| 2 Eis os nomes dos filhos de Aarão: Nadab, o mais velho, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar. | 2 These are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab the first-born, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar; |
| 3 São estes os nomes dos filhos de Aarão, sacerdotes que receberam a unção e a investidura sacerdotal. | 3 these are the names of the sons of Aaron, the anointed priests, whom he ordained to minister in the priest's office. |
| 4 Nadab e Abiú morreram diante do Senhor, quando levaram à sua presença um fogo estranho no deserto do Sinai. Não tinham filhos. | 6 "Manda vir a tribo de Levi e apresenta-a ao sacerdote Aarão para servi-lo. | 6 "Bring the tribe of Levi near, and set them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister to him. |
| 7 Os levitas se encarregarão de tudo o que foi confiado aos seus cuidados e aos de toda a assembléia, diante da tenda de reunião: e farão assim o serviço do tabernáculo. | 7 They shall perform duties for him and for the whole congregation before the tent of meeting, as they minister at the tabernacle; |
| 8 Cuidarão de todos os utensílios da tenda de reunião e do que foi confiado aos cuidados dos israelitas; e farão assim o serviço do tabernáculo. | 8 they shall have charge of all the furnishings of the tent of meeting, and attend to the duties for the people of Israel as they minister at the tabernacle. |
| 9 Darás os levitas a Aarão e seus filhos. Eles serão escolhidos dentre os filhos de Israel para serem inteiramente dele. | 9 And you shall give the Levites to Aaron and his sons; they are wholly given to him from among the people of Israel. |
| 10 Estabelecerás Aarão e seus filhos para exercerem o ministério sacerdotal. O estrangeiro que se aproximar do santuário será punido de morte." | 10 And you shall appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall attend to their priesthood; but if any one else comes near, he shall be put to death." |

Os levitas serão meus. | 12 "Behold, I have taken the Levites from among the people of Israel instead of every first-born that opens the womb among the people of Israel. The Levites shall be mine, |
| 13 Com efeito, todo primogênito é meu. No dia em que feri todos os primogênitos no Egito, reservei para mim todos os que nascem primeiro em Israel, desde os homens até os animais; são meus. Eu sou o Senhor." | 13 for all the first-born are mine; on the day that I slew all the first-born in the land of Egypt, I consecrated for my own all the first-born in Israel, both of man and of beast; they shall be mine: I am the LORD." |
| 14 O Senhor disse a Moisés no deserto do Sinai: | 14 And the LORD said to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, |
| 15 "Conta os levitas segundo suas casas patriarcais e segundo suas famílias, todos os varões de um mês para cima." | 15 "Number the sons of Levi, by fathers' houses and by families; every male from a month old and upward you shall number." |
| 16 E Moisés fez esse recenseamento conforme o Senhor lhe tinha ordenado. | 16 So Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD, as he was commanded. |
| 17 Eis os nomes dos filhos de Levi: Gérson, Caat e Merari. | 17 And these were the sons of Levi by their names: Gershon and Kohath and Merari. |
| 18 Eis os nomes dos filhos de Gérson, segundo suas famílias: Lebni e Semei. | 18 And these are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families: Libni and Shime-i. |
| 19 Filhos de Caat segundo suas famílias: Amrão, Jesaar, Hebron e Oziel. | 19 And the sons of Kohath by their families: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel. |
| 20 Filhos de Merari, segundo suas famílias: Mooli e Musi. São estas as famílias de Levi, segundo suas casas patriarcais. | 20 And the sons of Merari by their families: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites, by their fathers' houses. |
| 21 De Gérson provêm as famílias de Lebni e de Semei: são as famílias dos gersonitas. | 21 Of Gershon were the family of the Libnites and the family of the Shime-ites; these were the families of the Gershonites. |

| 42 Moisés recenseou todos os primogênitos israelitas segundo a ordem que lhe tinha dado o Senhor. | 42 So Moses numbered all the first-born among the people of Israel, as the LORD commanded him. |
| 43 Todos os primogênitos varões recenseados e contados nominalmente, da idade de um mês para cima, eram 22.273. | 43 And all the first-born males, according to the number of names, from a month old and upward as numbered were twenty-two thousand two hundred and seventy-three. |
| 44 O Senhor disse a Moisés: | 44 And the LORD said to Moses, |
| 45 "Toma os levitas em lugar de todos os primogênitos israelitas, e o gado dos levitas em lugar do deles. Os levitas serão meus. Eu sou o Senhor. | 45 "Take the Levites instead of all the first-born among the people of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites shall be mine: I am the LORD. |
| 46 Como resgate dos 273 primogênitos israelitas que excedem o número dos levitas, | 46 And for the redemption of the two hundred and seventy-three of the first-born of the people of Israel, over and above the number of the male Levites, |
