1 Eliseo dijo a la mujer cuyo hijo había resucitado: «Levántate y vete, tú y tu casa, a residir donde puedas, porque Yahveh ha llamado al hambre y viene ya hacia la tierra por siete años».	1 And Eliseus spoke to the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying: Arise, and go thou and thy household, and sojourn wheresoever thou canst find: for the Lord hath exiled a famine, and it shall come upon the land seven years.
2 Se levantó la mujer e hizo según la palabra del hombre de Dios; se fue ella y su familia a vivir en tierra de filisteos siete años.	2 And she arose, and did according to the word of the man of God: and going with her household, she sojourned in the land of the Philistines many days.
3 Al cabo de los siete años volvió la mujer del país de los filisteos y fue a apelar al rey por su casa y por su campo.	3 And when the seven years were ended, the woman returned out of the land of the Philistines, and she went forth to speak to the king for her house, and for her lands.
4 Estaba el rey hablando con Guejazí, criado del hombre de Dios, y le decía: «Cuéntame todas las grandes cosas que hizo Eliseo».	4 And the king talked with Giezi, the servant of the man of God, saying: Tell me all the great things that Eliseus hath done.
5 Estaba él contando al rey cómo había resucitado al muerto, cuando llegó la mujer, cuyo hijo había resucitado, para apelar al rey por su casa y su campo y dijo Guejazí: «¡Oh mi señor! Esta es la mujer y éste su hijo, al que resucitó Eliseo».	5 And when he was telling the king how he had raised one dead to life, the woman appeared, whose son he had restored to life, crying to the king for her house, and her lands. And Giezi said: My lord O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Eliseus raised to life.
6 Preguntó el rey a la mujer y ella se lo relató; el rey puso un eunuco a disposición de la mujer diciendo: «Que se le devuelva todo lo suyo, con todos los productos del campo, desde el día en que ella abandonó la tierra hasta ahora».	6 And the king asked the woman: and she told him. And the king appointed her an eunuch, saying: Restore her all that is hers, and all the revenues of the lands, from the day that she left the land, to this present.
7 Eliseo fue a Damasco. Ben Hadad, rey de Aram, estaba enfermo y le avisaron: «El hombre de Dios ha venido aquí».	7 Eliseus also came to Damascus, and Benadad king of Syria was sick: and they told him, saying: The man of God is come hither.
8 Dijo el rey a Jazael: «Toma en tu mano un presente y vete al encuentro del hombre de Dios y consulta a Yahveh por su medio diciendo: ¿Sobreviviré a esta enfermedad?»	8 And the king said to Hazael: Take with thee presents, and go to meet the man of God, and consult the Lord by him, saying: Can I recover of this my illness?
9 Fue Jazael a su encuentro llevando en su mano un presente de todo lo mejor de Damasco, la carga de cuarenta camellos; entró, se detuvo ante él y dijo: «Tu hijo Ben Hadad, rey de Aram, me ha enviado a ti para preguntarte: ¿Sobreviviré a esta enfermedad?»	9 And Hazael went to meet him, taking with him presents, and all the good things of Damascus, the burdens of forty camels. And when he stood before him, he said: Thy son Benadad the king of Syria hath sent me to thee, saying: Can I recover of this my illness?
10 Eliseo le dijo: «Vete y dile: “Puedes vivir”; pero Yahveh me ha hecho ver que de cierto morirá».	10 And Eliseus said to him: Go tell him: Thou shalt recover: bat the Lord hath shewn me that he shall surely die.
11 Y se inmovilizaron sus facciones quedándose rígido en extremo, y rompió a llorar el varón de Dios.	11 And he stood with him, and was troubled so far as to blush: and the man of God wept.
12 Dijo Jazael: «¿Por qué llora mi señor?» Le respondió: «Porque sé el mal que vas a hacer a los israelitas: pasarás a fuego sus fortalezas, matarás a espada a sus mejores, aplastarás a sus pequeñuelos y abrirás el vientre a sus embarazadas».	12 And Hazael said to him: Why doth my lord weep? And he said: Because I know the evil that thou wilt do to the children of Israel. Their strong cities then wilt burn with fire, and their young men thou wilt kill with the sword, and thou wilt dash their children, and rip up their pregnant women.
13 Dijo Jazael: «Pues, ¿qué es tu siervo? ¿Como un perro hará cosa tan enorme?» Respondió Eliseo: «Yahveh ha hecho que te vea como rey de Aram».	13 And Hazael said: But what am I thy servant a dog, that I should do this great thing? And Eliseus said: The Lord hath shewn me that thou shalt be king of Syria.
14 Partió de junto a Eliseo y llegó donde su señor. Le preguntó: «¿Qué te ha dicho Eliseo?» Respondió: «Me ha dicho que puedes vivir».	14 And when he was departed from Eliseus, he came to his master, who said to him: What saith Eliseus to thee? And he answered: He told me: Thou shalt recover.
15 A la mañana siguiente tomó una manta, la empapó en agua y la extendió sobre su rostro y murió. Reinó en su lugar Jazael.	15 And on the next day he took a blanket, and pouted water on it, and spread it upon his face: and he died, and Hazael reigned in his stead.
16 El año quinto de Joram, hijo de Ajab, rey de Israel, comenzó a reinar Joram, hijo de Josafat, rey de Judá.	16 In the fifth year of Joram son of Achab king of Israel, and of Josaphat king of Juda, reigned Joram son of Josaphat king of Juda.
17 Tenía 32 años cuando comenzó a reinar y reinó ocho años en Jerusalén.	17 He was two and thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.
18 Anduvo por el camino de los reyes de Israel como había hecho la casa de Ajab, porque se había casado con una mujer de la familia de Ajab, e hizo mal a los ojos de Yahveh.	18 And he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, as the house of Achab had walked: for the daughter of Achab was his wife: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord.
19 Pero Yahveh no quiso destruir a Judá a causa de David su siervo según lo que le había dicho, que le daría una lámpara en su presencia para siempre.	19 But the Lord would not destroy Juda, for David his servant's sake, as he had promised him, to give him a light, and to his children always.
20 En sus días se rebeló Edom de bajo la mano de Judá, y se proclamaron un rey.	20 In his days Edom revolted, from being under Juda, and made themselves a king.
21 Pasó Joram a Saír con todos sus carros. Se levantó por la noche y batió a Edom que le tenía cercado a él y a los jefes de los carros, pero el pueblo huyó a sus tiendas.	21 And Joram came to Seira, and all the chariots with him: and he arose in the night, and defeated the Edomites that had surrounded him, and the captains of the chariots, but the people fled into their tents.
22 Así se rebeló Edom de bajo la mano de Judá hasta el día de hoy; también se rebeló Libná. En aquel tiempo...	22 So Edom revolted from being under Juda, unto this day. Then Lobna also revolted at the same time.
23 El resto de los hechos de Joram, todo lo que hizo ¿no está escrito en el libro de los Anales de los reyes de Judá?	23 But the rest of the acts of Joram, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Juda?
24 Joram se acostó con sus padres y fue sepultado con sus padres en la ciudad de David, y reinó en su lugar su hijo Ocozías.	24 And Joram slept with his fathers, and was buried with them in the city of David, and Ochozias his son reigned in Iris stead.
25 El año doce de Joram, hijo de Ajab, rey de Israel, comenzó a reinar Ocozías, hijo de Joram, rey de Judá.	25 In the twelfth year of Joram son of Achab king of Israel, reigned Ochozias son of Joram king of Juda.

28 Partió con Joram, hijo de Ajab, para hacer la guerra a Jazael, rey de Aram, en Ramot de Galaad, y los arameos hirieron a Joram.	28 He went also with Joram son of Achab, to fight against Hazael king of Syria in Ramoth Galaad, and the Syrians wounded Joram:
29 El rey Joram se volvió a Yizreel para curarse de las heridas que le habían infligido los arameos en Ramot cuando combatía a Jazael, rey de Aram; Ocozías, hijo de Joram, rey de Judá, bajó a Yizreel a visitar a Joram, hijo de Ajab, porque estaba enfermo.	29 And he went back to be healed, in Jezrahel: because the Syrians had wounded him in Ramoth when he fought against Hazael king of Syria. And Ochozias the son of Joram king of Juda, went down to visit Joram the son of Achab in Jezrahel, because he was sick there.
