Ezechielis 25

VULGATA	NEW AMERICAN BIBLE
1 Et factus est sermo Domini ad me, dicens :	1 Thus the word of the LORD came to me:
2 Fili hominis, pone faciem tuam contra filios Ammon, et prophetabis de eis.	2 Son of man, turn toward the Ammonites and prophesy against them.
3 Et dices filiis Ammon : Audite verbum Domini Dei. Hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Pro eo quod dixisti : Euge, euge, super sanctuarium meum, quia pollutum est ; et super terram Israël, quoniam desolata est ; et super domum Juda, quoniam ducti sunt in captivitatem :	3 Say to the Ammonites: Hear the word of the LORD! Thus says the Lord GOD: Because you cried out your joy over the desecration of my sanctuary, the devastation of the land of Israel, and the exile of the house of Judah,
4 idcirco ego tradam te filiis orientalibus in hæreditatem : et collocabunt caulas suas in te, et ponent in te tentoria sua : ipsi comedent fruges tuas, et ipsi bibent lac tuum.	4 therefore I will deliver you into the possession of the Easterners. They shall set up their encampments among you and pitch their tents; they shall eat your fruits and drink your milk.
5 Daboque Rabbath in habitaculum camelorum, et filios Ammon in cubile pecorum : et scietis quia ego Dominus.	5 I will make Rabbah a pasture for camels, and the villages of the Ammonites a resting place for flocks. Thus you shall know that I am the LORD.
6 Quia hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Pro eo quod plausisti manu et percussisti pede, et gavisa es ex toto affectu super terram Israël,	6 For thus says the Lord GOD: Because you clapped your hands and stamped your feet, rejoicing most maliciously in your heart over the land of Israel,
7 idcirco ecce ego extendam manum meam super te, et tradam te in direptionem gentium, et interficiam te de populis, et perdam de terris, et conteram : et scies quia ego Dominus.	7 therefore I will stretch out my hand against you. I will make you plunder for the nations, I will cut you off from the peoples, and remove you from the lands. I will destroy you, and thus you shall know that I am the LORD.
8 Hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Pro eo quod dixerunt Moab et Seir : Ecce sicut omnes gentes, domus Juda :	8 Thus says the Lord GOD: Because Moab said, "See! the house of Judah is like all other nations,"
9 idcirco ecce ego aperiam humerum Moab de civitatibus, de civitatibus, inquam, ejus, et de finibus ejus, inclytas terræ Bethiesimoth, et Beelmeon, et Cariathaim,	9 therefore I will clear the shoulder of Moab totally of its cities, the jewels of the land: Beth-jesimoth, Baalmeon, and Kiriathaim.
10 filiis orientis cum filiis Ammon, et dabo eam in hæreditatem, ut non sit ultra memoria filiorum Ammon in gentibus.	10 I will hand her over, along with the Ammonites, into the possession of the Easterners, that she may not be remembered among the peoples.
11 Et in Moab faciam judicia, et scient quia ego Dominus.	11 Thus I will execute judgment upon Moab, that they may know that I am the LORD.
12 Hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Pro eo quod fecit Idumæa ultionem ut se vindicaret de filiis Juda, peccavitque delinquens, et vindictam expetivit de eis :	12 Thus says the Lord GOD: Because Edom has taken vengeance on the house of Judah and has made itself grievously guilty by taking vengeance on them,
13 idcirco hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Extendam manum meam super Idumæam, et auferam de ea hominem et jumentum, et faciam eam desertam ab austro : et qui sunt in Dedan, gladio cadent.	13 therefore thus says the Lord GOD: I will stretch out my hand against Edom and cut off from it man and beast. I will make it a waste from Teman to Dedan; they shall fall by the sword.
14 Et dabo ultionem meam super Idumæam per manum populi mei Israël : et facient in Edom juxta iram meam et furorem meum, et scient vindictam meam, dicit Dominus Deus.	14 My vengeance upon Edom I will entrust to my people Israel, who will deal with Edom in accordance with my anger and my fury; thus they shall know my vengeance, says the Lord GOD.
15 Hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Pro eo quod fecerunt Palæstini vindictam, et ulti se sunt toto animo, interficientes, et implentes inimicitias veteres,	15 Thus says the Lord GOD: Because the Philistines have acted revengefully, and have taken vengeance with destructive malice in their hearts, with an undying enmity,
16 propterea hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Ecce ego extendam manum meam super Palæstinos, et interficiam interfectores, et perdam reliquias maritimæ regionis,	16 therefore thus says the Lord GOD: See! I am stretching out my hand against the Philistines; I will cut off the Cherethites and wipe out the remnant on the seacoast.
17 faciamque in eis ultiones magnas, arguens in furore : et scient quia ego Dominus, cum dedero vindictam meam super eos.	17 I will execute great acts of vengeance on them, punishing them furiously. Thus they shall know that I am the LORD, when I wreak my vengeance on them.
