1 Psalam. Davidov. Dok David bijaše u Judejskoj pustinji.	1 [Psalm Of David When he was in the desert of Judah] God, you are my God, I pine for you; my heartthirsts for you, my body longs for you, as a land parched, dreary and waterless.
2 O Bože, ti si Bog moj: gorljivo tebe tražim; tebe žeđa duša moja, tebe želi tijelo moje, kao zemlja suha, žedna, bezvodna.	2 Thus I have gazed on you in the sanctuary, seeing your power and your glory.
3 U Svetištu sam tebe motrio gledajuć’ ti moć i slavu.	3 Better your faithful love than life itself; my lips wil praise you.
4 Ljubav je tvoja bolja od života, moje će te usne slavit’.	4 Thus I will bless you al my life, in your name lift up my hands.
5 Tako ću te slavit’ za života, u tvoje ću ime ruke dizati.	5 Al my longings fulfil ed as with fat and rich foods, a song of joy on my lips and praise in my mouth.
6 Duša će mi biti kao sala i mrsa sita, hvalit ću te kliktavim ustima.	6 On my bed when I think of you, I muse on you in the watches of the night,
7 Na postelji se tebe spominjem, u bdjenjima noćnim mislim na tebe.	7 for you have always been my help; in the shadow of your wings I rejoice;
8 Ti postade meni pomoć, kličem u sjeni krila tvojih.	8 my heart clings to you, your right hand supports me.
9 Duša se moja k tebi privija, desnica me tvoja drži.	9 May those who are hounding me to death go down to the depths of the earth,
10 Oni što dušu u propast guraju neka siđu u dubinu zemlje,	10 given over to the blade of the sword, and left as food for jackals.
11 nek’ vlasti mača predani budu, nek’ postanu plijen šakalima.	11 Then the king shall rejoice in God, al who swear by him shal gain recognition, for the mouths of liarsshall be silenced.
12 A kralj će se radovat’ u Bogu, slavit će se tko se kune njime, jer će lašcima biti začepljena usta.
