| 1 Observe le mois des grains nouveaux, qui est au commencement (le premier) du printemps, en célébrant la Pâque en l'honneur du Seigneur ton Dieu ; car c'est le mois où le Seigneur ton Dieu t'a fait sortir de l'Egypte pendant la nuit. | 1 Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto the LORD thy God: for in the month of Abib the LORD thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night. |
| 2 (Ainsi) Tu immoleras la Pâque au Seigneur ton Dieu, en lui sacrifiant des brebis et des bœufs, dans le lieu que le Seigneur ton Dieu aura choisi pour y établir la gloire de son nom. | 2 Thou shalt therefore sacrifice the passover unto the LORD thy God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which the LORD shall choose to place his name there. |
| 3 Tu ne mangeras pas de pain levé durant cette fête ; mais pendant sept jours tu mangeras du pain d'affliction, où il n'y ait pas de levain ; parce que tu es sorti de l'Egypte dans une grande (la) frayeur, afin que tu te souviennes du jour de ta sortie d'Egypte tous les jours de ta vie. | 3 Thou shalt eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread therewith, even the bread of affliction; for thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life. |
| 4 Il ne paraîtra point de levain dans toute l'étendue de ton pays pendant sept jours, et il ne devra rien rester de la chair de la victime qui aura été immolée au soir du premier jour, jusqu'au matin. | 4 And there shall be no leavened bread seen with thee in all thy coast seven days; neither shall there anything of the flesh, which thou sacrificedst the first day at even, remain all night until the morning. |
| 5 Tu ne pourras pas immoler la Pâque (indifféremment) dans toutes les villes que le Seigneur ton Dieu te donnera, | 5 Thou mayest not sacrifice the passover within any of thy gates, which the LORD thy God giveth thee: |
| 6 mais seulement dans le lieu que le Seigneur ton Dieu aura choisi pour y établir son nom ; et tu immoleras la Pâque le soir au soleil couchant, car c'est le temps où tu es sorti d'Egypte. | 6 But at the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt. |
| 7 Tu feras cuire la victime et tu la mangeras au lieu que le Seigneur ton Dieu aura choisi ; et, te levant le matin, tu retourneras dans tes maisons (tabernacles, note). | 7 And thou shalt roast and eat it in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose: and thou shalt turn in the morning, and go unto thy tents. |
| 8 Tu mangeras des pains sans levain pendant six jours ; et, le septième jour, tu ne feras point d'œuvre servile, parce que ce sera le jour de l'assemblée solennelle instituée en l'honneur du Seigneur ton Dieu. | 8 Six days thou shalt eat unleavened bread: and on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to the LORD thy God: thou shalt do no work therein. |
| 9 Tu compteras sept semaines depuis le jour où tu auras mis la faucille (faux) dans les blés (la moisson), | 9 Seven weeks shalt thou number unto thee: begin to number the seven weeks from such time as thou beginnest to put the sickle to the corn. |
| 10 et tu célébreras la fête des semaines en l'honneur du Seigneur ton Dieu, en lui présentant l'oblation volontaire du travail de tes mains, que tu lui offriras, selon que le Seigneur ton Dieu y aura donné sa bénédiction. | 10 And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto the LORD thy God with a tribute of a freewill offering of thine hand, which thou shalt give unto the LORD thy God, according as the LORD thy God hath blessed thee: |
| 11 Et tu feras devant le Seigneur ton Dieu des festins (de réjouissance), toi, ton fils et ta fille, ton serviteur et ta servante, le Lévite qui est dans l'enceinte de tes murailles, l'étranger, l'orphelin et la veuve qui demeurent avec toi, dans le lieu que le Seigneur ton Dieu aura choisi pour établir son nom. | 11 And thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to place his name there. |
| 12 (Et) Tu te souviendras que tu as été toi-même esclave en Egypte, et tu auras soin d'observer et de faire ce qui t'a été commandé. | 12 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt: and thou shalt observe and do these statutes. |
| 13 Tu célébreras aussi la fête solennelle des Tabernacles pendant sept jours, lorsque tu auras recueilli de l'aire et du pressoir les fruits de tes champs ; | 13 Thou shalt observe the feast of tabernacles seven days, after that thou hast gathered in thy corn and thy wine: |
| 14 et tu feras des festins (de réjouissance) en cette fête, toi, ton fils et ta fille, ton serviteur et ta servante, avec le Lévite, l'étranger, l'orphelin et la veuve qui sont dans tes villes. | 14 And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite, the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates. |
| 15 Tu célébreras cette fête pendant sept jours en l'honneur du Seigneur ton Dieu, dans le lieu que le Seigneur aura choisi ; et le Seigneur ton Dieu te bénira dans tous les fruits de tes champs et dans tout le travail de tes mains, et tu seras dans la joie. | 15 Seven days shalt thou keep a solemn feast unto the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD shall choose: because the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thine increase, and in all the works of thine hands, therefore thou shalt surely rejoice. |
| 16 Tous les (tes enfants) mâles paraîtront trois fois l'année devant le Seigneur ton Dieu dans le lieu qu'il aura choisi : à la fête solennelle des pains sans levain, à la fête solennelle des semaines et à la fête solennelle des Tabernacles. Ils ne paraîtront point les mains vides devant le Seigneur ; | 16 Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty: |
| 17 mais chacun offrira à proportion de ce qu'il aura, selon que le Seigneur son Dieu lui aura donné sa bénédiction. | 17 Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee. |
| 18 Tu établiras des juges et des magistrats à toutes les portes des villes que le Seigneur ton Dieu t'aura données dans chacune de tes tribus, afin qu'ils jugent le peuple selon la justice, | 18 Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, throughout thy tribes: and they shall judge the people with just judgment. |
| 19 sans se détourner ni d'un côté ni de l'autre. Tu n'auras point d'égard à la qualité des personnes, et tu ne recevras point de présents, parce que les présents aveuglent les yeux des sages, et corrompent les sentiments (paroles) des justes. | 19 Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous. |
| 20 Tu t'attacheras à ce qui est juste, dans la vue de la justice ; afin que tu vives et que tu possèdes la terre que le Seigneur ton Dieu t'aura donnée. | 20 That which is altogether just shalt thou follow, that thou mayest live, and inherit the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. |
| 21 Tu ne planteras ni de grands bois ni aucun arbre auprès de l'autel du Seigneur ton Dieu. | 21 Thou shalt not plant thee a grove of any trees near unto the altar of the LORD thy God, which thou shalt make thee. |
| 22 Tu ne te feras et ne te dresseras point de statue, parce que le Seigneur ton Dieu hait toutes ces choses. | 22 Neither shalt thou set thee up any image; which the LORD thy God hateth. |
