folgende Sippen: von Bela die Sippe der Belaiter, von Aschbel die Sippe der Aschbeliter, von Ahiram die Sippe der Ahiramiter,	38 These are the sons of Joseph by their families. The sons of Benjamin in their kindreds: Bela, of whom is the family of the Belaites: Asbel, of whom is the family of the Asbelites: Ahiram, of whom is the family of the Ahiramites:
39 von Schufam die Sippe der Schufamiter, von Hufam die Sippe der Hufamiter.	39 Supham, of whom is the family of the Suphamites: Hupham, of whom is the family of the Huphamites.
40 Die Söhne Belas waren Ard und Naaman; von Ard stammt die Sippe der Arditer, von Naaman die Sippe der Naamaniter.	40 The sons of Bela: Hered, and Noeman. Of Hered, is the family of the Heredites: of Noeman, the family of tile Noemanites.

46 Die Tochter Aschers hieß Serach.	46 And the name of the daughter of Aser, was Sara.
47 Das waren die Sippen der Ascheriter mit ihren Gemusterten, im Ganzen 53400 Mann.	47 These are the kindreds of the sons of Aser, and their number fifty-three thousand four hundred.
48 Zu den Naftalitern gehörten folgende Sippen: von Jachzeel die Sippe der Jachzeeliter, von Guni die Sippe der Guniter,	48 The sons of Nephtali by their kindreds: Jesiel, of whom is the family of the Jesielites: Guni, of whom is the family of the Gunites:
49 von Jezer die Sippe der Jezeriter, von Schillem die Sippe der Schillemiter.	49 Jeser, of whom is the family of the Jeserites: Sellem, of whom is the family of the Sellemites.
50 Das waren die Sippen Naftalis. Die Zahl der bei ihnen Gemusterten betrug 45400 Mann.	50 These are the kindreds of the sons of Nephtali by their families: whose number was forty-five thousand four hundred.
51 Die Gesamtzahl der gemusterten Israeliten betrug 601730 Mann.	51 This is the sum of the children of Israel, that were reckoned up, six hundred and one thousand seven hundred and thirty.
52 Der Herr sprach zu Mose:	52 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
53 An diese Männer soll das Land als Erbbesitz verteilt werden, entsprechend der Zahl der verzeichneten Namen.	53 To these shall the land be divided for their possessions according to the number of names.
54 Wer mehr Namen zählt, dem sollst du einen größeren Erbbesitz geben; wer weniger zählt, dem sollst du einen kleineren Erbbesitz geben. Jedem soll sein Erbbesitz entsprechend der Zahl der bei ihm Gemusterten gegeben werden.	54 To the greater number thou shalt give a greater portion, and to the fewer a less: to every one, as they have now been reckoned up, shall a possession be delivered :
55 Doch soll das Land durch das Los verteilt werden und sie sollen ihren Erbbesitz nach den Namen der Stämme ihrer Väter erhalten.	55 Yet so that by lot the land be divided to the tribe and families.
56 Der Erbbesitz soll durch das Los zwischen den großen und den kleinen Stämmen aufgeteilt werden.	56 Whatsoever shall fall by lot, that shall be taken by the more, or the fewer.
57 Zu den im Stamm Levi Gemusterten gehörten folgende Sippen: von Gerschon die Sippe der Gerschoniter, von Kehat die Sippe der Kehatiter, von Merari die Sippe der Merariter.	57 This also is the number of the sons of Levi by their families: Gerson, of whom is the family of the Gersonites: Caath, of whom is the family of the Caathites: Merari, of whom is the family of the Merarites.
58 Das sind die Sippen Levis: die Sippe der Libniter, die Sippe der Hebroniter, die Sippe der Machliter, die Sippe der Muschiter, die Sippe der Korachiter. Kehat zeugte Amram.	58 These are the families of Levi: The family of Lobni, the family of Hebroni, the family of Moholi, the family of Musi, the family of Core. Now Caath beget Amram :

62 Bei den Leviten wurden im Ganzen 23000 Mann gemustert, alle männlichen Personen im Alter von einem Monat und darüber. Sie wurden aber nicht zusammen mit den Israeliten gemustert; denn ihnen wurde kein Erbbesitz wie den anderen Israeliten gegeben.	62 And all that were numbered, were twenty-three thousand males from one month old and upward: for they were not reckoned up among the children of Israel, neither was a possession given to them with the rest.
63 Das waren die von Mose und dem Priester Eleasar gemusterten Israeliten, die sie in den Steppen von Moab am Jordan bei Jericho gemustert hatten.	63 This is the number of the children of Israel, that were enrolled by Moses and Eleazar the priest, in the plains of Moab upon the Jordan, over against Jericho.
64 Unter ihnen war niemand mehr von denen, die Mose und der Priester Aaron in der Wüste Sinai gemustert hatten.	64 Among whom there was not one of them that were numbered before by Moses and Aaron in the desert of Sinai.
65 Denn über sie hatte der Herr ja gesagt: Sie müssen in der Wüste sterben. Daher war keiner von ihnen am Leben geblieben außer Kaleb, der Sohn Jefunnes, und Josua, der Sohn Nuns.	65 For the Lord had foretold that they should die in the wilderness. And none remained of them, but Caleb the son of Jephone, and Josue the son of Nun.
