26 Hatalma azonban nem állandó, csak a gonoszok útjait tartja hatalmában, de nem perzseli lángjával az igazakat. Akik elhagyják Istent, azok esnek hatalmába. Kigyúl az bennük, s el sem alszik; rájuk rohan, mint az oroszlán, és marja őket, mint a párduc. Kerítsd el füledet tövissövénnyel, és ne hallgass a gonosz nyelvre, készíts szádra ajtót és reteszt! Ha elzárod aranyodat, ezüstödet, szavaidnak is készíts mérleget, és szádnak megfelelő zabolát! Vigyázz, hogy el ne ess a nyelv miatt, le ne roskadj a rád leső ellenségek előtt, és bukásod gyógyíthatatlan, halálos ne legyen!	26 Take care not to slip by your tongue and fall victim to your foe waiting in ambush.
