2 Grand, Yahvé, et louable hautement dans la ville de notre Dieu, le mont sacré,	2 Great is the LORD and highly praised in the city of our God: The holy mountain,
3 superbe d'élan, joie de toute la terre; le mont Sion, coeur de l'Aquilon, cité du grand roi:	3 fairest of heights, the joy of all the earth, Mount Zion, the heights of Zaphon, the city of the great king.
4 Dieu, du milieu de ses palais, s'est révélé citadelle.	4 God is its citadel, renowned as a stronghold.
5 Voici, des rois s'étaient ligués, avançant à la fois;	5 See! The kings assembled, together they invaded.
6 ils virent, et du coup stupéfaits, pris de panique, ils décampèrent.	6 When they looked they were astounded; terrified, they were put to flight!
7 Là, un tremblement les saisit, un frisson d'accouchée,	7 Trembling seized them there, anguish, like a woman's labor,
8 ce fut le vent d'est qui brise les vaisseaux de Tarsis.	8 As when the east wind wrecks the ships of Tarshish!
9 Comme on nous l'avait dit, nous l'avons vu dans la ville de notre Dieu, dans la ville de YahvéSabaot; Dieu l'affermit à jamais.	9 What we had heard we now see in the city of the LORD of hosts, In the city of our God, founded to last forever. Selah
10 Nous méditons, Dieu, ton amour au milieu de ton Temple!	10 O God, within your temple we ponder your steadfast love.
11 Comme ton nom, Dieu, ta louange, jusqu'au bout de la terre! Ta droite est remplie de justice,	11 Like your name, O God, your praise reaches the ends of the earth. Your right hand is fully victorious.
12 le mont Sion jubile; les filles de Juda exultent devant tes jugements.	12 Mount Zion is glad! The cities of Judah rejoice because of your saving deeds!
13 Longez Sion, parcourez-la, dénombrez ses tours;	13 Go about Zion, walk all around it, note the number of its towers.
14 que vos coeurs s'attachent à ses murs, détaillez ses palais; pour raconter aux âges futurs	14 Consider the ramparts, examine its citadels, that you may tell future generations:
15 que lui est Dieu, notre Dieu aux siècles des siècles, lui, il nous conduit!	15 "Yes, so mighty is God, our God who leads us always!"
