Levitico 4

BIBBIA VOLGARE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Parlò Iddio a Moisè, e dissegli:	1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:
2 Parla ai figliuoli d'Israel, e dì a loro, che l'anima che per ignoranza peccherà, e di tutti i comandamenti, che Iddio comandò che non si facesse, alcuno avrà disobbedito;	2 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "If anyone sins inadvertently against any of Yahweh's commandmentsand does anything prohibited by them,
3 Se lo sacerdote, il quale è unto, avrà peccato, e per lo suo peccato peccherà lo popolo, offerrà per lo suo peccato lo vitello senza macula al Signore.	3 if the one who sins is the anointed priest, thus making the people guilty, then for the sin which he hascommitted he must offer Yahweh a young bul , an unblemished animal from the herd, as a sacrifice for sin.
4 E porterallo dinanzi al tabernacolo della testimonianza in presenza di Dio; e porrà la mano sopra il capo dello vitello, e offerirallo a Dio.	4 He wil bring the bul before Yahweh at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, wil lay his hand on its headand slaughter it before Yahweh.
5 E torrà del sangue del vitello, e porterallo nel tabernacolo della testimonianza.	5 The anointed priest wil then take some of the bul 's blood and carry it into the Tent of Meeting.
6 E intinto lo dito nel sangue, aspargalo lo sacerdote sette volte, in presenza di Dio, contro a lo velo del santuario.	6 He wil then dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle it seven times in front of the sanctuary curtain, beforeYahweh.
7 E ponga del sangue sopra li corni dell' altare del timiama, che sarà accetto a Dio, il quale è nel tabernacolo della testimonianza. Tutto l'altro sangue getterà a' piedi dell' altare dello sacrificio. che sta dinanzi al tabernacolo.	7 The priest will then put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of incense smoking before Yahweh inthe Tent of Meeting, and wil pour al the rest of the bul 's blood at the foot of the altar of burnt offerings at theentrance to the Tent of Meeting.
8 E tutto lo grasso offerralo per lo peccato, così quello che cuopre le interiora, come tutto quello che è dentro;	8 "Of the bul offered as a sacrifice for sin, he wil set aside all the fat: the fat covering the entrails, al the fat on the entrails,
9 i due renuncoli e lo grasso che li cuopre, cioè quello che ista presso alla punta della schiena, e lo grasso che è del fegato, e quello delle reni.	9 both kidneys, the fat on them and on the loins, the mass of fat which he wil remove from the liver andkidneys-
10 E torrà, come si tolleva del vitello del sacrificio de' pacifici; e arderà sopra l'altare del sacrificio (per sacrificio a Dio).	10 exactly as was done with the portion set aside in the communion sacrifice -- and the priest will burnthese pieces on the altar of burnt offerings.
11 La pelle, e tutta la carne con lo capo e li piedi, e le interiora colle feci,	11 "The bul 's skin and al its meat, its head, its shins, its entrails and its offal,
12 e tutto il corpo, porteranno di fuori dello abitato in luogo netto, dove la cenere si suole porre; e porrannole sopra la catasta delle legne, e in questo luogo dove si getta la cenere l'arderanno.	12 the whole bul he wil then have carried out of the camp to a clean place, the place where the fattyashes are thrown, and wil burn it on a wood fire; it must be burnt where the ashes are thrown.
13 E se tutta la gente de' figliuoli d'Israel per ignoranza e contro il comandamento di Dio fallasse,	13 "If the whole community of Israel has sinned inadvertently and, without being aware of it has incurredguilt by doing something forbidden by Yahweh's commandments,
14 e poi riconoscerà i suoi peccati, offerirà lo vitello per lo peccato; e porrallo all'uscio del tabernacolo.	14 once the sin of which it is guilty has been discovered, the community must offer a young bul , anunblemished animal from the herd, as a sacrifice for sin, and bring it in front of the Tent of Meeting.
15 E gli antichi del popolo porranno la mano sopra questo vitello nello capo in presenza di Dio. Offerto lo vitello nel cospetto di Dio,	15 The elders of the community wil then lay their hands on the bul 's head before Yahweh, and the bulwil be slaughtered before Yahweh.
16 lo sacerdote, il quale è unto, introdurrà dello suo sangue nel tabernacolo della testimonianza.	16 "The anointed priest wil then take some of the bul 's blood into the Tent of Meeting.
17 E tinto lo dito, spargerà sette volte contro al velo.	17 He will then dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle it seven times in front of the curtain, beforeYahweh.
18 E porrà di quello sangue alli corni dell' altare, che è nel tabernacolo della testimonianza, nel cospetto di Dio; e tutto l'altro sangue versi a' piedi dell' altare degli olocausti, il quale è all'uscio del tabernacolo della testimonianza.	18 He will then put some of the blood on the horns of the altar standing before Yahweh inside the Tent ofMeeting, and then pour al the rest of the blood at the foot of the altar of burnt offerings at the entrance to theTent of Meeting.
19 E tutta la grassa porrà sopra l'altare, e faranne sacrificio a Dio.	19 "He wil then set aside al the fat from the animal and burn it on the altar.
20 E così faranne di questo vitello, come del primo; e pregando per loro il sacerdote, Iddio lo esaudirà.	20 He will then deal with the bul as he did with the bul in the sacrifice for sin. It wil be dealt with in thesame way; and once the priest has performed the rite of expiation for the people, they will be forgiven.
21 E questo vitello porteranno di fuori dello abitato, e arderanno come lo primo ritello; perciò ch' è per lo peccato della moltitudine.	21 "He wil then have the bul carried out of the camp and wil burn it as he burned the first one. This is thesacrifice for the sin of the community.
22 Se lo principe peccherà una volta o più per ignoranza contro a quello che dice la legge di Dio,	22 "When a leader has sinned and inadvertently incurred guilt by doing something forbidden by thecommandments of Yahweh his God
23 ed egli conoscerà il suo peccato, offerirà sacrificio a Dio lo becco delle capre senza macula.	23 (or if the sin which he has committed is drawn to his attention), he must bring a he-goat as his offering,an unblemished male.
24 E ponga la mano sua sopra lo suo capo; e quando lui lo avrà offerto in quello luogo dove suole offerire lo sacrificio a Dio, che è per peccato,	24 He will then lay his hand on the goat's head and slaughter it on the spot where the burnt offerings areslaughtered before Yahweh. This is a sacrifice for sin;
25 lo prete intingerà lo dito nel sangue suo per lo peccato, e toccherà li corni dell' altare; e tutto l'altro verserà al piede dell' altare.	25 the priest wil take some of the victim's blood on his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burntofferings. He will then pour the rest of its blood at the foot of the altar of burnt offerings
26 E lo grasso suo arderà sopra, come facea della oblazione ch' era senza peccato; e prega per lui e per lo suo peccato, e Iddio gliel perdonerà.	26 and burn al the fat on the altar, as with the fat in the communion sacrifice. This is how the priest mustperform the rite of expiation for him to free him from his sin, and he wil be forgiven.
27 Ma se l'anima peccherà per ignoranza, dello popolo della terra, facendo alcuna cosa di quelle che nella legge sono proibite,	27 "If one of the country people sins inadvertently and incurs guilt by doing something forbidden byYahweh's commandments
28 ed egli conosca lo suo peccato, offerirà la capra senza macula.	28 (or if the sin which he has committed is drawn to his attention), he must bring a she-goat as his offeringfor the sin which he has committed, an unblemished female.
29 E porrà le sue mani sopra lo capo della capra, la quale è per lo peccato; e offeriralla nel luogo del sacrificio.	29 He will then lay his hand on the victim's head and slaughter it on the spot where the burnt offerings areslaughtered.
30 E il prete torrà il suo sangue collo dito, e porranne sopra li corni dell' altare; e tutto l'altro verserae a' piè dell' altare.	30 The priest wil take some of its blood on his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offerings.He will then pour all the rest of the blood at the foot of the altar.
31 E tutto lo grasso trarrà fuori, come si suole trarre nelli sacrificii che far si suole senza avere peccato; e sì lo porrà sopra l'altare, e arderallo; e sarà a Dio odore soavissimo; e pregherà per lui, e saralli perdonato.	31 He will then remove al the fat, as the fat was removed for the communion sacrifice, and the priest wilburn it on the altar as a smell pleasing to Yahweh. This is how the priest must perform the rite of expiation forhim, and he wil be forgiven.
32 E se delle pecore offerirà a Dio sacrificio per lo suo peccato, faccia che sia pecora senza macula.	32 "If he wishes to bring a lamb as an offering for this kind of sacrifice, he must bring an unblemishedfemale.
33 E poralli la mano sua in capo; e offeri rannola in quello luogo dove si sogliono uccidere le oblazioni di sacrificii a Dio.	33 He will then lay his hand on the victim's head and slaughter it as a sacrifice for sin on the spot wherethe burnt offerings are slaughtered.
34 Lo prete torrà del sangue col dito suo, e porranne sopra li corni dell' altare del sacrificio; e l'altro verserà al piede dell' altare.	34 The priest wil take some of the victim's blood on his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burntofferings. He will then pour al the rest of the blood at the foot of the altar.
35 E tutto lo grasso trarrà fuori, come trar si suole lo grasso del montone nelli sacrifici che far si suole senza aver peccato; arderallo sopra l'altare per incenso a Dio; pregherà per lui e per li suoi peccati, e Iddio gli perdonerà (ed esaudirallo).	35 He will then remove al the fat, as was done for the sheep in the communion sacrifice, and the priestwil burn it as food burnt for Yahweh. This is how the priest must perform for him the rite of expiation for the sinwhich he has committed, and he wil be forgiven." '
