Romans 10

1 Brothers, certainly the will of my heart, and my prayer to God, is for them unto salvation.	1 Fratelli, il desiderio del mio cuore e la mia preghiera salgono a Dio per la loro salvezza.
2 For I offer testimony to them, that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.	2 Infatti rendo loro testimonianza che hanno zelo per Dio, ma non secondo una retta conoscenza.
3 For, being ignorant of the justice of God, and seeking to establish their own justice, they have not subjected themselves to the justice of God.	3 Perché, ignorando la giustizia di Dio e cercando di stabilire la propria, non si sono sottomessi alla giustizia di Dio.
4 For the end of the law, Christ, is unto justice for all who believe.	4 Ora, il termine della Legge è Cristo, perché la giustizia sia data a chiunque crede.
5 And Moses wrote, about the justice that is of the law, that the man who will have done justice shall live by justice.	5 Mosè descrive così la giustizia che viene dalla Legge: L’uomo che la mette in pratica, per mezzo di essa vivrà.
6 But the justice that is of faith speaks in this way: Do not say in your heart: “Who shall ascend into heaven?” (that is, to bring Christ down);	6 Invece, la giustizia che viene dalla fede parla così: Non dire nel tuo cuore: Chi salirà al cielo? – per farne cioè discendere Cristo –;
7 “Or who shall descend into the abyss?” (that is, to call back Christ from the dead).	7 oppure: Chi scenderà nell’abisso? – per fare cioè risalire Cristo dai morti.
8 But what does Scripture say? “The word is near, in your mouth and in your heart.” This is the word of faith, which we are preaching.	8 Che cosa dice dunque? Vicino a te è la Parola, sulla tua bocca e nel tuo cuore, cioè la parola della fede che noi predichiamo.
9 For if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and if you believe in your heart that God has raised him up from the dead, you shall be saved.	9 Perché se con la tua bocca proclamerai: «Gesù è il Signore!», e con il tuo cuore crederai che Dio lo ha risuscitato dai morti, sarai salvo.
10 For with the heart, we believe unto justice; but with the mouth, confession is unto salvation.	10 Con il cuore infatti si crede per ottenere la giustizia, e con la bocca si fa la professione di fede per avere la salvezza.
11 For Scripture says: “All those who believe in him shall not be confounded.”	11 Dice infatti la Scrittura: Chiunque crede in lui non sarà deluso.
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek. For the same Lord is over all, richly in all who call upon him.	12 Poiché non c’è distinzione fra Giudeo e Greco, dato che lui stesso è il Signore di tutti, ricco verso tutti quelli che lo invocano.
13 For all those who have called upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.	13 Infatti: Chiunque invocherà il nome del Signore sarà salvato.
14 Then in what way will those who have not believed in him call upon him? Or in what way will those who have not heard of him believe in him? And in what way will they hear of him without preaching?	14 Ora, come invocheranno colui nel quale non hanno creduto? Come crederanno in colui del quale non hanno sentito parlare? Come ne sentiranno parlare senza qualcuno che lo annunci?
15 And truly, in what way will they preach, unless they have been sent, just as it has been written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who evangelize peace, of those who evangelize what is good!”	15 E come lo annunceranno, se non sono stati inviati? Come sta scritto: Quanto sono belli i piedi di coloro che recano un lieto annuncio di bene!
16 But not all are obedient to the Gospel. For Isaiah says: “Lord, who has believed our report?”	16 Ma non tutti hanno obbedito al Vangelo. Lo dice Isaia: Signore, chi ha creduto dopo averci ascoltato?
17 Therefore, faith is from hearing, and hearing is through the Word of Christ.	17 Dunque, la fede viene dall’ascolto e l’ascolto riguarda la parola di Cristo.
18 But I say: Have they not heard? For certainly: “Their sound has gone forth throughout all the earth, and their words unto the limits of the whole world.”	18 Ora io dico: forse non hanno udito? Tutt’altro: Per tutta la terra è corsa la loro voce, e fino agli estremi confini del mondo le loro parole.
19 But I say: Has Israel not known? First, Moses says: “I will lead you into a rivalry with those who are not a nation; in the midst of a foolish nation, I will send you into wrath.”	19 E dico ancora: forse Israele non ha compreso? Per primo Mosè dice: Io vi renderò gelosi di una nazione che nazione non è; susciterò il vostro sdegno contro una nazione senza intelligenza.
20 And Isaiah dares to say: “I was discovered by those who were not seeking me. I appeared openly to those who were not asking about me.”	20 Isaia poi arriva fino a dire: Sono stato trovato da quelli che non mi cercavano, mi sono manifestato a quelli che non chiedevano di me,
21 Then to Israel he says: “All day long I have stretched out my hands to a people who do not believe and who contradict me.”	21 mentre d’Israele dice: Tutto il giorno ho steso le mani verso un popolo disobbediente e ribelle!
