1 Hallelujah!	1 ALLELUIA. Lauda, anima mea, Dominum;
2 Praise the LORD, my soul; I shall praise the LORD all my life, sing praise to my God while I live.	2 laudabo Dominum in vita mea, psallam Deo meo, quamdiu fuero.
3 I Put no trust in princes, in mere mortals powerless to save.	3 Nolite confidere in principibus, in filiis hominum, in quibus non est salus.
4 When they breathe their last, they return to the earth; that day all their planning comes to nothing.	4 Exibit spiritus eius, et revertetur in terram suam; in illa die peribunt cogitationes eorum.
5 Happy those whose help is Jacob's God, whose hope is in the LORD, their God,	5 Beatus, cuius Deus Iacob est adiutor, cuius spes in Domino Deo suo,
6 The maker of heaven and earth, the seas and all that is in them, Who keeps faith forever,	6 qui fecit caelum et terram, mare et omnia, quae in eis sunt; qui custodit veritatem in saeculum,
7 secures justice for the oppressed, gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets prisoners free;	7 facit iudicium oppressis, dat escam esurientibus. Dominus solvit compeditos,
8 the LORD gives sight to the blind. The LORD raises up those who are bowed down; the LORD loves the righteous.	8 Dominus illuminat caecos, Dominus erigit depressos, Dominus diligit iustos,
9 The LORD protects the stranger, sustains the orphan and the widow, but thwarts the way of the wicked.	9 Dominus custodit advenas, pupillum et viduam sustentat et viam peccatorum disperdit.
10 The LORD shall reign forever, your God, Zion, through all generations! Hallelujah!	10 Regnabit Dominus in saecula, Deus tuus, Sion, in generationem et generationem.
