KING JAMES BIBLENEW AMERICAN BIBLE
Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.1 For the leader; according to "Lilies." Eduth. A psalm of Asaph.
Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come and save us.2 Shepherd of Israel, listen, guide of the flock of Joseph! From your throne upon the cherubim reveal yourself
Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.3 to Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh. Stir up your power, come to save us.
O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?4 O LORD of hosts, restore us; Let your face shine upon us, that we may be saved.
Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure.5 LORD of hosts, how long will you burn with anger while your people pray?
Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves.6 You have fed them the bread of tears, made them drink tears in abundance.
Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.7 You have left us to be fought over by our neighbors; our enemies deride us.
Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it.8 O LORD of hosts, restore us; let your face shine upon us, that we may be saved.
Thou preparedst room before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land.9 You brought a vine out of Egypt; you drove away the nations and planted it.
The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars.10 You cleared the ground; it took root and filled the land.
She sent out her boughs unto the sea, and her branches unto the river.11 The mountains were covered by its shadow, the cedars of God by its branches.
Why hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her?12 It sent out boughs as far as the sea, shoots as far as the river.
The boar out of the wood doth waste it, and the wild beast of the field doth devour it.13 Why have you broken down the walls, so that all who pass by pluck its fruit?
Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;14 The boar from the forest strips the vine; the beast of the field feeds upon it.
And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that thou madest strong for thyself.15 Turn again, LORD of hosts; look down from heaven and see; Attend to this vine,
It is burned with fire, it is cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.16 the shoot your right hand has planted.
Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself.17 Those who would burn or cut it down-- may they perish at your rebuke.
So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name.18 May your help be with the man at your right hand, with the one whom you once made strong.
Turn us again, O LORD God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.19 Then we will not withdraw from you; revive us, and we will call on your name.
LORD of hosts, restore us; let your face shine upon us, that we may be saved.
