Proverbs 2

KING JAMES BIBLE	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;	1 Hijo mío, si recibes mis palabras y guardas contigo mis mandamientos,
2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;	2 prestando oído a la sabiduría e inclinando tu corazón al entendimiento;
3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;	3 si llamas a la inteligencia y elevas tu voz hacia el entendimiento,
4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;	4 si la buscas como si fuera plata y la exploras como un tesoro,
5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.	5 entonces comprenderás el temor del Señor y encontrarás la ciencia de Dios.
6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.	6 Porque el Señor da la sabiduría, de su boca proceden la ciencia y la inteligencia.
7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.	7 El reserva su auxilio para los hombres rectos, es un escudo para los que caminan con integridad;
8 He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.	8 él protege los senderos de la equidad y cuida el camino de sus fieles.
9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.	9 Entonces comprenderás la justicia y la equidad, la rectitud y todas las sendas del bien.
10 When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;	10 Porque la sabiduría penetrará en tu corazón y la ciencia será la delicia de tu alma;
11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:	11 la reflexión cuidará de ti y la inteligencia te protegerá,
12 To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;	12 para librarte del mal camino, del hombre que habla con perversidad;
13 Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;	13 de los que abandonan los senderos de la rectitud, para tomar por caminos tenebrosos;
14 Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;	14 de los que gozan haciendo el mal y se regocijan en las perversiones de la maldad;
15 Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:	15 de los que van por caminos tortuosos y por senderos retorcidos.
16 To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;	16 Así te librarás de la mujer ajena, de la extraña que se vale de palabras seductoras,
17 Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.	17 que abandona al amigo de su juventud y olvida la alianza de su Dios.
18 For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.	18 su casa se hunde en la muerte y sus senderos van hacia las Sombras;
19 None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.	19 los que entren en ella no podrán volver atrás ni alcanzarán los senderos de la vida.
20 That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.	20 Así tú irás por el camino de los buenos y seguirás el sendero de los justos,
21 For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.	21 porque los rectos habitarán la tierra y los hombres íntegros permanecerán en ella.
22 But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.	22 Pero los malvados serán extirpados de la tierra y los traidores serán arrancados de ella.
