1 Comme il s'en allait hors du Temple, un de ses disciples lui dit: "Maître, regarde, quelles pierres!quelles constructions!"	1 And as he was departing from the temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Teacher, observe these fine stones and fine structures.”
2 Et Jésus lui dit: "Tu vois ces grandes constructions? Il n'en restera pas pierre sur pierre qui ne soitjetée bas."	2 And in response, Jesus said to him: “Do you see all these great buildings? There shall not be left stone upon stone, which is not torn down.”
3 Et comme il était assis sur le mont des Oliviers en face du Temple, Pierre, Jacques, Jean et Andrél'interrogeaient en particulier:	3 And as he sat at the Mount of Olives, opposite the temple, Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew questioned him privately.
4 "Dis-nous quand cela aura lieu et quel sera le signe que tout cela va finir?"	4 “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign when all these things will begin to be fulfilled?”
5 Alors Jésus se mit à leur dire: "Prenez garde qu'on ne vous abuse.	5 And Jesus, answering, began to say to them: “See to it that no one leads you astray.
6 Il en viendra beaucoup sous mon nom, qui diront: C'est moi, et ils abuseront bien des gens.	6 For many will come in my name, saying, ‘For I am he,’ and they will lead many astray.
7 Lorsque vous entendrez parler de guerres et de rumeurs de guerres, ne vous alarmez pas: il faut quecela arrive, mais ce ne sera pas encore la fin.	7 But when you will have heard of wars and rumors of wars, you should not be afraid. For these things must be, but the end is not so soon.
8 On se dressera, en effet, nation contre nation et royaume contre royaume. Il y aura par endroits destremblements de terre, il y aura des famines. Ce sera le commencement des douleurs de l'enfantement.	8 For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom over kingdom, and there shall be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are but the beginning of the sorrows.
9 "Soyez sur vos gardes. On vous livrera aux sanhédrins, vous serez battus de verges dans lessynagogues et vous comparaîtrez devant des gouverneurs et des rois, à cause de moi, pour rendre témoignage enface d'eux.	9 But see to yourselves. For they will hand you over to councils, and in the synagogues you will be beaten, and you shall stand before governors and kings because of me, as a testimony for them.
10 Il faut d'abord que l'Evangile soit proclamé à toutes les nations.	10 And the Gospel must first be preached to all nations.
11 "Et quand on vous emmènera pour vous livrer, ne vous préoccupez pas de ce que vous direz, maisdites ce qui vous sera donné sur le moment: car ce n'est pas vous qui parlerez, mais l'Esprit Saint.	11 And when they have seized you and handed you over, do not consider in advance what to say. But whatever will be given you in that hour, say that. For you will not be speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
12 Le frère livrera son frère à la mort, et le père son enfant; les enfants se dresseront contre leursparents et les feront mourir.	12 Then brother will betray brother to death, and the father, a son; and children will rise up against their parents and will bring about their death.
13 Et vous serez haïs de tous à cause de mon nom, mais celui qui aura tenu bon jusqu'au bout, celui-làsera sauvé.	13 And you will be hated by all for the sake of my name. But whoever will have persevered unto the end, the same will be saved.
14 "Lorsque vous verrez l'abomination de la désolation installée là où elle ne doit pas être (que lelecteur comprenne!) alors que ceux qui seront en Judée s'enfuient dans les montagnes,	14 Then, when you have seen the abomination of desolation, standing where it ought not to be, let the reader understand: then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
15 que celui qui sera sur la terrasse ne descende pas pour rentrer dans sa maison et prendre ses affaires;	15 And let whoever is on the rooftop not descend to the house, nor enter so as to take anything from the house.
16 et que celui qui sera aux champs ne retourne pas en arrière pour prendre son manteau!	16 And let whoever may be in the field not return to take his garment.
17 Malheur à celles qui seront enceintes et à celles qui allaiteront en ces jours-là!	17 But woe to those who are pregnant or nursing in those days.
18 Priez pour que cela ne tombe pas en hiver.	18 Truly, pray that these things may not happen in winter.
19 Car en ces jours-là il y aura une tribulation telle qu'il n'y en a pas eu de pareille depuis lecommencement de la création qu'a créée Dieu jusqu'à ce jour, et qu'il n'y en aura jamais plus.	19 For those days shall have such tribulations as have not been since the beginning of the creation that God founded, even until now, and shall not be.
20 Et si le Seigneur n'avait abrégé ces jours, nul n'aurait eu la vie sauve; mais à cause des élus qu'il achoisis, il a abrégé ces jours.	20 And unless the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh would be saved. But, for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened the days.
21 Alors si quelqu'un vous dit: Voici: le Christ est ici!, Voici: il est là!, n'en croyez rien.	21 And then, if anyone will have said to you: ‘Behold, here is the Christ. Behold, in that place.’ Do not believe it.
22 Il surgira, en effet, des faux Christs et des faux prophètes qui opéreront des signes et des prodigespour abuser, s'il était possible, les élus.	22 For false Christs and false prophets will rise up, and they will present signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if it were possible, even the elect.
23 Pour vous, soyez en garde: je vous ai prévenus de tout.	23 Therefore, you must take heed. Behold, I have foretold all to you.
24 Mais en ces jours-là, après cette tribulation, le soleil s'obscurcira, la lune ne donnera plus salumière,	24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give her splendor.
25 les étoiles se mettront à tomber du ciel et les puissances qui sont dans les cieux seront ébranlées.	25 And the stars of heaven will be falling down, and the powers that are in heaven will be moved.
26 Et alors on verra le Fils de l'homme venant dans des nuées avec grande puissance et gloire.	26 And then they shall see the Son of man arriving on the clouds, with great power and glory.
27 Et alors il enverra les anges pour rassembler ses élus, des quatre vents, de l'extrémité de la terre àl'extrémité du ciel.	27 And then he will send his Angels, and gather together his elect, from the four winds, from the limits of the earth, to the limits of heaven.
28 "Du figuier apprenez cette parabole. Dès que sa ramure devient flexible et que ses feuilles poussent,vous comprenez que l'été est proche.	28 Now from the fig tree discern a parable. When its branch becomes tender and the foliage has been formed, you know that summer is very near.
29 Ainsi vous, lorsque vous verrez cela arriver, comprenez qu'Il est proche, aux portes.	29 So also, when you will have seen these things happen, know that it is very near, even at the doors.
30 En vérité je vous le dis, cette génération ne passera pas que tout cela ne soit arrivé.	30 Amen I say to you, that this lineage shall not pass away, until all these things have happened.
31 Le ciel et la terre passeront, mais mes paroles ne passeront point.	31 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my word shall not pass away.
32 "Quant à la date de ce jour, ou à l'heure, personne ne les connaît, ni les anges dans le ciel, ni le Fils,personne que le Père.	32 But concerning that day or hour, no one knows, neither the Angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
33 "Soyez sur vos gardes, veillez, car vous ne savez pas quand ce sera le moment.	33 Take heed, be vigilant, and pray. For you do not know when the time may be.
34 Il en sera comme d'un homme parti en voyage: il a quitté sa maison, donné pouvoir à ses serviteurs,à chacun sa tâche, et au portier il a recommandé de veiller.	34 It is like a man who, setting out on a sojourn, left behind his house, and gave his servants authority over every work, and instructed the doorkeeper to stand watch.
35 Veillez donc, car vous ne savez pas quand le maître de la maison va venir, le soir, à minuit, au chantdu coq ou le matin,	35 Therefore, be vigilant, for you do not know when the lord of the house may arrive: in the evening, or in the middle of the night, or at first light, or in the morning.
36 de peur que, venant à l'improviste, il ne vous trouve endormis.	36 Otherwise, when he will have arrived unexpectedly, he may find you sleeping.
37 Et ce que je vous dis à vous, je le dis à tous: veillez!"	37 But what I say to you, I say to all: Be vigilant.”
