JERUSALEM	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 Ecoutez cette parole que je profère contre vous, une lamentation, maison d'Israël:	1 Hear ye this word which I take up against you, even a lamentation, O house of Israel.
2 Elle est tombée, elle ne se relèvera plus, la vierge d'Israël! Elle est étendue sur son sol, personne pourla relever!	2 The virgin of Israel is fallen; she shall no more rise: she is forsaken upon her land; there is none to raise her up.
3 Car ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé: la ville qui mettait en campagne mille hommes n'en aura plus quecent, et celle qui en mettait cent n'en aura plus que dix, pour la maison d'Israël.	3 For thus saith the Lord GOD; The city that went out by a thousand shall leave an hundred, and that which went forth by an hundred shall leave ten, to the house of Israel.
4 Car ainsi parle Yahvé à la maison d'Israël: Cherchez-moi et vous vivrez!	4 For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live:
5 Mais ne cherchez pas Béthel, n'allez pas à Gilgal, ne passez pas à Bersabée; car Gilgal ira endéportation et Béthel deviendra néant.	5 But seek not Bethel, nor enter into Gilgal, and pass not to Beer-sheba: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Bethel shall come to nought.
6 Cherchez Yahvé et vous vivrez, de peur qu'il ne fonde comme le feu sur la maison de Joseph, qu'il nedévore, et personne à Béthel pour éteindre!	6 Seek the LORD, and ye shall live; lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and devour it, and there be none to quench it in Bethel.
7 Ils changent le droit en absinthe et jettent à terre la justice.	7 Ye who turn judgment to wormwood, and leave off righteousness in the earth,
8 C'est lui qui fait les Pléiades et Orion, qui change en matin les ténèbres épaisses et obscurcit le jourcomme la nuit; lui qui appelle les eaux de la mer et les répand sur la face de la terre; Yahvé est son nom.	8 Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name:
9 Il déchaîne la dévastation sur celui qui est fort, et la dévastation arrive sur la citadelle.	9 That strengtheneth the spoiled against the strong, so that the spoiled shall come against the fortress.
10 Ils haïssent quiconque réprimande à la Porte, ils abhorrent celui qui parle avec intégrité.	10 They hate him that rebuketh in the gate, and they abhor him that speaketh uprightly.
11 Eh bien! puisque vous piétinez le faible et que vous prélevez sur lui un tribut de froment, cesmaisons en pierres de taille que vous avez bâties, vous n'y habiterez pas; ces vignes délicieuses que vous avezplantées, vous n'en boirez pas le vin.	11 Forasmuch therefore as your treading is upon the poor, and ye take from him burdens of wheat: ye have built houses of hewn stone, but ye shall not dwell in them; ye have planted pleasant vineyards, but ye shall not drink wine of them.
12 Car je sais combien nombreux sont vos crimes, énormes vos péchés, oppresseurs du juste,extorqueurs de rançons, vous qui, à la Porte, déboutez les pauvres.	12 For I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins: they afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate from their right.
13 Voilà pourquoi l'homme avisé se tait en ce temps-ci, car c'est un temps de malheur.	13 Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time; for it is an evil time.
14 Recherchez le bien et non le mal, afin que vous viviez, et qu'ainsi Yahvé, Dieu Sabaot, soit avecvous, comme vous le dites.	14 Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken.
15 Haïssez le mal, aimez le bien, et faites régner le droit à la Porte; peut-être Yahvé, Dieu Sabaot,prendra-t-il en pitié le reste de Joseph!	15 Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.
16 C'est pourquoi, ainsi parle Yahvé, le Dieu Sabaot, le Seigneur: Sur toutes les places il y aura deslamentations, et dans toutes les rues, on dira "Hélas! Hélas!" On convoquera le laboureur au deuil et auxlamentations ceux qui savent gémir;	16 Therefore the LORD, the God of hosts, the Lord, saith thus; Wailing shall be in all streets; and they shall say in all the highways, Alas! alas! and they shall call the husbandman to mourning, and such as are skilful of lamentation to wailing.
17 dans toutes les vignes il y aura des lamentations, car je vais passer au milieu de toi, dit Yahvé.	17 And in all vineyards shall be wailing: for I will pass through thee, saith the LORD.
18 Malheur à ceux qui soupirent après le jour de Yahvé! Que sera-t-il pour vous, le jour de Yahvé? Ilsera ténèbres, et non lumière.	18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.
19 Tel l'homme qui fuit devant un lion et tombe sur un ours! Il entre à la maison, appuie sa main aumur, et un serpent le mord!	19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.
20 N'est-il pas ténèbres, le jour de Yahvé, et non lumière? Il est obscur et sans clarté!	20 Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?
21 Je hais, je méprise vos fêtes et je ne puis sentir vos réunions solennelles.	21 I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.
22 Quand vous m'offrez des holocaustes... vos oblations, je ne les agrée pas, le sacrifice de vos bêtesgrasses, je ne le regarde pas.	22 Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts.
23 Ecarte de moi le bruit de tes cantiques, que je n'entende pas la musique de tes harpes!	23 Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols.
24 Mais que le droit coule comme de l'eau, et la justice, comme un torrent qui ne tarit pas.	24 But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.
25 Des sacrifices et des oblations, m'en avez-vous présentés au désert, pendant 40 ans, maison d'Israël?	25 Have ye offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel?
26 Vous emporterez Sakkut, votre roi, et l'étoile de votre dieu, Kevân, ces images que vous vous êtesfabriquées;	26 But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.
27 et je vous déporterai par-delà Damas, dit Yahvé - Dieu Sabaot est son nom.	27 Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, saith the LORD, whose name is The God of hosts.
