Levitico 1

BIBBIA TINTORI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Il Signore, chiamato Mosè, gli parlò dal Tabernacolo della testimonianza, dicendogli:	1 Yahweh summoned Moses and, speaking to him from the Tent of Meeting, said,
2 « Parla ai figli d'Israele, e di' loro: Quando uno di voi vorrà offrire al Signore un sacrifizio di bestiame, cioè di buoi e di pecore;	2 'Speak to the Israelites; say to them, "When any of you brings an offering to Yahweh, he can offer ananimal either from the herd or from the flock.
3 se la sua offerta è un olocausto preso dalla mandra, offrirà un maschio senza macchia alla porta del Tabernacolo della testimonianza, per rendersi propizio il Signore.	3 "If his offering is to be a burnt offering from the herd, he must offer an unblemished male; he wil offer itat the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, to make it acceptable to Yahweh.
4 E porrà la mano sul capo della vittima, che sarà cosi si gradita e gioverà alla sua espiazione. ».	4 He must lay his hand on the victim's head, and it will be accepted as effectual for his expiation.
5 Poi immolerà il vitello dinanzi al Signore, e i sacerdoti, figlioli di Aronne, ne offriranno il sangue, versandolo intorno all'altare che è davanti alla porta del Tabernacolo;	5 He wil then slaughter the bul before Yahweh, and the priests descended from Aaron wil offer theblood. They wil pour it all around the altar which stands at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
6 e tratta la pelle alla vittima, ne taglieranno in pezzi le membra;	6 He wil then skin the victim and quarter it.
7 poi metteranno il fuoco sopra l'altare, dopo avere accomodate le legna,	7 The priests descended from Aaron will put a fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire.
8 sopra le quali porranno con ordine le membra spezzate, cioè: il capo con tutte le parti annesse al fegato,	8 The priests descended from Aaron will then arrange the quarters, the head and the fat on the wood onthe fire on the altar.
9 gl'intestini e i piedi lavati nell'acqua; e il sacerdote farà bruciare queste cose sopra l'altare in olocausto di soave odore al Signore.	9 He wil wash the entrails and shins in water, and the priest wil burn it all on the altar as a burnt offering,food burnt as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.
10 Se poi l'offerta di bestiame è un olocausto di pecore o di capre, offrirà un maschio senza macchia,	10 "If his offering is to be of an animal from the flock, of a lamb or a goat to be offered as a burnt offering,he must offer an unblemished male.
11 lo immolerà dal lato settentrionale dell'altare davanti al Signore; e i figli d'Aronne ne getteranno il sangue contro l'altare, tutt'all'intorno.	11 He will slaughter it on the north side of the altar, before Yahweh, and the priests descended fromAaron will pour the blood al around the altar.
12 E' fatte in in pezzi le membra, il capo e le parti annesse al fegato, le disporranno sopra le legna sotto le quali deve mettersi il fuoco.	12 He will then quarter it, and the priest wil arrange the quarters, the head and the fat on the wood on thefire on the altar.
13 Gl'intestini e i piedi saran lavati nell'acqua. E il sacerdote farà bruciare tutte queste cose offerte sopra l'altare in olocausto d'odore soavissimo al Signore.	13 He will wash the entrails and shins in water, and the priest wil burn it al on the altar as a burnt offering, food burnt as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.
14 Se l'offerta al Signore è un olocausto di uccelli, sia di tortorelle o di colombine.	14 "If his offering to Yahweh is to be a burnt offering of a bird, he must offer a turtledove or a youngpigeon.
15 Il sacerdote offrirà la vittima all'altare, e ripiegatole il capo sul collo e fattale una ferita, farà scorrere il sangue sull'orlo dell'altare.	15 The priest wil offer it at the altar and wring off its head, which he wil burn on the altar; its blood mustthen be squeezed out on the side of the altar.
16 Il gozzo e le penne le getterà presso l'altare, dalla parte d'oriente, nel luogo dove sogliono esser gettate le ceneri.	16 He will then remove the crop and the feathers and throw them on the eastern side of the altar, wherethe fatty ashes are put.
17 Rottele poi le ali, non la taglierà nè la dividerà con ferro, ma la farà bruciare sopra l'altare, messo il fuoco sotto le legna. Questo è un olocausto, un'offerta di soavissimo odore al Signore.	17 He will then split it in half with a wing on each side, but without separating the two parts. The priest wilthen burn it on the altar, on the wood which is on the fire, as a burnt offering, food burnt as a smel pleasing toYahweh." '
