LA SACRA BIBBIA	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 Amo il Signore, perché ha dato ascolto alla voce della mia implorazione;	1 I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.
2 perché ha teso verso di me il suo orecchio, quando l'invocavo.	2 Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.
3 Mi stringevano funi di morte, i lacci degli inferi mi avvincevano, mi opprimevano tristezza e angoscia.	3 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.
4 Ma ho invocato il nome del Signore: "Ti prego, Signore, salvami!".	4 Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.
5 Pietoso è il Signore e giusto; facile alla compassione è il nostro Dio.	5 Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.
6 Il Signore protegge gli umili: ero misero ed egli mi ha salvato.	6 The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.
7 Ritorna, anima mia, al tuo riposo, poiché il Signore ti ha beneficato.	7 Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.
8 Sì, dalla morte hai liberato l'anima mia, il mio occhio dal pianto, il mio piede dalla caduta.	8 For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.
9 Camminerò al cospetto del Signore nella terra dei viventi.	9 I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.
10 Ho avuto fede, anche se dicevo: "Sono afflitto oltre misura",	10 I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:
11 anche se ho detto nella trepidazione: "Tutti gli uomini sono bugiardi".	11 I said in my haste, All men are liars.
12 Come ricambierò al Signore tutti i benefici che m'ha fatto?	12 What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?
13 Eleverò il calice della salvezza e invocherò il nome del Signore.	13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.
14 Adempirò al Signore i miei voti, dinanzi a tutto il suo popolo.	14 I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people.
15 Preziosa è agli occhi del Signore la morte dei suoi fedeli.	15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
16 Sì, o Signore, io sono tuo servo, tuo servo e figlio della tua ancella. Tu hai sciolto le mie catene.	16 O LORD, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.
17 A te offrirò il sacrificio di lode e invocherò il nome del Signore.	17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.
18 Adempirò al Signore i miei voti al cospetto di tutto il suo popolo,	18 I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people,
19 negli atri della casa del Signore, in mezzo a te, Gerusalemme. Alleluia.	19 In the courts of the LORD's house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
