1 Junto dos rios de Babilônia, ali nos assentámos a chorar, lembrando-nos de Sião.	1 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2 Nos salgueiros daquela terra pendurámos as nossas cítaras.	2 O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever.
3 Ali, os que nos tinham deportado, nos pediam cânticos, e os nossos opressores (nos pediam) alegria: "Cantai-nos algum dos cânticos de Sião!"	3 O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever.
4 Como cantaremos o cântico do Senhor em terra estranha (lhes respondemos).	4 To him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever.
5 Se me esquecer de ti, Jerusalém, ao esquecimento seja entregue a minha direita	5 To him that by wisdom made the heavens: for his mercy endureth for ever.
6 Fique pegada a minha língua às minhas fauces, se eu me não lembrar de ti, se não puder Jerusalém acima de toda a minha alegria!	6 To him that stretched out the earth above the waters: for his mercy endureth for ever.

8 Filha (população) exterminadora de Babilônia, ditoso aquele que te devolver os males que nos fizeste	8 The sun to rule by day: for his mercy endureth for ever:
9 Bem-aventurado o que apanhar às mãos e fizer em pedaços contra uma pedra os teus filhinhos!	9 The moon and stars to rule by night: for his mercy endureth for ever.

	24 And hath redeemed us from our enemies: for his mercy endureth for ever.
	25 Who giveth food to all flesh: for his mercy endureth for ever.
