1 Paulo (apostolo) imprigionato di Iesù Cristo, e Timoteo fratello, a Filemone amato nostro aiutatore,	1 Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer,
2 e alla nostra sorore Appia, e al compagno nostro Archippo, e a tutta la compagnia ch' è in casa tua.	2 And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house:
3 Grazia sia a voi e pace da Dio Padre nostro e dal Signore Iesù Cristo.	3 Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
4 Referisco grazie a mio Dio, sempre facendo ricordanza di te nelle mie orazioni,	4 I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,
5 avendo udita la tua carità, e la tua fede la qual tu hai nel Signore Iesù Cristo, e in tutti li santi,	5 Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;
6 acciò che la comunanza della tua fede sia (di quello medesimo Dio) in contezza d'ogni bene, il quale è in voi in Iesù Cristo.	6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
7 Veramente grande gaudio ebbi e grande consolazione per la tua carità; imperò che l'interiora delli santi ebbero posa per te, fratello.	7 For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.
8 Per la qual cosa io abbo grande securità, per Iesù Cristo, di comandare a te quello che sia convenevole di fare.	8 Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient,
9 Adunque, conciosia cosa che sie tale, io Paulo vecchio, e ora imprigionato per Iesù Cristo,	9 Yet for love's sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.
10 pregoti pel mio figliuolo Onesimo, il quale io ingenerai in amore di carità,	10 I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:
11 il quale fu inutile a te alcuna fiata, ma ora è utile a me e a te,	11 Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me:
12 il qual io mando a te; e tu si lo ricevi, come le mie interiora;	12 Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels:
13 (ancora ti prego che tu ricevi il mio figliuolo) il quale io vorrei ch' elli dimori meco, acciò che mi serva (in pregione e) nei legami dell' evangelio.	13 Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:
14 Ma senza la tua volontà non volsi fare alcuna cosa, nè ritenerlo meco, che mi servisse in tuo luogo.	14 But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.
15 E forse per la ventura si partì a tempo da te; chè tu eternalmente avessi [lui],	15 For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever;
16 non solamente come tuo servo, ma come tuo fratello carissimo (poi ch' io l' ho battezzato); chè se io [l' ho] per il mio fratello, molto maggiormente e tu il dèi avere eziandio, secondo Dio e secondo la carne.	16 Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?
17 Se adunque me hai per compagno, ricevilo come me.	17 If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.
18 E se egli ti fece alcuno dispiacere, ovver se egli ti dee dare alcuna cosa, ogni cosa computa a me (e io voglio essere tenuto a te per lui).	18 If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account;
19 Io Paolo scrissi questo colla mia mano; e io renderò queste cose, perchè non dico che te medesimo dea dare a me.	19 I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides.
20 Così, fratello. Io ti voglio lucrare e usare per il Signore (nostro); sazia le mie interiora in Cristo.	20 Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.
21 Avendo confidanza della tua obbedienza (con securità) scrissi a te (questa epistola), sapendo che tu farai di queste cose quello ch' io ne dico.	21 Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.
22 Simigliantemente ti dico che tu apparecchi a me albergo; chè (per certo) abbo speranza, che per le vostre orazioni io sarò dato a voi (e uscito di pregione).	22 But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.
23 Saluta te, in Cristo Iesù, Epafra ch' è mio compagno in pregione,	23 There salute thee Epaphras, my fellowprisoner in Christ Jesus;
24 e Marco e Aristarco e Demas e Luca, li quali son miei aiutatori.	24 Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellowlabourers.
25 La grazia del nostro Signore Iesù Cristo sia col spirito vostro. Amen.	25 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
