Ezechiele 25

BIBBIA VOLGARE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 E fu fatta la parola di Dio a me, dicendo:	1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,
2 O figliuolo d' uomo, poni la tua faccia contro a' figliuoli d' Ammon, e profeteggerai di loro.	2 'Son of man, turn towards the Ammonites and prophesy against them.
3 E dirai alli figliuoli di Ammon: udite la parola del Signore Iddio: questo dice lo Signore Iddio però che dicesti: rallegriamoci, rallegriamoci sopra lo mio santuario, però ch' è corrotto, e sopra la terra d'Israel, però che è desolata, e sopra la casa di Giuda, però che sono menati in prigione;	3 Say to the Ammonites, "Hear the word of the Lord Yahweh. The Lord Yahweh says this: "Since yougloated over my sanctuary when it was profaned, and over the land of Israel when it was ravaged, and over theHouse of Judah when it went into exile,
4 però ecco, io ti darò alli figliuoli delle parti d'oriente per eredità, e collocheranno le loro mansioni in te, e porranno in te le loro tende; egli mangeranno le tue biade, e beranno lo tuo latte.	4 I shal let the sons of the East take possession of you; they wil pitch their camps inside you, they wilmake their home in you. They will be the ones to eat your produce and drink your milk.
5 E darò Rabbat (cioè una terra); la farò abitazione di cammelli; li figliuoli d' Ammon farò letto delle pecore; e saprete ch' io sono lo Signore Iddio.	5 I shal turn Rabbah into a camel yard and the towns of Ammon into sheepfolds. And so you wil knowthat I am Yahweh.
6 Però [che] questo dice lo Signore: però che chiudesti la mano, e percotesti col piede, e se'ti rallegrata di tutto lo desiderio sopra la terra d' Israel;	6 "The Lord Yahweh says this: Since you have clapped your hands and danced for joy, ful of maliciousdelight at Israel's fate,
7 però ecco, distenderò la mia mano sopra di te, e darotti in vastamento delle genti, e ucciderò te de' popoli, e ucciderò le genti delle terre, e fracasserolle; e saprete ch' io sono lo Signore Iddio.	7 my hand wil be against you for this; I shall hand you over to be looted by the peoples, obliterate youas a nation and wipe you out as a country. I shal reduce you to nothing, and you wil know that I am Yahweh.
8 Questo dice lo Signore Iddio: però che Moab e Seir hanno detto: la casa di Giuda, ecco ch' è come tutte le genti;	8 "The Lord Yahweh says this: "Since Moab and Seir have said: Look at the House of Judah; it is nodifferent from any other nation;
9 però ecco, io aprirò l' omero di Moab delle città, io dico delle cittadi sue, e de' suoi confini le belle terre e alte, cioè Betiesimot e Beelmeon e Cariataim,	9 very wel , I shall expose Moab's heights; its cities will no longer be cities throughout the land -- thejewels of the country, Beth-Jeshimoth, Baal-Meon and Kiriathaim.
10 alli figliuoli d'Oriente colli figliuoli d' Ammon; e darolla per ereditade, acciò che non sia memoria de' figliuoli d' Ammon tra le genti.	10 I shal let the sons of the East and the Ammonites take possession of them, so that they wil nolonger be remembered by the nations.
11 E farò giudicii in Moab; e sapranno ch' io sono Iddio.	11 I shal bring Moab to justice, and they will know that I am Yahweh.
12 Questo dice lo Signore Iddio: però che Idumea fece vendetta acciò che si vendicasse de' figliuoli di Giuda, ed ella peccò lasciando lo mio precetto, e chiese (da sè) vendetta di loro;	12 "The Lord Yahweh says this: "Since Edom has taken revenge on the House of Judah and committedgreat crimes in doing so,
13 però questo dice lo Signore Iddio: io distenderò la mia mano sopra Idumea, e torrò di lei li uomini e li giumenti, e farolla deserta dalla parte d'austro; e quelli che sono in Dedan, cadranno di coltello.	13 very well, the Lord Yahweh says this: My hand wil be against Edom and denude it of human andanimal. I shal lay it waste, from Teman as far as Dedan they wil be put to the sword.
14 E farò la mia vendetta sopra Idumea per la mano del mio popolo Israel; e faranno in Edom (cioè in quella contrada) secondo l' ira mia e secondo lo mio furore; e sapranno la mia vendetta, dice lo Signore Iddio.	14 I shal take vengeance on Edom by means of my people Israel. They wil treat Edom as my angerand fury dictate, and they wil know this is my vengeance -- declares the Lord Yahweh.
15 Questo dice lo Signore Iddio; però che i Palestini vendetta feciono, e sonsi vendicati con tutto l'animo, uccidendo e mandando a effetto le vecchie (e le antiche) inimistadi;	15 "The Lord Yahweh says this, "Since the Philistines have acted in revenge and, motivated by malice,have taken revenge, doing their best to destroy because of their long-standing hatred,
16 però questo dice lo Signore Iddio: ecco io distenderò la mia mano sopra quelli di Palestina, e ucciderò li interfettori, e li rimanenti delle marittime regioni.	16 very well, the Lord Yahweh says this: My hand wil be against the Philistines; I shal exterminate theCherethites and destroy the rest of the coastal peoples.
17 E farò in loro grandi vendette, riprendendoli nel furore; e sapranno ch' io sono Iddio, quando io averò data la mia vendetta sopra loro.	17 I shal perform frightful acts of vengeance and inflict furious punishments on them; and they will knowthat I am Yahweh, when I exact my vengeance on them." '
