| 1 Le Seigneur parla ensuite à Moïse, et lui dit : | 1 The LORD said to Moses, |
| 2 Tu dresseras le tabernacle du (de) témoignage au premier jour du premier mois. | 2 "On the first day of the first month you shall erect the tabernacle of the tent of meeting. |
| 3 (Et) Tu y mettras l'arche, et tu suspendras le voile par devant. | 3 And you shall put in it the ark of the testimony, and you shall screen the ark with the veil. |
| 4 (Puis) Tu apporteras la table, et tu y mettras dessus ce que je t'ai commandé, selon l'ordre qui t'a été prescrit. Tu placeras le chandelier avec ses lampes, | 4 And you shall bring in the table, and set its arrangements in order; and you shall bring in the lampstand, and set up its lamps. |
| 5 et l'autel d'or sur lequel se brûle l'encens, devant l'arche du témoignage. Tu mettras le voile à l'entrée du tabernacle, | 5 And you shall put the golden altar for incense before the ark of the testimony, and set up the screen for the door of the tabernacle. |
| 6 et au-devant du voile l'autel des holocaustes. | 6 You shall set the altar of burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, |
| 7 Le bassin, que tu rempliras d'eau, sera entre l'autel et le tabernacle. | 7 and place the laver between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it. |
| 8 Tu entoureras de rideaux le parvis et son entrée. | 8 And you shall set up the court round about, and hang up the screen for the gate of the court. |
| 9 Et prenant l'huile d'onction, tu en oindras le tabernacle avec ses vases, afin qu'ils soient sanctifiés ; | 9 Then you shall take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle and all that is in it, and consecrate it and all its furniture; and it shall become holy. |
| 10 l'autel des holocaustes et tous ses vases, | 10 You shall also anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and consecrate the altar; and the altar shall be most holy. |
| 11 le bassin avec sa base ; tu consacreras toutes choses avec l'huile destinée aux onctions, afin qu'elles soient (très) saintes et sacrées. | 11 You shall also anoint the laver and its base, and consecrate it. |
| 12 Tu feras venir Aaron et ses fils à l'entrée du tabernacle du témoignage, et les ayant fait laver dans l'eau, | 12 Then you shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the tent of meeting, and shall wash them with water, |
| 13 tu les revêtiras des vêtements saints, afin qu'ils me servent, et que leur onction passe pour jamais dans tous les prêtres qui leur succéderont. | 13 and put upon Aaron the holy garments, and you shall anoint him and consecrate him, that he may serve me as priest. |
| 14 Et Moïse fit tout ce que le Seigneur lui avait commandé. | 14 You shall bring his sons also and put coats on them, |
| 15 Ainsi, le tabernacle fut dressé le premier jour du premier mois de la seconde année. | 15 and anoint them, as you anointed their father, that they may serve me as priests: and their anointing shall admit them to a perpetual priesthood throughout their generations." |
| 16 Moïse, l'ayant dressé, mit les ais avec les bases et les barres de bois, et il posa les colonnes. | 16 Thus did Moses; according to all that the LORD commanded him, so he did. |
| 17 (Puis) Il étendit le toit au-dessus du tabernacle et mit dessus la couverture, selon que le Seigneur le lui avait commandé. | 17 And in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, the tabernacle was erected. |
| 18 (De plus) Il mit le témoignage dans l'arche, et au-dessous, des deux côtés, les bâtons pour la porter (leviers), et l'oracle tout au-dessus. | 18 Moses erected the tabernacle; he laid its bases, and set up its frames, and put in its poles, and raised up its pillars; |
| 19 Et ayant porté l'arche dans le tabernacle, il suspendit le voile par devant, pour accomplir le commandement du Seigneur. | 19 and he spread the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent over it, as the LORD had commanded Moses. |
| 20 Il mit (aussi) la table dans le tabernacle du (de) témoignage, du côté du septentrion, hors du voile, | 20 And he took the testimony and put it into the ark, and put the poles on the ark, and set the mercy seat above on the ark; |
| 21 et il plaça dessus en ordre, devant le Seigneur, les pains qui devaient être toujours exposés (de proposition) (, selon que le Seigneur le lui avait commandé). | 21 and he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the veil of the screen, and screened the ark of the testimony; as the LORD had commanded Moses. |
| 22 Il mit aussi le chandelier dans le tabernacle du (de) témoignage, du côté du midi, vis-à-vis de la table, | 22 And he put the table in the tent of meeting, on the north side of the tabernacle, outside the veil, |
| 23 et il y disposa les lampes selon leur rang, comme le Seigneur le lui avait ordonné (selon le précepte du Seigneur). | 23 and set the bread in order on it before the LORD; as the LORD had commanded Moses. |
| 24 Il mit encore l'autel d'or sous la tente du (le toit de) témoignage devant (contre) le voile, | 24 And he put the lampstand in the tent of meeting, opposite the table on the south side of the tabernacle, |
| 25 et il brûla dessus l'encens composé (un parfum) d'aromates, selon que le Seigneur le lui avait commandé. | 25 and set up the lamps before the LORD; as the LORD had commanded Moses. |
| 26 Il mit aussi le voile à l'entrée du tabernacle du (de) témoignage, | 26 And he put the golden altar in the tent of meeting before the veil, |
| 27 et, dans le vestibule du témoignage l'autel de l'holocauste, sur lequel il offrit l'holocauste et les sacrifices, selon que le Seigneur l'avait commandé. | 27 and burnt fragrant incense upon it; as the LORD had commanded Moses. |
| 28 Il posa aussi le bassin entre le tabernacle du (de) témoignage et l'autel, et il le remplit d'eau. | 28 And he put in place the screen for the door of the tabernacle. |
| 29 Moïse et Aaron et ses fils y lavèrent leurs mains et leurs pieds, | 29 And he set the altar of burnt offering at the door of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and offered upon it the burnt offering and the cereal offering; as the LORD had commanded Moses. |
| 30 avant d'entrer dans le tabernacle de (sous le toit d') l'alliance et de s'approcher de l'autel, comme le Seigneur l'avait ordonné à Moïse. | 30 And he set the laver between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it for washing, |
| 31 Il dressa aussi le parvis autour du tabernacle et de l'autel, et mit le voile à l'entrée. Après que toutes choses eurent été achevées, | 31 with which Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet; |
| 32 la nuée couvrit le tabernacle du (de) témoignage, et il fut rempli de la gloire du Seigneur. | 32 when they went into the tent of meeting, and when they approached the altar, they washed; as the LORD commanded Moses. |
| 33 Et Moïse ne pouvait entrer dans la tente de (sous le toit d') l'alliance, parce que la nuée couvrait tout, et que la majesté du Seigneur éclatait de toutes parts, tout étant couvert de cette nuée. | 33 And he erected the court round the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the screen of the gate of the court. So Moses finished the work. |
| 34 Quand la nuée se retirait du tabernacle, les enfants d'Israël partaient par diverses troupes (selon leurs bandes) : | 34 Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. |
| 35 Si elle s'arrêtait (restait suspendue) au-dessus, ils demeuraient dans le même lieu. | 35 And Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting, because the cloud abode upon it, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. |
| 36 Car la nuée du Seigneur se reposait sur le tabernacle durant le jour, et une flamme y paraissait pendant la nuit, tout Israël la voyant dans toutes ses étapes (leurs demeures). | 36 Throughout all their journeys, whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the people of Israel would go onward; |
| 37 but if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not go onward till the day that it was taken up. |
| 38 For throughout all their journeys the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel. |
