Michea 5

1 Allora tu sarai guastata, tu figliuola di ladrone; loro hanno posto l'assedio sopra noi, e percoteranno colla verga la mascella del giudice di Israel.	1 Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek.
2 E tu, Betleem, che se' come Efrata, e piccola nelle migliaia di Giuda; di te mi uscirà colui che fia Signore in Israel, e lo suo uscimento si è dal principio, nelli dì della eternitade.	2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
3 E però (Iddio) li darà infino ad uno tempo nello quale la parturiente partorirà; e lo rimanente delli suoi fratelli si convertiranno a' figliuoli d' Israel.	3 Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel.
4 E starà, e pascerà nella fortezza del Signore suo, e nella altezza del nome del suo Iddio; e convertirannosi (e percoterà), e sarà magnificato insino a' termini della terra.	4 And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.
5 E questo sarà pace, quando quelli di Siria. verranno nella nostra terra, e quando averà calcate le nostre case, e susciteremo sopra lui VII pastori e VIII uomini principali.	5 And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.
6 E pasceranno la terra d' Assur nel coltello, e la terra di Nembrot nelle loro lance; e libererà da Assur, quando sarà venuto nella terra nostra, e quando averà fatto guasto nelli nostri confini.	6 And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.
7 E lo rimanente di Iacob sarà nel mezzo di molti popoli, quasi come rugiada che venga dallo Signore Iddio, e come gocciole sopra l' erba, la quale non aspetta uomo, e non aspetterà li figliuoli delli uomini.	7 And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.
8 E le reliquie di Iacob saranno nelle genti nel mezzo di molti popoli, come sta lo leone tra le bestie delle selve, e come lo leoncello figliuolo dello leone (quando rugge) nel mezzo della gregge e delle pecore; il quale quando averà passato, (e averà ispacciato), e averà presa la preda, non sarà chi li liberi.	8 And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.
9 E la tua mano sarà esaltata sopra li tuoi nimici, e li inimici tuoi periranno.	9 Thine hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries, and all thine enemies shall be cut off.
10 E in quello dì, dice lo Signore, io torrò via li tuoi cavalli del mezzo di te, e dispergerò li tuoi carri.	10 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots:
11 E arderò le cittadi della tua terra, e disfarò tutte le tue armadure, e disfarò li maleficii della tua mano, e le (tue) indovinazioni non saranno in te.	11 And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and throw down all thy strong holds:
12 E farò perire le tue idolatrie, e spezzerò le tue statue del mezzo di te; e non adorerai più l' opere delle mani tue.	12 And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers:
13 E caverò li boschi tuoi del mezzo di te; e romperò le tue cittadi.	13 Thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands.
14 E farò con furore e con indignazione la mia vendetta tra tutte le genti, le quali non udirono (le mie parole).	14 And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee: so will I destroy thy cities.
	15 And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard.
