1 Du maître de chant. Sur l'octacorde. Psaume de David.	1 Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.
2 Sauve, Yahvé! c'en est fait de tes amis, les fidèles ont disparu d'entre les fils d'Adam.	2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.
3 On ne fait que mentir, chacun à son prochain, lèvres trompeuses, langage d'un coeur double.	3 The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:
4 Que Yahvé retranche toute lèvre trompeuse, la langue qui fait de grandes phrases,	4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?
5 ceux qui disent: "La langue est notre fort, nos lèvres sont pour nous, qui serait notre maître?"	5 For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.
6 A cause du malheureux qu'on dépouille, du pauvre qui gémit, maintenant je me lève, déclareYahvé: j'assurerai le salut à ceux qui en ont soif.	6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Les paroles de Yahvé sont des paroles sincères, argent natif qui sort de terre, sept fois épuré;	7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
8 toi, Yahvé, tu y veilleras. Tu le protégeras d'une telle engeance à jamais;	8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.
9 de toutes parts les impies s'en iront, comble d'abjection chez les fils d'Adam.
