Isaías 60

BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 ¡Arriba, resplandece, que ha llegado tu luz, y la gloria de Yahveh sobre ti ha amanecido!	1 Arise, shine out, for your light has come, and the glory of Yahweh has risen on you.
2 Pues mira cómo la oscuridad cubre la tierra, y espesa nube a los pueblos, mas sobre ti amanece Yahveh y su gloria sobre ti aparece.	2 Look! though night stil covers the earth and darkness the peoples, on you Yahweh is rising and overyou his glory can be seen.
3 Caminarán las naciones a tu luz, y los reyes al resplandor de tu alborada.	3 The nations wil come to your light and kings to your dawning brightness.
4 Alza los ojos en torno y mira: todos se reúnen y vienen a ti. Tus hijos vienen de lejos, y tus hijas son llevadas en brazos.	4 Lift up your eyes and look around: al are assembling and coming towards you, your sons coming fromfar away and your daughters being carried on the hip.
5 Tú entonces al verlo te pondrás radiante, se estremecerá y se ensanchará tu corazón, porque vendrán a ti los tesoros del mar, las riquezas de las naciones vendrán a ti.	5 At this sight you wil grow radiant, your heart will throb and dilate, since the riches of the sea wil flow toyou, the wealth of the nations come to you;
6 Un sin fin de camellos te cubrirá, jóvenes dromedarios de Madián y Efá. Todos ellos de Sabá vienen portadores de oro e incienso y pregonando alabanzas a Yahveh.	6 camels in throngs wil fill your streets, the young camels of Midian and Ephah; everyone in Saba willcome, bringing gold and incense and proclaiming Yahweh's praises.
7 Todas las ovejas de Quedar se apiñarán junto a ti, los machos cabríos de Nebayot estarán a tu servicio. Subirán en holocausto agradable a mi altar, y mi hermosa Casa hermosearé aún más.	7 Al the flocks of Kedar will gather inside you, the rams of Nebaioth wil be at your service as acceptablevictims on my altar, and I shal glorify my glorious house.
8 ¿Quiénes son éstos que como nube vuelan, como palomas a sus palomares?	8 Who are these flying like a cloud, like doves to their dovecote?
9 Los barcos se juntan para mí, los navíos de Tarsis en cabeza, para traer a tus hijos de lejos, junto con su plata y su oro, por el nombre de Yahveh tu Dios y por el Santo de Israel, que te hermosea.	9 Why, the coasts and islands put their hope in me and the vessels of Tarshish take the lead in bringing your children from far away, and their silver and gold with them, for the sake of the name of Yahweh your God,of the Holy One of Israel who has made you glorious.
10 Hijos de extranjeros construirán tus muros, y sus reyes se pondrán a tu servicio, porque en mi cólera te herí, pero en mi benevolencia he tenido compasión de ti.	10 Foreigners wil rebuild your walls and their kings wil serve you. For though I struck you in anger, inmercy I have pitied you.
11 Abiertas estarán tus puertas de continuo; ni de día ni de noche se cerrarán, para dejar entrar a ti las riquezas de las naciones, traídas por sus reyes.	11 Your gates wil always be open, never closed, either day or night, for the riches of the nations to bebrought you and their kings to be let in.
12 Pues la nación y el reino que no se sometan a ti perecerán, esas naciones serán arruinadas por completo.	12 For the nation and kingdom that wil not serve you wil perish, and the nations wil be utterly destroyed.
13 La gloria del Líbano vendrá a ti, el ciprés, el olmo y el boj a una, a embellecer mi Lugar Santo y honrar el lugar donde mis pies reposan.	13 The glory of the Lebanon wil come to you, cypress, plane-tree, box-tree, one and all, to adorn the siteof my sanctuary, for me to honour the place where I stand.
14 Acudirán a ti encorvados los hijos de los que te humillaban, se postrarán a tus pies todos los que te menospreciaban, y te llamarán la Ciudad de Yahveh, la Sión del Santo de Israel.	14 Your oppressors' children wil humbly approach you, at your feet al who despised you will faladdressing you as 'City of Yahweh', 'Zion of the Holy One of Israel'.
15 En vez de estar tú abandonada, aborrecida y sin viandantes, yo te convertiré en lozanía eterna, gozo de siglos y siglos.	15 Instead of your being forsaken and hated, avoided by everyone, I will make you an object of eternalpride, a source of joy from age to age.
16 Te nutrirás con la leche de las naciones, con las riquezas de los reyes serás amamantada, y sabrás que yo soy Yahveh tu Salvador, y el que rescata, el Fuerte de Jacob.	16 You wil suck the milk of nations, you wil suck the wealth of kings, and you wil know that I, Yahweh,am your Saviour, that your redeemer is the Mighty One of Jacob.
17 En vez de bronce traeré oro, en vez de hierro traeré plata, en vez de madera, bronce, y en vez de piedras, hierro. Te pondré como gobernantes la Paz, y por gobierno la Justicia.	17 For bronze I shal bring gold and for iron I shal bring silver, and for wood, bronze, and for stone, iron; Ishall make Peace your administration and Saving Justice your government.
18 No se oirá más hablar de violencia en tu tierra, ni de despojo o quebranto en tus fronteras, antes llamarás a tus murallas «Salvación» y a tus puertas «Alabanza».	18 Violence wil no longer be heard of in your country, nor devastation and ruin within your frontiers. Youwil cal your wal s 'Salvation' and your gates 'Praise'.
19 No será para ti ya nunca más el sol luz del día, ni el resplandor de la luna te alumbrará de noche, sino que tendrás a Yahveh por luz eterna, y a tu Dios por tu hermosura.	19 No more wil the sun give you daylight, nor moonlight shine on you, but Yahweh wil be youreverlasting light, your God wil be your splendour.
20 No se pondrá jamás tu sol, ni tu luna menguará, pues Yahveh será para ti luz eterna, y se habrán acabado los días de tu luto.	20 Your sun will set no more nor wil your moon wane, for Yahweh wil be your everlasting light and yourdays of mourning will be over.
21 Todos los de tu pueblo serán justos, para siempre heredarán la tierra; retoño de mis plantaciones, obra de mis manos para manifestar mi gloria.	21 Your people, al of them upright, wil possess the country for ever, the shoot I myself have planted, myhandiwork, for my own glory.
22 El más pequeño vendrá a ser un millar, el más chiquito, una nación poderosa. Yo, Yahveh, a su tiempo me apresuraré a cumplirlo.	22 The smal est wil grow into a thousand, the weakest one into a mighty nation. When the time is ripe, I,Yahweh, shal quickly bring it about.
