Ezechielis 25

VULGATA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Et factus est sermo Domini ad me, dicens :	1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,
2 Fili hominis, pone faciem tuam contra filios Ammon, et prophetabis de eis.	2 'Son of man, turn towards the Ammonites and prophesy against them.
3 Et dices filiis Ammon : Audite verbum Domini Dei. Hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Pro eo quod dixisti : Euge, euge, super sanctuarium meum, quia pollutum est ; et super terram Israël, quoniam desolata est ; et super domum Juda, quoniam ducti sunt in captivitatem :	3 Say to the Ammonites, "Hear the word of the Lord Yahweh. The Lord Yahweh says this: "Since yougloated over my sanctuary when it was profaned, and over the land of Israel when it was ravaged, and over theHouse of Judah when it went into exile,
4 idcirco ego tradam te filiis orientalibus in hæreditatem : et collocabunt caulas suas in te, et ponent in te tentoria sua : ipsi comedent fruges tuas, et ipsi bibent lac tuum.	4 I shal let the sons of the East take possession of you; they wil pitch their camps inside you, they wilmake their home in you. They will be the ones to eat your produce and drink your milk.
5 Daboque Rabbath in habitaculum camelorum, et filios Ammon in cubile pecorum : et scietis quia ego Dominus.	5 I shal turn Rabbah into a camel yard and the towns of Ammon into sheepfolds. And so you wil knowthat I am Yahweh.
6 Quia hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Pro eo quod plausisti manu et percussisti pede, et gavisa es ex toto affectu super terram Israël,	6 "The Lord Yahweh says this: Since you have clapped your hands and danced for joy, ful of maliciousdelight at Israel's fate,
7 idcirco ecce ego extendam manum meam super te, et tradam te in direptionem gentium, et interficiam te de populis, et perdam de terris, et conteram : et scies quia ego Dominus.	7 my hand wil be against you for this; I shall hand you over to be looted by the peoples, obliterate youas a nation and wipe you out as a country. I shal reduce you to nothing, and you wil know that I am Yahweh.
8 Hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Pro eo quod dixerunt Moab et Seir : Ecce sicut omnes gentes, domus Juda :	8 "The Lord Yahweh says this: "Since Moab and Seir have said: Look at the House of Judah; it is nodifferent from any other nation;
9 idcirco ecce ego aperiam humerum Moab de civitatibus, de civitatibus, inquam, ejus, et de finibus ejus, inclytas terræ Bethiesimoth, et Beelmeon, et Cariathaim,	9 very wel , I shall expose Moab's heights; its cities will no longer be cities throughout the land -- thejewels of the country, Beth-Jeshimoth, Baal-Meon and Kiriathaim.
10 filiis orientis cum filiis Ammon, et dabo eam in hæreditatem, ut non sit ultra memoria filiorum Ammon in gentibus.	10 I shal let the sons of the East and the Ammonites take possession of them, so that they wil nolonger be remembered by the nations.
11 Et in Moab faciam judicia, et scient quia ego Dominus.	11 I shal bring Moab to justice, and they will know that I am Yahweh.
12 Hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Pro eo quod fecit Idumæa ultionem ut se vindicaret de filiis Juda, peccavitque delinquens, et vindictam expetivit de eis :	12 "The Lord Yahweh says this: "Since Edom has taken revenge on the House of Judah and committedgreat crimes in doing so,
13 idcirco hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Extendam manum meam super Idumæam, et auferam de ea hominem et jumentum, et faciam eam desertam ab austro : et qui sunt in Dedan, gladio cadent.	13 very well, the Lord Yahweh says this: My hand wil be against Edom and denude it of human andanimal. I shal lay it waste, from Teman as far as Dedan they wil be put to the sword.
14 Et dabo ultionem meam super Idumæam per manum populi mei Israël : et facient in Edom juxta iram meam et furorem meum, et scient vindictam meam, dicit Dominus Deus.	14 I shal take vengeance on Edom by means of my people Israel. They wil treat Edom as my angerand fury dictate, and they wil know this is my vengeance -- declares the Lord Yahweh.
15 Hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Pro eo quod fecerunt Palæstini vindictam, et ulti se sunt toto animo, interficientes, et implentes inimicitias veteres,	15 "The Lord Yahweh says this, "Since the Philistines have acted in revenge and, motivated by malice,have taken revenge, doing their best to destroy because of their long-standing hatred,
16 propterea hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Ecce ego extendam manum meam super Palæstinos, et interficiam interfectores, et perdam reliquias maritimæ regionis,	16 very well, the Lord Yahweh says this: My hand wil be against the Philistines; I shal exterminate theCherethites and destroy the rest of the coastal peoples.
17 faciamque in eis ultiones magnas, arguens in furore : et scient quia ego Dominus, cum dedero vindictam meam super eos.	17 I shal perform frightful acts of vengeance and inflict furious punishments on them; and they will knowthat I am Yahweh, when I exact my vengeance on them." '
