1 Cuando entraron en Ecbátana dijo Tobías: «Hermano Azarías, guíame en derechura a casa de Ragüel, nuestro hermano». Le condujo, pues a casa de Ragüel y le encontraron sentado a la puerta del patio. Le saludaron ellos primero y él les contestó: «Mucha dicha os deseo, hermanos, y en buena salud vengáis». Los llevó a su casa	1 And when they were come to Ecbatane, they came to the house of Raguel, and Sara met them: and after they had saluted one another, she brought them into the house.
2 y dijo a su mujer Edna: «¡Cómo se parece este muchacho a mi hermano Tobit!»	2 Then said Raguel to Edna his wife, How like is this young man to Tobit my cousin!
3 Edna les preguntó: «¿De dónde sois, hermanos?» Respondieron: «Somos de los hijos de Neftalí, de los deportados de Nínive».	3 And Raguel asked them, From whence are ye, brethren? To whom they said, We are of the sons of Nephthalim, which are captives in Nineve.
4 Les dijo: «¿Conocéis a Tobit, nuestro hermano?» Ellos contestaron: «Sí, le conocemos». - «¿Está bien?» -	4 Then he said to them, Do ye know Tobit our kinsman? And they said, We know him. Then said he, Is he in good health?
5 «Vive y está bien». Y Tobías añadió: «Es mi padre».	5 And they said, He is both alive, and in good health: and Tobias said, He is my father.
6 Ragüel se puso en pie de un salto, le besó, lloró y le dijo: «¡Bendito seas, hijo! Tienes un padre honrado y bueno. ¡Qué gran desgracia, haberse quedado ciego un hombre tan justo y tan limosnero!» Y echándose al cuello de su hermano Tobías, rompió a llorar.	6 Then Raguel leaped up, and kissed him, and wept,
7 También lloró su mujer Edna y su hija Sarra.	7 And blessed him, and said unto him, Thou art the son of an honest and good man. But when he had heard that Tobit was blind, he was sorrowful, and wept.
8 Mató luego un carnero del rebaño y los acogió con toda cordialidad.	8 And likewise Edna his wife and Sara his daughter wept. Moreover they entertained them cheerfully; and after that they had killed a ram of the flock, they set store of meat on the table. Then said Tobias to Raphael, Brother Azarias, speak of those things of which thou didst talk in the way, and let this business be dispatched.
9 Después de lavarse y bañarse, se pusieron a comer. Tobías dijo entonces a Rafael: «Hermano Azarías, di a Ragüel que me dé por mujer a mi hermana Sarra».	9 So he communicated the matter with Raguel: and Raguel said to Tobias, Eat and drink, and make merry:
10 Al oír Ragüel estas palabras dijo al joven: «Come, bebe y disfruta esta noche, porque ningún hombre hay, fuera de ti, que tenga derecho a tomar a mi hija Sarra, de modo que ni yo mismo estoy facultado para darla a otro, si no es a ti, que eres mi pariente más próximo. Pero voy a hablarte con franqueza, muchacho.	10 For it is meet that thou shouldest marry my daughter: nevertheless I will declare unto thee the truth.
11 Ya la he dado a siete maridos, de nuestros hermanos, y todos murieron la misma noche que entraron donde ella. Así que, muchacho, ahora come y bebe y el Señor os dará su gracia y su paz». Pero Tobías replicó: «No comeré ni beberé hasta que no hayas tomado una decisión acerca de lo que te he pedido». Ragüel le dijo: «¡Está bien! A ti se te debe dar, según la sentencia del libro de Moisés, y el Cielo decreta que te sea dada. Recibe a tu hermana. A partir de ahora, tú eres su hermano y ella es tu hermana. Tuya es desde hoy por siempre. Que el Señor del Cielo os guíe a buen fin esta noche, hijo, y os dé su gracia y su paz».	11 I have given my daughter in marriage te seven men, who died that night they came in unto her: nevertheless for the present be merry. But Tobias said, I will eat nothing here, till we agree and swear one to another.
12 Llamó Ragüel a su hija Sarra, y cuando ella se presentó, la tomó de la mano y se la entregó a Tobías, diciendo: «Recíbela, pues se te da por mujer, según la ley y la sentencia escrita en el libro de Moisés. Tómala y llévala con bien a la casa de tu padre. Y que el Dios del Cielo os guíe en paz por el buen camino».	12 Raguel said, Then take her from henceforth according to the manner, for thou art her cousin, and she is thine, and the merciful God give you good success in all things.
13 Llamó luego a la madre, mandó traer una hoja de papiro y escribió el contrato matrimonial, con lo cual se la entregó por mujer, conforme a la sentencia de la ley de Moisés.	13 Then he called his daughter Sara, and she came to her father, and he took her by the hand, and gave her to be wife to Tobias, saying, Behold, take her after the law of Moses, and lead her away to thy father. And he blessed them;
14 Y acabado esto, empezaron a comer y beber.	14 And called Edna his wife, and took paper, and did write an instrument of covenants, and sealed it.
15 Ragüel llamó a su mujer Edna y le dijo: «Hermana, prepara la otra habitación y lleva allí a Sarra».	15 Then they began to eat.
16 Ella fue y preparó un lecho en la habitación, tal como se lo había ordenado, y llevó allí a Sarra. Lloró ella y luego, secándose las lágrimas, le dijo: «Ten confianza, hija: que el Señor del Cielo te dé alegría en vez de esta tristeza. Ten confianza, hija». Y salió.	16 After Raguel called his wife Edna, and said unto her, Sister, prepare another chamber, and bring her in thither.
