Psalms 46

DOUAI-RHEIMS	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 Unto the end, for the sons of Core, for the hidden.	1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
2 Our God is our refuge and strength: a helper in troubles, which have found us exceedingly.	2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3 Therefore we will not fear, when the earth shall be troubled; and the mountains shall be removed into the heart of the sea.	3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
4 Their waters roared and were troubled: the mountains were troubled with his strength.	4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
5 The stream of the river maketh the city of God joyful: the most High hath sanctified his own tabernacle.	5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
6 God is in the midst thereof, it shall not be moved: God will help it in the morning early.	6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
7 Nations were troubled, and kingdoms were bowed down: he uttered his voice, the earth trembled.	7 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
8 The Lord of armies is with us: the God of Jacob is our protector.	8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.
9 Come and behold ye the works of the Lord: what wonders he hath done upon earth,	9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.
10 making wars to cease even to the end of the earth. He shall destroy the bow, and break the weapons: and the shield he shall burn in the fire.	10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
11 Be still and see that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, and I will be exalted in the earth.	11 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
12 The Lord of armies is with us: the God of Jacob is our protector.
