2 "The Israelites shall camp, each in his own division, under the ensigns of their ancestral houses. They shall camp around the meeting tent, but at some distance from it.	2 איש על דגלו באתת לבית אבתם יחנו בני ישראל מנגד סביב לאהל מועד יחנו
3 "Encamped on the east side, toward the sunrise, shall be the divisional camp of Judah, arranged in companies. (The prince of the Judahites was Nahshon, son of Amminadab,	3 והחנים קדמה מזרחה דגל מחנה יהודה לצבאתם ונשיא לבני יהודה נחשון בן עמינדב
4 and his soldiers amounted in the census to seventy-four thousand six hundred.)	4 וצבאו ופקדיהם ארבעה ושבעים אלף ושש מאות
5 With Judah shall camp the tribe of Issachar (Their prince was Nethanel, son of Zuar,	5 והחנים עליו מטה יששכר ונשיא לבני יששכר נתנאל בן צוער
6 and his soldiers amounted in the census to fifty-four thousand four hundred.)	6 וצבאו ופקדיו ארבעה וחמשים אלף וארבע מאות
7 and the tribe of Zebulun. (Their prince was Eliab, son of Helon,	7 מטה זבולן ונשיא לבני זבולן אליאב בן חלן
8 and his soldiers amounted in the census to fifty-seven thousand four hundred.	8 וצבאו ופקדיו שבעה וחמשים אלף וארבע מאות
9 The total number of those registered by companies in the camp of Judah was one hundred and eighty-six thousand four hundred.) These shall be first on the march.	9 כל הפקדים למחנה יהודה מאת אלף ושמנים אלף וששת אלפים וארבע מאות לצבאתם ראשנה יסעו
10 "On the south side shall be the divisional camp of Reuben, arranged in companies. (Their prince was Elizur, son of Shedeur,	10 דגל מחנה ראובן תימנה לצבאתם ונשיא לבני ראובן אליצור בן שדיאור
11 and his soldiers amounted in the census to forty-six thousand five hundred.)	11 וצבאו ופקדיו ששה וארבעים אלף וחמש מאות
12 Beside them shall camp the tribe of Simeon (Their prince was Shelumiel, son of Zurishaddai,	12 והחונם עליו מטה שמעון ונשיא לבני שמעון שלמיאל בן צורי שדי
13 and his soldiers amounted in the census to fifty-nine thousand three hundred.)	13 וצבאו ופקדיהם תשעה וחמשים אלף ושלש מאות
14 and next the tribe of Gad. (Their prince was Eliasaph, son of Reuel,	14 ומטה גד ונשיא לבני גד אליסף בן דעואל
15 and his soldiers amounted in the census to forty-five thousand six hundred and fifty.	15 וצבאו ופקדיהם חמשה וארבעים אלף ושש מאות וחמשים
16 The total number of those registered by companies in the camp of Reuben was one hundred and fifty-one thousand four hundred and fifty.) These shall be second on the march.	16 כל הפקדים למחנה ראובן מאת אלף ואחד וחמשים אלף וארבע מאות וחמשים לצבאתם ושנים יסעו
17 "Then the meeting tent and the camp of the Levites shall set out in the middle of the line. As in camp, so also on the march, every man shall be in his proper place, with his own division.	17 ונסע אהל מועד מחנה הלוים בתוך המחנת כאשר יחנו כן יסעו איש על ידו לדגליהם
18 "On the west side shall be the divisional camp of Ephraim, arranged in companies. (Their prince was Elishama, son of Ammihud,	18 דגל מחנה אפרים לצבאתם ימה ונשיא לבני אפרים אלישמע בן עמיהוד
19 and his soldiers amounted in the census to forty thousand five hundred.)	19 וצבאו ופקדיהם ארבעים אלף וחמש מאות
20 Beside them shall camp the tribe of Manasseh (Their prince was Gamaliel, son of Pedahzur,	20 ועליו מטה מנשה ונשיא לבני מנשה גמליאל בן פדהצור
21 and his soldiers amounted in the census to thirty-two thousand two hundred.)	21 וצבאו ופקדיהם שנים ושלשים אלף ומאתים
22 and the tribe of Benjamin. (Their prince was Abidan, son of Gideoni,	22 ומטה בנימן ונשיא לבני בנימן אבידן בן גדעני
23 and his soldiers amounted in the census to thirty-five thousand four hundred.	23 וצבאו ופקדיהם חמשה ושלשים אלף וארבע מאות
24 The total number of those registered by companies in the camp of Ephraim was one hundred and eight thousand one hundred.) These shall be third on the march.	24 כל הפקדים למחנה אפרים מאת אלף ושמנת אלפים ומאה לצבאתם ושלשים יסעו
25 "On the north side shall be the divisional camp of Dan, arranged in companies. (Their prince was Ahiezer, son of Ammishaddai,	25 דגל מחנה דן צפנה לצבאתם ונשיא לבני דן אחיעזר בן עמישדי
26 and his soldiers amounted in the census to sixty-two thousand seven hundred.)	26 וצבאו ופקדיהם שנים וששים אלף ושבע מאות
27 Beside them shall camp the tribe of Asher (Their prince was Pagiel, son of Ochran,	27 והחנים עליו מטה אשר ונשיא לבני אשר פגעיאל בן עכרן
28 and his soldiers amounted in the census to forty-one thousand five hundred.)	28 וצבאו ופקדיהם אחד וארבעים אלף וחמש מאות
29 and next the tribe of Naphtali. (Their prince was Ahira, son of Enan,	29 ומטה נפתלי ונשיא לבני נפתלי אחירע בן עינן
30 and his soldiers amounted in the census to fifty-three thousand four hundred.	30 וצבאו ופקדיהם שלשה וחמשים אלף וארבע מאות
31 The total number of those registered by companies in the camp of Dan was one hundred and fifty-seven thousand six hundred.) These shall be the last of the divisions on the march."	31 כל הפקדים למחנה דן מאת אלף ושבעה וחמשים אלף ושש מאות לאחרנה יסעו לדגליהם
32 This was the census of the Israelites taken by ancestral houses. The total number of those registered by companies in the camps was six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty.	32 אלה פקודי בני ישראל לבית אבתם כל פקודי המחנת לצבאתם שש מאות אלף ושלשת אלפים וחמש מאות וחמשים
33 The Levites, however, were not registered with the other Israelites, for so the LORD had commanded Moses.	33 והלוים לא התפקדו בתוך בני ישראל כאשר צוה יהוה את משה
34 The Israelites did just as the LORD had commanded Moses; both in camp and on the march they were in their own divisions, every man according to his clan and his ancestral house.	34 ויעשו בני ישראל ככל אשר צוה יהוה את משה כן חנו לדגליהם וכן נסעו איש למשפחתיו על בית אבתיו
