1 Brothers, certainly the will of my heart, and my prayer to God, is for them unto salvation.	1 Bracia, z całego serca pragnę ich zbawienia i modlę się za nimi do Boga.
2 For I offer testimony to them, that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.	2 Bo muszę im wydać świadectwo, że pałają żarliwością ku Bogu, nie opartą jednak na pełnym zrozumieniu.
3 For, being ignorant of the justice of God, and seeking to establish their own justice, they have not subjected themselves to the justice of God.	3 Albowiem nie chcąc uznać, że usprawiedliwienie pochodzi od Boga, i uporczywie trzymając się własnej drogi usprawiedliwienia, nie poddali się usprawiedliwieniu pochodzącemu od Boga.
4 For the end of the law, Christ, is unto justice for all who believe.	4 A przecież kresem Prawa jest Chrystus, dla usprawiedliwienia każdego, kto wierzy.
5 And Moses wrote, about the justice that is of the law, that the man who will have done justice shall live by justice.	5 Albowiem o sprawiedliwości, jaką daje Prawo, pisze Mojżesz: Kto je wypełnił, osiągnie przez nie życie.
6 But the justice that is of faith speaks in this way: Do not say in your heart: “Who shall ascend into heaven?” (that is, to bring Christ down);	6 Sprawiedliwość zaś osiągana przez wiarę tak powiada: Nie mów w sercu swoim: Któż zdoła wstąpić do nieba? - oczywiście po to, by Chrystusa stamtąd sprowadzić na ziemię, albo: Któż zstąpi do Otchłani? -
7 “Or who shall descend into the abyss?” (that is, to call back Christ from the dead).	7 oczywiście po to, by Chrystusa wyprowadzić spośród umarłych.
8 But what does Scripture say? “The word is near, in your mouth and in your heart.” This is the word of faith, which we are preaching.	8 Ale cóż mówi: Słowo to jest blisko ciebie, na twoich ustach i w sercu twoim. Ale jest to słowo wiary, którą głosimy.
9 For if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and if you believe in your heart that God has raised him up from the dead, you shall be saved.	9 Jeżeli więc ustami swoimi wyznasz, że Jezus jest Panem, i w sercu swoim uwierzysz, że Bóg Go wskrzesił z martwych - osiągniesz zbawienie.
10 For with the heart, we believe unto justice; but with the mouth, confession is unto salvation.	10 Bo sercem przyjęta wiara prowadzi do usprawiedliwienia, a wyznawanie jej ustami - do zbawienia.
11 For Scripture says: “All those who believe in him shall not be confounded.”	11 Wszak mówi Pismo: żaden, kto wierzy w Niego, nie będzie zawstydzony.
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek. For the same Lord is over all, richly in all who call upon him.	12 Nie ma już różnicy między Żydem a Grekiem. Jeden jest bowiem Pan wszystkich. On to rozdziela swe bogactwa wszystkim, którzy Go wzywają.
13 For all those who have called upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.	13 Albowiem każdy, kto wezwie imienia Pańskiego, będzie zbawiony.
14 Then in what way will those who have not believed in him call upon him? Or in what way will those who have not heard of him believe in him? And in what way will they hear of him without preaching?	14 Jakże więc mieli wzywać Tego, w którego nie uwierzyli? Jakże mieli uwierzyć w Tego, którego nie słyszeli? Jakże mieli usłyszeć, gdy im nikt nie głosił?
15 And truly, in what way will they preach, unless they have been sent, just as it has been written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who evangelize peace, of those who evangelize what is good!”	15 Jakże mogliby im głosić, jeśliby nie zostali posłani? Jak to jest napisane: Jak piękne stopy tych, którzy zwiastują dobrą nowinę!
16 But not all are obedient to the Gospel. For Isaiah says: “Lord, who has believed our report?”	16 Ale nie wszyscy dali posłuch Ewangelii. Izajasz bowiem mówi: Panie, któż uwierzył temu, co od nas posłyszał?
17 Therefore, faith is from hearing, and hearing is through the Word of Christ.	17 Przeto wiara rodzi się z tego, co się słyszy, tym zaś, co się słyszy, jest słowo Chrystusa.
18 But I say: Have they not heard? For certainly: “Their sound has gone forth throughout all the earth, and their words unto the limits of the whole world.”	18 Pytam więc: czy może nie słyszeli? Ależ tak: Po całej ziemi rozszedł się ich głos, aż na krańce świata ich słowa.
19 But I say: Has Israel not known? First, Moses says: “I will lead you into a rivalry with those who are not a nation; in the midst of a foolish nation, I will send you into wrath.”	19 Pytam dalej: czyż Izrael nie zrozumiał? Mojżesz mówi: Wzbudzę w was zawiść do tego, który nie jest ludem, wzniecę w was gniew do ludu nierozumnego.
20 And Isaiah dares to say: “I was discovered by those who were not seeking me. I appeared openly to those who were not asking about me.”	20 Izajasz zaś odważa się powiedzieć: Dałem się znaleźć tym, którzy mnie szukali, objawiłem się tym, którzy o Mnie nie pytali.
21 Then to Israel he says: “All day long I have stretched out my hands to a people who do not believe and who contradict me.”	21 A do Izraela mówi: Cały dzień wyciągałem ręce do ludu nieposłusznego i opornego.
