1 Hallelujah!	1 Alleluia. Loda il Signore, anima mia.
2 Praise the LORD, my soul; I shall praise the LORD all my life, sing praise to my God while I live.	2 Loderò il Signore finché avrò vita, inneggerò al mio Dio per tutta la mia esistenza.
3 I Put no trust in princes, in mere mortals powerless to save.	3 Non confidate nei potenti, in un figlio d'uomo che non dà salvezza.
4 When they breathe their last, they return to the earth; that day all their planning comes to nothing.	4 Esala il suo spirito e ritorna alla terra: in quel giorno periscono i suoi disegni.
5 Happy those whose help is Jacob's God, whose hope is in the LORD, their God,	5 Beato colui che ha per aiuto il Dio di Giacobbe, che ha per speranza il Signore suo Dio!
6 The maker of heaven and earth, the seas and all that is in them, Who keeps faith forever,	6 Egli ha fatto cieli e terra, il mare e tutto ciò ch'esso contiene. Conserva la fedeltà per sempre.
7 secures justice for the oppressed, gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets prisoners free;	7 Rende giustizia agli oppressi, dà il pane agli affamati; il Signore libera i prigionieri.
8 the LORD gives sight to the blind. The LORD raises up those who are bowed down; the LORD loves the righteous.	8 Il Signore ridona la vista ai ciechi, il Signore rialza quanti sono caduti, il Signore ama i giusti.
9 The LORD protects the stranger, sustains the orphan and the widow, but thwarts the way of the wicked.	9 Il Signore custodisce gli stranieri, sostiene l'orfano e la vedova, mentre sconvolge la via degli empi.
10 The LORD shall reign forever, your God, Zion, through all generations! Hallelujah!	10 Il Signore regnerà in eterno: il tuo Re, o Sion, di generazione in generazione.
