JERUSALEM	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 "Je suis la vigne véritable et mon Père est le vigneron.	1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Tout sarment en moi qui ne porte pas de fruit, il l'enlève, et tout sarment qui porte du fruit, ill'émonde, pour qu'il porte encore plus de fruit.	2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Déjà vous êtes purs grâce à la parole que je vous ai fait entendre.	3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Demeurez en moi, comme moi en vous. De même que le sarment ne peut de lui-même porter du fruits'il ne demeure pas sur la vigne, ainsi vous non plus, si vous ne demeurez pas en moi.	4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 Je suis la vigne; vous, les sarments. Celui qui demeure en moi, et moi en lui, celui-là porte beaucoupde fruit; car hors de moi vous ne pouvez rien faire.	5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 Si quelqu'un ne demeure pas en moi, il est jeté dehors comme le sarment et il se dessèche; on lesramasse et on les jette au feu et ils brûlent.	6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 Si vous demeurez en moi et que mes paroles demeurent en vous, demandez ce que vous voudrez, etvous l'aurez.	7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 C'est la gloire de mon Père que vous portiez beaucoup de fruit et deveniez mes disciples.	8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
9 Comme le Père m'a aimé, moi aussi je vous ai aimés. Demeurez en mon amour.	9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
10 Si vous gardez mes commandements, vous demeurerez en mon amour, comme moi j'ai gardé lescommandements de mon Père et je demeure en son amour.	10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
11 Je vous dis cela pour que ma joie soit en vous et que votre joie soit complète.	11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
12 Voici quel est mon commandement: vous aimer les uns les autres comme je vous ai aimés.	12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13 Nul n'a plus grand amour que celui-ci: donner sa vie pour ses amis.	13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 Vous êtes mes amis, si vous faites ce que je vous commande.	14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
15 Je ne vous appelle plus serviteurs, car le serviteur ne sait pas ce que fait son maître; mais je vousappelle amis, parce que tout ce que j'ai entendu de mon Père, je vous l'ai fait connaître.	15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
16 Ce n'est pas vous qui m'avez choisi; mais c'est moi qui vous ai choisis et vous ai établis pour quevous alliez et portiez du fruit et que votre fruit demeure, afin que tout ce que vous demanderez au Père en monnom, il vous le donne.	16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
17 Ce que je vous commande, c'est de vous aimer les uns les autres.	17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.
18 Si le monde vous hait, sachez que moi, il m'a pris en haine avant vous.	18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
19 Si vous étiez du monde, le monde aimerait son bien; mais parce que vous n'êtes pas du monde,puisque mon choix vous a tiré du monde, pour cette raison, le monde vous hait.	19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
20 Rappelez-vous la parole que je vous ai dite: Le serviteur n'est pas plus grand que son maître. S'ilsm'ont persécuté, vous aussi ils vous persécuteront; s'ils ont gardé ma parole, la vôtre aussi ils la garderont.	20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
21 Mais tout cela, ils le feront contre vous à cause de mon nom, parce qu'ils ne connaissent pas celui quim'a envoyé.	21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.
22 Si je n'étais pas venu et ne leur avais pas parlé, ils n'auraient pas de péché; mais maintenant ils n'ontpas d'excuse à leur péché.	22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.
23 Qui me hait, hait aussi mon Père.	23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
24 Si je n'avais pas fait parmi eux les oeuvres que nul autre n'a faites, ils n'auraient pas de péché; maismaintenant ils ont vu et ils nous haïssent, et moi et mon Père.	24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
25 Mais c'est pour que s'accomplisse la parole écrite dans leur Loi: Ils m'ont haï sans raison.	25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
26 Lorsque viendra le Paraclet, que je vous enverrai d'auprès du Père, l'Esprit de vérité, qui vient duPère, il me rendra témoignage.	26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
27 Mais vous aussi, vous témoignerez, parce que vous êtes avec moi depuis le commencement.	27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
