1 Oráculo sobre Moab. Porque de noche ha sido saqueada, Ar Moab ha perecido Porque de noche ha sido saqueada, Quir Moab ha perecido.	1 Oracle on Moab: Laid waste in a night, Ar of Moab is destroyed; Laid waste in a night, Kir of Moab is destroyed.
2 Subía la hija de Dibbón a los oteros llorando: sobre el Nebo y sobre Medba Moab ulula. En todas sus cabezas, calvicie; toda barba, raída.	2 Up goes daughter Dibon to the high places to weep; Over Nebo and over Medeba Moab wails. Every head is shaved, every beard sheared off.
3 En sus calles se han ceñido sayal, sobre sus azoteas y en sus plazas todo el mundo ulula, baja llorando.	3 In the streets they wear sackcloth, lamenting and weeping; On the rooftops and in the squares everyone wails.
4 Gritaban Jesbón y Elalé, hasta Yahas se oía su voz. Por eso los guerreros de Moab tiemblan, su alma le tiembla dentro.	4 Heshbon and Elealeh cry out, they are heard as far as Jahaz. At this the loins of Moab tremble, his soul quivers within him;
5 Su corazón por Moab clama, sus fugitivos van hasta Soar (Eglat Selisiyyá). ¡La cuesta de Lujit la suben llorando, y por el camino de Joronáyim dan gritos desgarrados!	5 The heart of Moab cries out, his fugitives reach Zoar (Eglath-shelishiyah). The ascent of Luhith they climb weeping; On the way to Horonaim they utter rending cries.
6 ¡Las aguas de Nimrim son un sequedal, y se ha secado la hierba, se agostó el césped, no hay verdor!	6 The waters of Nimrim have become a waste; The grass is withered, new growth is gone, nothing is green.
7 Por eso hicieron ahorros... y sus reservas allende el arroyo de los Sauces se las llevan.	7 So now whatever they have acquired or stored away they carry across the Gorge of the Poplars,
8 ¡Los gritos han rodeado las fronteras de Moab; hasta Egláyim llega su ulular, en Beer Elim su ulular!	8 For the cry has gone round the land of Moab; As far as Eglaim the wailing, and to Beer-elim, the wail.
9 ¡Las aguas de Dimón van llenas de sangre! ¡Aún más añadiré sobre Dimón! ¡Contra los escapados de Moab, y contra los que queden en su suelo un león!	9 The waters of Dimon are filled with blood, but I will bring still more upon Dimon: Lions for those who are fleeing from Moab and for those who remain in the land!
