| 2 Al tercer año bajó Josafat, rey de Judá, donde el rey de Israel, | 2 But in the third year Jehoshaphat the king of Judah came down to the king of Israel. |
| 3 y el rey de Israel dijo a sus servidores: «Vosotros sabéis que Ramot de Galaad nos pertenece y no hacemos nada por rescatarla de manos del rey de Aram». | 3 And the king of Israel said to his servants, "Do you know that Ramoth-gilead belongs to us, and we keep quiet and do not take it out of the hand of the king of Syria?" |
| 4 Dijo a Josafat: «¿Quieres venir conmigo para atacar a Ramot de Galaad?» Josafat respondió al rey de Israel: «Yo soy como tú, mi pueblo como tu pueblo, mis caballos como tus caballos». | 4 And he said to Jehoshaphat, "Will you go with me to battle at Ramoth-gilead?" And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, "I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses." |

| 13 El mensajero que había ido a llamar a Miqueas le habló diciendo: «Mira que los profetas a una voz predicen el bien al rey. Procura hablar como uno de ellos y anuncia el bien». | 13 And the messenger who went to summon Micaiah said to him, "Behold, the words of the prophets with one accord are favorable to the king; let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak favorably." |

| 18 El rey de Israel dijo a Josafat: «¿No te dije que nunca me anuncia el bien sino el mal?» | 18 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, "Did I not tell you that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?" |
| 19 Dijo Miqueas: «Escucha la palabra de Yahveh: He visto a Yahveh sentado en un trono y todo el ejército de los cielos estaba a su lado, a derecha e izquierda. | 19 And Micaiah said, "Therefore hear the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing beside him on his right hand and on his left; |

And he said, 'I will go forth, and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.' And he said, 'You are to entice him, and you shall succeed; go forth and do so.' |
| 23 Ahora, pues, Yahveh ha puesto espíritu de mentira en la boca de todos estos profetas tuyos, pues Yahveh ha predicho el mal contra ti». | 23 Now therefore behold, the LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these your prophets; the LORD has spoken evil concerning you." |

| 25 Miqueas replicó: «Tú mismo lo verás el día en que vayas escondiéndote de aposento en aposento». | 25 And Micaiah said, "Behold, you shall see on that day when you go into an inner chamber to hide yourself." |

| 28 Dijo Miqueas: «Si es que vuelves victorioso, no ha hablado Yahveh por mí». | 28 And Micaiah said, "If you return in peace, the LORD has not spoken by me." And he said, "Hear, all you peoples!" |

Pero Josafat gritó. | 32 And when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, they said, "It is surely the king of Israel." So they turned to fight against him; and Jehoshaphat cried out. |

| 34 Entonces un hombre disparó su arco al azar e hirió al rey de Israel por entre las placas de la coraza, y el rey dijo a su auriga: «Da la vuelta y sácame de la batalla, porque me siento mal». | 34 But a certain man drew his bow at a venture, and struck the king of Israel between the scale armor and the breastplate; therefore he said to the driver of his chariot, "Turn about, and carry me out of the battle, for I am wounded." |
| 35 Arreció aquel día la batalla y el rey fue sostenido en pie en su carro frente a los arameos, y a la tarde murió; la sangre de la herida corría por el fondo del carro. | 35 And the battle grew hot that day, and the king was propped up in his chariot facing the Syrians, until at evening he died; and the blood of the wound flowed into the bottom of the chariot. |

| 39 El resto de los hechos de Ajab, todo cuanto hizo, la casa de marfil que edificó, todas las ciudades que fortificó ¿no está escrito en el libro de los Anales de los reyes de Israel? | 39 Now the rest of the acts of Ahab, and all that he did, and the ivory house which he built, and all the cities that he built, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel? |
