Deuteronomio 28

1 Ma se udirai la (mia) voce (e) di Dio tuo Signore, cioè che tu facci e guardi i suoi comandamenti (cioè di Dio tuo Signore), i quali io ti comando oggi (da parte sua), esso sì ti farà (altissimo e) più che grande sopra tutte quante altre genti (e nazioni) le quali istanno (e abitano) teco.	1 “So then, if you will listen to the voice of the Lord your God, so as to keep and do all of his commandments, which I instruct to you this day, the Lord your God will cause you to be more exalted than all the nations which exist upon the earth.
2 E tutte quante queste benedizioni verranno sopra te e saranno teco, conciosia cosa che tu (os servi e) oda i comandamenti di Dio tuo Signore.	2 And all these blessings shall come to you and take hold of you, but only if you listen to his precepts.
3 Benedetto sarai nella città, e benedetto sarai nel campo.	3 Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed in the field.
4 [Benedetto] il frutto del ventre tuo, e il frutto della terra tua, e i frutti degli animali e delle greggie tue, e le mandre delle pecore tue.	4 Blessed shall be the fruit of your loins, and the fruit of your land, and the fruit of your cattle, the droves of your herds, and the folds of your sheep.
5 E benedetti saranno tutti i granai tuoi, e be nedetto tutto quello che ti rimarrà.	5 Blessed shall be your barns, and blessed your storehouses.
6 Benedetto sarai ed entrando e uscendo, (e andando e vegnendo).	6 Blessed shall you be entering and departing.
7 E darà Iddio li inimici tuoi, i quali si levano contro a te, nelle tue mani, e caderanno dinanzi a te; per una via verranno contro a te, e per sette vie fuggiranno dinanzi alla faccia tua.	7 The Lord will grant that your enemies, who rise up against you, will fall down in your sight. They will come against you by one way, and they will flee from your face by seven ways.
8 E manderà Iddio la sua benedizione sopra i cellai tuoi, e sopra tutte l'opre (ed esercizii) delle mani tue; e sì ti benedicerà nella terra la quale tu avrai presa.	8 The Lord will send forth a blessing upon your cellars, and upon all the works of your hands. And he will bless you in the land that you shall receive.
9 E susciteratti (e faratti) uno popolo santo, siccome ti giurò (e promise), se tu (guarderai e) osser verai i comandamenti di Dio tuo Signore, e anderai per le vie sue.	9 The Lord will raise you up as a holy people for himself, just as he swore to you, if you will keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and walk in his ways.
10 Sì vederanno tutti i popoli, e l'altre terre, siccome il nome di Dio tuo Signore sia (venuto e) chiamato sopra di te (cioè la sua benedizione); e avranno paura di te.	10 And all the peoples of the earth shall see that the name of the Lord has been invoked over you, and they shall fear you.
11 E faratti Iddio tuo Signore abbondare i tuoi beni [nel frutto] del ventre tuo, e nelli frutti (delle giumente e) degli animali tuoi, e nel frutto della terra tua, la quale giuroe (e promise di dare) a' padri tuoi, che la ti darebbe.	11 The Lord will cause you be abundant in every good thing: in the fruit of your womb, and in the fruit of your cattle, and in the fruit of your land, which the Lord swore to your fathers that he would give to you.
12 E Iddio si aprirà i suoi tesauri, cioè l'ottimo (e perfetto) cielo, acciò che ti dia (acqua e) piova alla terra tua (nel tempo e) nella stagione sua; e benedi cerà Iddio a tutte le operazioni delle mani tue. E tu presterai a molte altre genti, e tu da niuna generazione piglierai in prestanza.	12 The Lord will open his excellent treasury, the heavens, so that it may distribute rain in due time. And he will bless all the works of your hands. And you shall lend to many nations, but you yourself will borrow nothing from anyone.
13 Iddio ti porrà in capo, e non in coda; e sempre sarai di sopra, e non di sotto; e tutte queste cose ti farà, se tu vorrai obbedire i comandamenti (suoi cioè) di Dio tuo Signore, i quali io ti comando oggi, e guardera'gli e servera'gli,	13 And the Lord will appoint you as the head, and not as the tail. And you shall be always above, and not beneath. But only if you will listen to the commandments of the Lord your God, which I entrust to you this day, and will keep and do them,
14 e non ti partirai da loro, nè dalla mano diritta né dalla manca, e non anderai dietro agli dii dell' altre genti, e non li adorerai.	14 and will not turn aside from them, neither to the right, nor to the left, nor follow strange gods, nor worship them.
15 E se tu non vorrai udire la voce di Dio tuo Signore, cioè di servare e di fare i suoi comandamenti e le osservanze, le quali io ti comando oggi, sì ti verranno, e appiccheransi adosso, tutte queste maledizioni.	15 But if you are not willing to listen to the voice of the Lord your God, so as to keep and do all his commandments and ceremonies, which I instruct to you this day, all these curses shall come to you, and take hold of you.
16 Tu sarai maledetto nella cittade, maledetto nel campo.	16 Cursed shall you be in the city, cursed in the field.
17 Maledetto sarà il grano tuo (cioè nel granaio) e maledette tutte le cose che ti rimarranno.	17 Cursed shall be your barn, and cursed your storehouses.
18 Maledetto sarà il frutto del ventre tuo e il frutto della terra tua, e maledetti gli armenti dei buoi tuoi, e le greggie e le pecore tue.	18 Cursed shall be the fruit of your loins, and the fruit of your land, the herds of your oxen, and the flocks of your sheep.
19 E maledetto sarai ed entrando e uscendo (e andando e vegnendo ogni tuo desiderio).	19 Cursed shall you be entering, and cursed departing.
20 E (poi) Iddio ti manderà fame e pena e do lore in tutte le opere delle tue mani, le quali farai, insino a tanto che ti distrugga e perda (e uccida) per le tue iniquitadi e trovamenti (rei e) pessimi, ne' quali tu m' hai lasciato (e abbandonato).	20 The Lord will send famine and hunger upon you, and a rebuke upon all the works that you do, until he quickly crushes and perishes you, because of your very wicked innovations, by which you have forsaken me.
21 E ancora) Iddio ? aggiunga pestilenza, insino a tanto che egli ti consumi nella terra la quale tu anderai a possedere.	21 May the Lord join a pestilence to you, until he consumes you from the land, which you shall enter so as to possess.
22 (Manditi e battiti e) percuotati Iddio di mi seria (e d'infirmitade) e di febbre, e di freddo e di arsura, di caldo e d'aria corrotta e di ruggine; e sì ti persèguiti, insino a tanto che tu perischi (e venghi meno).	22 May the Lord strike you with destitution, with fever and cold, with burning and heat, and with polluted air and rot, and may he pursue you until you perish.
23 Il cielo, che di sopra ti sta, ti sia come metallo; e la terra, che tu calchi (e sopra la quale tu stai) sia di ferro.	23 May the heavens which are above you be of brass, and may the ground upon which you tread be of iron.
24 E Iddio tuo Signore sì ti dia, in luogo di rugiada, alla tua terra polvere; e di cielo ti discenda cenere, d'insino a tanto (che tu sii cenere, e insino a tanto) che tu sii attrito (e spento sopra la terra).	24 May the Lord give you dust instead of rain upon your land, and may ashes descend from heaven over you, until you have been wiped away.
25 Iddio ti metta e faccia cadere dinanzi a' tuoi nemici; per una via li vadi incontro a loro, e per sette vie fuggendo; e sia isparto per tutti i reami della terra.	25 May the Lord hand you over to fall before your enemies. May you go forth against them by one way, and flee by seven ways, and may you be scattered across all the kingdoms of the earth.
26 Il tuo corpo sia (in cibo e) in esca di tutti quanti gli uccelli del cielo, e delle bestie della terra; e non sia chi le cacci.	26 And may your carcass be food for all the flying things of the air and the wild beasts of the land, and may there be no one to drive them away.
27 Iddio ti percuota e mandi la piaga (e la scabbia e la infermità) d'Egitto; e quella parte del corpo, onde esce la feccia, di rogna e di brusore a te sia, intanto che tu non possi sanarti (in alcuno modo).	27 May the Lord strike you with the ulcer of Egypt, and may he strike the part of your body, through which the dung goes out, with disease as well as itch, so much so that you are unable to be cured.
28 E ancora Iddio ti percuota d'una infirmità, la quale ti faccia uscire il buono della memoria tua, e fuori d'ogni sentimento, e facciati impazzire.	28 May the Lord strike you with frenzy and blindness and a madness of the mind.
29 E poi doventi tu cieco (o sordo e muto), e finalmente vadi (di furia palpando) come suole andare il cieco, palpando di mezzodì nelle tenebre, e dirizzare non possi la tua via (per la quale tu vai); e d'ogni tempo sostenghi tu calunnia (e ingiuria), e sii isforzato per forza, e non trovi chi ti possa li berare.	29 And may you grope at midday, just as a blind man is accustomed to grope in darkness, and may your paths not be straight. And at all times may you suffer slander and be oppressed with violence, and may you have no one who may free you.
30 Ancora menerai moglie, e un altro dorma (e abbia a fare) con lei; ed edifichi tu la casa, e non v'abiti dentro; pianti ancora tu la vigna, e non la possi vendemiare.	30 May you take a wife, though another sleeps with her. May you build a house, but not live within it. May you plant a vineyard, and not gather its vintage.
31 E il tuo bue sia santificato e offerto dinanzi da te, e non possi mangiare del tuo bue. E l'asino tuo ti sia tolto (dinanzi) in tua presenza, e non ti sia renduto (nè possetene tu aiutare). E le pecore tue siano date ai tuoi nemici, e non possi tu trovare chi ti aiuti.	31 May your ox be immolated before you, though you do not eat from it. May your donkey be seized in your sight, and not restored to you. May your sheep be given to your enemies, and may there be no one who may help you.
32 I tuoi figliuoli e le tue figliuole saranno (date e) messe in mano d'un altro popolo, vedendo gli occhi tuoi; e verranno meno (i tuoi figliuoli) guar dandogli tutto dì; e non sia fortezza alcuna nelle tue mani.	32 May your sons and your daughters be handed over to another people, as your eyes watch and languish at the sight of them throughout the day, and may there be no strength in your hand.
33 E il frutto della terra tua e tutte quante le tue fatiche sì le manuchi il popolo il quale tu non conosci; e sia sempre mai che tu sostenghi ingiuria e avversità, e aggravato tutti quanti i tuoi dì.	33 May a people you do not know eat the fruits of your land and of all your labors. And may you continually suffer from slander and oppression every day.
34 E venghi tu meno per la paura di quelle cose le quali vederanno gli occhii tuoi.	34 And may you be stupefied at the terror of the things your eyes will see.
35 Iddio (ti percuota di scabbia e) mandi infir mità pessima nella tua genocchia e nelle congiunture; e mai non possi tu sanare, dalla pianta del piede insino alla cima de' tuoi capelli.	35 May the Lord strike you with a very grievous ulcer in the knees and in the legs, and may you be unable to attain health, from the sole of the foot to the top of the head.
36 Iddio ti menerà, te e il re tuo il quale farai sopra te, tra gente che non conosci nè tu nè i padri tuoi; e quivi servirai agli dii altrui, i quali sono di legno e di pietra.	36 May the Lord lead you and your king, whom you will have appointed over yourself, into a nation which you and your fathers have not known. And there you will serve foreign gods, of wood and of stone.
37 E sarai posto in proverbio e in fabula a tutti i popoli ai quali ti menerà Iddio tuo Signore.	37 And you will become nothing but a proverb and a fable to all the peoples to whom the Lord will lead you.
38 E getterai (e porrai) molta sementa nella terra, e (poi) poco vi raccoglierai; imperciò che i grilli (e le giumente) tutto sommergeranno.	38 You will sow much seed upon the ground, but you will harvest little. For the locusts will devour everything.
39 Tu pianterai la vigna e lavorara'la, e non avrai dell' uva, e vino non raccoglierai; im perciò che sarà guastata da' vermini.	39 You will dig and plant a vineyard, but you will not drink the wine, nor gather anything at all from it. For it will be devastated by worms.
40 Tu averai ulivi in tutti quanti i tuoi confini, e non ti potrai ungere con (un poco d ') olio; imperciò che caderanno e verranno meno.	40 You will have olive trees in all your borders, but you will not be anointed with the oil. For the olives will fall off and perish.
41 E (farai e) genererai figliuoli e figliuole, e non li potrai vedere; imperciò che saranno menati (pregioni e) schiavi.	41 You will conceive sons and daughters, and you will not enjoy them. For they will be led into captivity.
42 Tutti gli arbori tuoi e tutte le biade consumeranno i vermini.	42 Rot will consume all the trees, as well as the fruits of your land.
43 Il forestiere, il quale istà (e usa) teco nella tua terra, sarà sopra di te, e sarà maggiore di te; e tu (che sei maggiore) anderai giuso e (basso;) sarai minore (e più basso di lui).	43 The new arrival who lives with you in the land will ascend over you, and be higher. But you will descend, and be lower.
44 Egli sì presterà a te, e tu non presterai a lui. Egli sarà in capo, e tu sarai in coda.	44 He will lend to you, and you will not lend to him. He will be as the head, and you will be as the tail.
45 E verranno sopra te tutte queste maledizioni, e perseguitandoti sì ti verranno adosso, d'insino a tanto che tu venghi meno; imperciò che non hae udito la voce di Dio tuo Signore, e non servasti i suoi comandamenti e le sue, osservanze, le quali egli ti comandò.	45 And all these curses shall come to you, and shall pursue you, and shall take hold of you, until you pass away, because you would not listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and you would not serve his commandments and ceremonies, which he has instructed to you.
46 E saranno (e verranno in te e) sopra te segni e maraviglie, e nel seme tuo (e nelli tuoi figliuoli) sempremai.	46 And there will be the signs and portents with you, and with your offspring, forever.
47 (Avrai maraviglie e segni) perchè tu non servisti a Dio tuo Signore, con letizia del tuo cuore e con allegrezza, e per tutta l'abbondanza d'ogni tua cosa.	47 Because you did not serve the Lord your God, with gladness and a joyful heart, over the abundance of all things.
48 Tu servirai il tuo nemico con fame e con sete; il quale nemico, Iddio tuo Signore ti manderà adosso ignudo, con povertà d'ogni cosa; e porratti il giogo del ferro sopra il collo tuo, d'insino a tanto ch' egli ti consumi.	48 You will serve your enemy, whom the Lord will send to you, in hunger and thirst and nakedness, and in destitution of all things. And he will place an iron yoke upon your neck, until he has crushed you.
49 Iddio si ti manderà adosso gente da lungi, e dall'ultime parti della terra, in similitudine d'a quile, le quali volano per impeto, la cui lingua non potrai intendere,	49 The Lord will lead over you a nation from far away, even from the furthest parts of the earth, like an eagle flying with great force, whose language you are not able to understand:
50 e gente ardita e crudelissima, la quale (non si riposi di fare crudeltà e) non abbia misericordia nè di piccolo nè di grandi;	50 a very insolent nation, which will show no deference to elders, nor take pity on little ones.
51 e che divori tutto il frutto del tuo bestiame, e tutta la biada della terra tua, d'insino che (caggi a terra e) venghi meno; la quale non ti lasci ne grano nè vino nè olio nè armenti di buoi nè greg gie di pecore; d'insino a tanto che ti cacci,	51 And he will devour the fruit of your cattle, and the fruits of your land, until you have passed away, without leaving behind you wheat, or wine, or oil, or herds of oxen, or flocks of sheep: until he utterly destroys you.
52 e che ti spenghi di tutte quante le tue cittadi, e distruggansi tutti i muri tuoi alti e forti, nei quali tu avevi (speranza e) sicurtà, in tutta la terra tua. E tu sarai assediato in tutta la terra tua, insino alle porte (della città tua), la quale Iddio tuo Signore ti darà.	52 And he will crush you in all your cities. And your strong and lofty walls, in which you trusted, will be destroyed throughout all your land. You will be besieged within your gates throughout all your land, which the Lord your God will give to you.
53 E mangerai del frutto del ventre tuo, cioè i tuoi figliuoli e le tue figliuole, le quali Iddio tuo Signore sì ti darà, in angoscia e in guastamento nel quale ti premerà il tuo nemico.	53 And you will eat the fruit of your womb, and the flesh of your sons and of your daughters, which the Lord your God will give to you, due to the anguish and devastation with which your enemy will oppress you.
54 E l'uomo, che sarà tra voi delicato (e car nale) e lussurioso molto, porterà invidia al suo fratello, e a moglie che dorme nel seno suo.	54 The man who is pampered and very self-indulgent among you will vie with his own brother, and with the wife who lies at his bosom,
55 E non darà loro delle carni de' suoi figliuoli, le quali mangerà; imperò che non avrai altro quando sarai assediato, per la (fame e) miseria nella quale t'avranno (deserto e) guasto tutti i tuoi nemici, dentro da tutte le porte tue.	55 lest he give to them from the flesh of his sons, which he will eat. For he has nothing else due to the siege and the destitution, with which your enemies will devastate you within all your gates.
56 La femina tenera e delicata, la quale non toccava coi piedi terra, e non potea andare per terra per la troppo delicatezza e tenerezza, sì avrà invidia al suo marito, il quale dorme in su il suo letto, quando egli mangerà le carni de' suoi figliuoli e delle sue figliuole,	56 The tender and pampered woman, who would not walk upon the soil, nor step firmly with her foot due to her very great softness and tenderness, will vie with her husband, who lies at her bosom, over the flesh of son and of daughter,
57 le quali nasconderanno nelle pellicole, dove nascono i fanciulli, per aver che mangiare, e sopra li figliuoli li quali sono nati in quell' ora; egli si le manicheranno nascosamente, per la carestia che sarà di tutte l'altre cose, e per lo assedio e guasto, nel quale ti premerà e istringerà il tuo nemico dentro delle porte tue.	57 and over the filth of the afterbirth, which goes forth from between her thighs, and over the children who are born in the same hour. For they will eat them secretly, due to the scarcity of all things during the siege and the devastation, with which your enemy will oppress you within your gates.
58 E queste cose ti verranno, se tu non guar derai e non osserverai tutte le parole (e i comandamenti) di questa (santa) legge, i quali sono scritti in questo volume, e non temerai il nome glorioso e terribile, cioè di Dio tuo Signore.	58 If you will not keep and do all the words of this law, which have been written in this volume, and fear his glorious and terrible name, that is, the Lord your God,
59 E Iddio tuo Signore farà crescere (e multi plicare) le piaghe tue e del tuo seme (cioè de' tuoi figliuoli), piaghe grandi e infirmitadi pessime, le qnali persevereranno e saranno [per li] colpevoli.	59 then the Lord will increase your plagues, and the plagues of your offspring, plagues great and long-lasting, infirmities very grievous and continuous.
60 E farà venire sopra [te] tutte le afflizioni d'Egitto, delle quali avesti paura; e si ti (accoste ranno e) appiccheranno adosso.	60 And he will turn back upon you all the afflictions of Egypt, which you fear, and these will cling to you.
61 E sopra questo, tutte le infirmitadi e le piaghe, le quali non sono scritte in questo volume di questa legge, tutte quante le ti manderà Iddio (e manderalleti adosso e sopra) d'insino che t'attriti (e uccida).	61 In addition, the Lord will lead over you all the diseases and plagues that are not written in the volume of this law, until he crushes you.
62 E rimarrete pochi di numero, i quali era vate in prima come le stelle del cielo per la (grande) moltitudine; e questo avrai, imperciò che tu non udisti la voce di Dio tuo Signore.	62 And you will remain few in number, though you were before like the stars of heaven in multitude, because you would not listen to the voice of the Lord your God.
63 E come inanzi Dio sarà rallegrato sopra voi, facendovi bene e multiplicandovi, così si alle grerà e ispegnendovi (e uccidendovi) e cacciandovi acciò che siate tratti della terra la quale tu entrerai a possedere.	63 And just as before, when the Lord rejoiced over you, doing good for you and multiplying you, so shall he rejoice, scattering and overturning you, so as to take you away from the land, which you shall enter in order to possess.
64 Iddio ti spargerà tra tutti quanti i popoli, dal principio [della terra] insino a' termini (e a' con fini) suoi; e quivi si servirai agl' idoli altrui, (li quali sono reputati idii), i quali nè tu 'nè i tuoi padri co noscete e sapete, cioè a legni e à pietre.	64 The Lord will disperse you among all the peoples, from the heights of the earth to its furthest limits. And there you will serve foreign gods of wood and of stone, which you and your fathers did not know.
65 E tra quelle genti tu non ti riposerai punto, e non avrai riposo; (la paura del padre tuo) ti darà Iddio (; e) daratti uno cuore pauroso, e vegnendo meno i tuoi occhii, e consumata l'anima tua per lo (pianto e) dolore.	65 Similarly, you will not have tranquility, even within those nations, nor will there be any rest for the steps of your feet. For the Lord will give to you in that place a fearful heart, and failing eyes, and a life consumed with grieving.
66 E sarà la tua vita quasi (come in su le bi lance) pendendo dinanzi da te. Di dì e di notte avrai paura; e non avrai (fede nè) credenza nella vita tua.	66 And your life will be as if it were hanging before you. You will be afraid night and day, and you will not have confidence in your own life.
67 E dirai la mattina: chi mi dà (e faccia) ch' io sia nel vespro? e al vespro: chi mi darà (e farà) ch' io sia la mattina? E questo avrai per la paura del e cuore tuo, del quale avrai paura,ancora per quelle cose che tu vederai con li tuoi occhii.	67 In the morning you will say, ‘Who will grant evening to me?’ and at evening, ‘Who will grant morning to me?’ because of the dread of your heart, with which you will be terrified, and because of those things that you will see with your eyes.
68 E Iddio tuo Signore ti rimenerà in Egitto. (co' legni e) con le navi, per la via ch' egli ti disse, acciò che tu non la vedessi più. Quivi tu sarai vendnto, per suo schiavo e schiava, a' tuoi nemici; e non sarà chi ti ricompri.	68 The Lord will lead you back into Egypt with a fleet of ships, along the way, about which he said to you that you would not see it again. In that place, you will be put up for sale as men and women servants to your enemies, but there will be no one willing to buy you.”
