DOUAI-RHEIMSNEW AMERICAN BIBLE
I have lifted up my eyes to the mountains, from whence help shall come to me.1 A song of ascents. Of David. I rejoiced when they said to me, "Let us go to the house of the LORD."
My help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.2 And now our feet are standing within your gates, Jerusalem.
May he not suffer thy foot to be moved: neither let him slumber that keepeth thee.3 Jerusalem, built as a city, walled round about.
Behold he shall neither slumber nor sleep, that keepeth Israel.4 Here the tribes have come, the tribes of the LORD, As it was decreed for Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD.
The Lord is thy keeper, the Lord is thy protection upon thy right hand.5 Here are the thrones of justice, the thrones of the house of David.
The sun shall not burn thee by day: nor the moon by night.6 For the peace of Jerusalem pray: "May those who love you prosper!
The Lord keepeth thee from all evil: may the Lord keep thy soul.7 May peace be within your ramparts, prosperity within your towers."
May the Lord keep thy going in and thy going out; from henceforth now and for ever.8 For family and friends I say, "May peace be yours."
For the house of the LORD, our God, I pray, "May blessings be yours."
